The High Meadows Vineyard is a great place for a couples retreat. My wife and I enjoyed everything about the area. The food was delicious and healthy, the town is charming, and it is located close to many attractions and wineries. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning another trip for next year. I would recommend High Meadows Vineyard to anyone looking for a fun and unique vacation.

Stayed there for a weekend getaway. The location is great and close local wineries and breweries. The breakfast was amazing as was the surrounding restaurants. All of the people were friendly and would recommend this to anyone.

Very nice b & b. The owners were great. Scottsville is a small town, with several good restaurants, close to Charlottesville. I would do the trip again and suggest you do the same.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Cottage Room at High Meadows Vineyard Inn. It's beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and peacefully quiet. The Cottage is only a few steps away from the main Inn; but it proved to be perfect for someone with back and hip trouble, because no steep stairs were necessary to get in and out of our room with luggage, etc. The 2 breakfast meals we enjoyed were deliciously excellent. We didn't meet Cynthia, but Nancy is fun to talk to and is the font of info for things to do, see, and eat around Scottsville and nearby Charlottesville. This was our first stay using the value of a Living Social coupon; however, we would definitely consider staying at High Meadows again even without a Living Social coupon!

Great room in the Cottage Suite. Pleasant proprieter. Good breakfasts. Couple good restaurants in town. Short trip to Charlottesville. Enjoyed our stay. Guess I'm spoiled, but missed having a TV.

My husband and I had a perfect weekend at High Meadows. Our room (the Willow room) was beautiful and comfortable. The two breakfasts we enjoyed at the Inn were of very high quality. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed taking a morning stroll before breakfast. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be once warmer weather arrives. After a full day of wineries and breweries, we were very happy to return to our accommodations. I am very much looking forward to our next visit!

A delightful and colorful Inn. Nancy was full of great suggestions. Winery's close by. Delicious food in town nearby. If you enjoy history, visit Monticello and Monroes homes. Also hiking abounds.

We stayed for two nights in the Peony Room. It was a lovely room. Unfortunately I didn't check ahead to confirm there was a shower, so we used a handheld shower for two days! But the host was wondeful (Nancy) and the food was outstanding. We did a lot of wine tasting and cider tasting. Don't miss the blackberry cobbler at the James Tavern!
The entire attic floor of the Federalist house. Peaked ceiling, clawfoot soaking tub and handheld shower, separate marble tile shower, and a charming king round bed add to the peaceful sweetness of this room. Truly private, the Dogwood is accessed by it's own tall staircase and has 4 tiny windows on either end that look out into the dogwood branches. Pretty in any season - the leaves in fall turn a vibrant red.

The Cottage Suite is the right side of our woodland cottage. With a private sitting area and deck overlooking the back woods, the only sounds you are likely to hear are the birds. Painted to envoke a true cottage experience, this room has the space to spread out and enjoy just a night, or several - have dinner in your own room and curl up to relax with a good book.
Bright and sunny yellow, with a beautiful queen bed. An antique clawfoot tub and handheld shower invite a long soak...in front of the fireplace in fall and winter. Views of the side azalea garden and the front VA Pinoit Noir vineyard are a pleasant way to watch the sun go down.
Nightly Rate: $149 - $189
Also on the second floor of the Victorian house, this room has a king bed, a large walk-in shower, and a cozy armchair to settle in with a good book, in front of the fireplace in fall and winter. Pale willow green walls are accented by chartreuse silk curtains and pillows, and luxurious Anichini linens.
Located on the second floor of the Victorian house, this room has an antique king, four-posted bed, a large walk-in shower and is a beautiful pale blue...the color of a robin's egg, as the room name suggests.
This room is on the main level of the Victorian house. With a large bay window, a luxurious king bed, two-person whirlpool tub and fireplace, this is one of our most requested rooms. Many original finishes still exist on doors and trim, including the faux painted slate mantel and window shutters.
Cottage Room...is the left side of our woodland cottage cabin. A king bed, generous stand-up shower and big window looking out into the woods - curl up on the loveseat and watch the birds!
