For some reason my GPS could not find this B&B even though I had the exact address and zipcode. Ample parking, beautiful home, but hung with many large photographs of someone else's family. There was a huge framed picture of two women (the owner's wife and daughter?) hanging on the wall over my bed, quite creepy - had to take it down in order to get to sleep. Too much furniture near the windows taking up much of the floor space. The air conditioning was on when I arrived, even though it was cold outside (55 – 57°F). blowing extremely cold air in both the bedroom and the well fitted bathroom. Comprehensive array of beverages and refreshments including an icemaker on the landing. Nice breakfast. Pleasant innkeeper.

This was our 5th stay at the Doctor's Inn so this should say it all! Beautiful location, excellent breakfast & most comfortable beds anywhere. The innkeeper is most gracious and kind!
We love seeing return guests, because you are now our friends. Looking forward to your next visit with us.

This inn was quaint and filled with beautiful furnishing. Comfortable & quiet, just what we needed on a long drive. Thanks for our relaxing visit.

We live less than an hour away, but our visit at The Doctor's Inn felt as though we were in a different world! So pleasant, gracious, and thoughtful.

Love the decor and the aura of the place. Breakfast was wonderful. Ask Margo about her chinchilla.

Mellow lounging on the porch. Good company for the Fiddler's Convention. We'll be back!
There's nothing like the front porch to relax and enjoy the company of others. Thank you and we hope to see you next year.

This is a beautiful B&B nestled in the lovely town of Galax, with easy access to wineries, music, biking and/or hiking on the New River Trail State Park. Margo is more than an accommodating innkeeper and her breakfasts are superb. The decor is impeccable and interesting and the rooms -- all wonderfully different -- are supremely comfortable. We've stayed twice and plan to return again (and again!).
Our goal will always be to make our guest feel as special as they are. Even when your here for a short time, you feel like friends when you leave, which makes this job the very best. I'm looking forward to your next visit! Happy Fall!

The Doctor's Inn was very nice. We were there for the Fiddler's Convention and it was great to be able to walk about 1 mile to the fair grounds. Breakfast was great - much better than any hotel self service breakfast. It was a lovely house, the bed very comfortable, and it was nice to have water, coffee, cocoa and snacks available at anytime.
Thank you for your wonderful review and we look forward to when you can visit us again. Have a great fall and upcoming holidays.

My husband and I chose this B&B because it was close to the New River Trail. This was our first time staying at a B&B. We ran later than we thought, and our Host, Margo, was more than gracious in our uncertain arrival time. When we arrived, a plate of home made cookies were in our room. Our room was very clean, and very lovely. The bathroom was spotless, but also so welcoming with a variety of guest soaps, and other items often forgotten by travelers. In the morning, we had coffee from the Kurig coffee maker and had a lovely wait on the front porch, while breakfast was made - a fabulous breakfast of quiche, bacon, potato, a delicious fruit smoothie and more fresh coffee. So many special touches - Turkish towels and guest robes ... a wonderful bed ... we felt spoiled by the treatment, and plan to return in December. A charming visit.
We're so happy your first B&B experience was so enjoyable. It's always our goal to make each visit a very special memory. We look forward to your visit in December. Happy Fall!
