Chester was a great place to stay while we explored Charlottesville and Virginia "wine country." Our room was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, and the porch and pond were great for sitting and drinking wine (and coffee in the morning). We also had a delicious four-course dinner with wine. Romantic and relaxing. A group of women were checking in when we left for their annual Chester weekend ... we're going to try to get some friends together and do the same thing next year!

We were looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, and couldn't have been more delighted to have found Chester! Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfasts were decadent. We took walks around the inn with cups of coffee each morning, and explored Charlottesville and some wineries during the day. The innkeepers took wonderful care of us without "hovering." We left completely relaxed and rejuvenated and have already booked for next year. Don't miss this place.

Jean and Craig are great hosts. The 1847 home and grounds are beautiful. Highly recommended.
