The Schooler House Bed & Breakfast

  • Inn Details

Step back into Victorian Fredericksburg. Located in the Historic District, The Schooler House was lovingly restored and furnished in period antiques throughout. Each bedroom offers baths en suite, antique iron queen size beds, fireplaces, cable television, and spa robes. Guests may use the parlor, the front porch, and the beautifully landscaped, private back yard. The Garden Room is a wonderful escape and close enough to the pond to hear the waterfall. A full breakfast is prepared, made fresh daily, and served on antique ironstone and silver. The fireplace is roaring on cool mornings, and always candle light.

This little B&B is immaculately clean, very comfortable and perfectly situated for a wonderful walking tour of Fredericksburg, if you are so inclined. Andi and her husband Paul are wonderful hosts. They are extremely warm and welcoming. After just a few minutes, you are sure you made the right choice to stay there. Our breakfast was delicious and it was fun to be served on Andi's antique china, silver and crystal. We fully intend to return in the spring to take advantage of Andi's hospitality, local knowledge and gardening skills while we further explore that charming little city.

Fantastic!! The Schooler B&B was amazing. We felt so welcome. I was prepared to find a hotel and hunker down for the night and be happy with my “free” shampoo and bagel in the morning, but on a whim I called some B&Bs I found on the internet. The other place I called was full. Oh thank you fate¿ The Schooler House was warm and inviting. We had plenty of privacy but could roam the house as we pleased if we wanted to mingle or find an area of the house to sit in and visit. The restoration of the home was meticulous. Every door, window, and piece of trim was perfect. The antiques were adorable as well. It was awesome to see the appreciation for history and hospitality. Breakfast was amazing! The best Earl tea I have had in a long time. I hope Anita can create a frequent flyer card for us. Thank you for an amazing stay. A&J

My wife and I and my daughter and son-in-law (Best Man) stayed here the weekend we got married at the Mary Washington House. We are not strangers to Fredericksburg and loved the Schooler House and will stay there again. Great room and Andi and her husband were more than helpful and the breakfasts were supurb.
