You will fall in love with the owners, Bernie and Sue, who by the way are British. We recomend the "Blue Jay" room..Very personable and quaint with a beautiful view of rolling hills and mountains..The front porch was a great hit with it's swing, and night stars..Bernie and Sue will make you feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful and found out Bernie uses real cream in his eggs, very delicious..Wonderful get away. YES...and Very Peaceful..Go, You will enjoy..........Cindy

My wife and I met with my brother and his wife at Riders Rest for two nights. We had a great time. Bernie and Sue were fantastic hosts. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The best thing about the place is that you felt relaxed and welcome. It was like staying at a good friend's house. And our dogs were welcome too. We'll definately go back!

Amazing weekends are few and far between, but Bernie and Sue are in Lexington ready to help you find something great in the Appalachians. We had a great time hiking, at the swimming hole, and enjoying a drive in movie. The Rider's Rest was comfortable and accomodating with a wonderful breakfast. We didn't come for the horse center, but on Sue's reccomendation we had a great experience and some fresh berries at the saturday morning farmer's market. Our dog Tracker had a great time with his canine host Harley. Thank you for a great weekend!

Riders' Rest is a fantastic bed and breakfast! The Innkeepers, Sue and Bernie, are both very friendly and charming. They are also very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I stayed for a weekend, and the breakfast was fantastic both mornings! The rooms are quite nice as well - ours had a separate sitting room in addition to the bedroom. I would definitely stay here again!

This inn is absolutely charming! The scenery is breathtaking and the landscaping around the inn is beautiful and relaxing. The inn itself is spectacular inside and every little detail is accounted for. The inn keepers are from England and really do bring the British charm into rural Virginia. They are some of the friendliest and most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. If you want to stay at a real B&B that brings the best of everything into one place then Riders Rest is IT!!! Plus, there is an AMAZING drive-in theater right down the street.
