A truly wonderful experience and accommodations. Kathleen and Troy really go the extra step in making your stay just perfect. It is really all about your hosts... Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for Woodberry Forest's Parents Weekend. The room was spacious and beautiful and the breakfast was delicious.

We booked our room on relatively short notice and were able to get in. The rooms were clean, large and well-appointed, and breakfast was excellent both mornings. Plenty of nice features, including a comfortable and well-stocked downstairs lounge/bar area to relax and hang out with some of the other guests. Outside, the garden area is well-kept and nicely laid out. The hosts were quite friendly and very willing to help us plan our daily activities. The place is easy to find, even if you're not familiar with the area. Overall, we would have no problem recommending Chestnut Hill to friends, and enjoyed our stay enough to visit again.

Did the romance package, and couples massage. Was very nice. Location was great for a short weekend stay. Food was great, unfortunately it rained so we could not do horseback riding but hit some wineries in the area and they were great as well. Make sure you get the fried chicken in Charlottesville near Montecello at Micchi Tavern. Did a lot of neat antique shopping and browsing and there is a really cool thrift shop down the road. Great view and gardens. Excellent host. Downstairs bar and happy hour with other young couples was a blast. Did the live music and steak at a locale restaurant in town. Would definitely go back

This was me and my husband's first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast so we didn't really know what to expect (we even googled proper B&B etiquette beforehand!). Boy were we pleasantly surprised!! When we first arrived, we were greeted by the friendly innkeepers, Troy and Kathleen. The house is extremely inviting and cozy - their attention to detail can be seen in every single room. While Kathleen gave us a tour and showed us our room, Troy prepared an appetizer to be enjoyed in the lower level bar area, what a lovely surprise! His cooking is amazing! During our stay, we had unlimited access to wine, beer, soft drinks and water - another great surprise we didn't know upon booking. We stayed in the "Ask Anna" room on the lower level and it was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a large glass door shower. Breakfast every morning was delicious, we loved everything about it! Troy helped us plan our activities one day, we really recommend letting them help you since they know so much about the area. We visited some great vineyards, one of them was Honah Lee not far from Chestnut Hill. If it wasn't for Troy and Kathleen, we wouldn't have visited this little gem. Kathleen also helped make dinner reservations, and thanks to her recommendations we had a delicious meal at a nice little restaurant in town. We only have great things to say about Chestnut Hill B&B and its owners, and we cannot wait to come back for our next visit!
