My stay at the Emory House B & B was a delightful experience! The innkeeper makes you feel most comfortable, like this is your home away from home. The breakfast was first class and absolutely scrumptious! I will definitely be enjoying the hospitality there again. I highly recommend the Emory House.

When no one else would take us in because we had a one year child, Rocky welcomed us with open arms. He gave us a room that was away from the rest of the house so that we would not disturb any of the guest. It was very spacious with plenty of room for a Pac-n-Play as well as all the other "stuff" that comes with traveling with a baby. The Emory House is prepared for everything. You could have come with nothing except the clothes on your back and had a very comfortable stay. Anything you could have forgotten was there for use. Bed was very comfortable, and accommodations were very clean (this is coming from someone that will not sleep on hotel bed sheets and blankets). The front porch was very welcoming, and we enjoyed talking with Rocky (the owner) well into the night while enjoying a glass of wine and wonderful weather. Breakfast was fantastic and Rocky even had dishes set up for our one year old. We are looking forward to making this our annual family vacation, as well as some in between spontaneous trips!! We also can't wait to plan a family get together in the amazing cabin that Rocky offers. It is rustic and yet accommodating with central air and heat and sleeps up to 12!! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay. WE WILL BE BACK! BEST BED AND BREAKFAST WE HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!

Recently my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to Abingdon, VA. After searching and searching for the perfect place to stay, I stumbled onto the Emory House Bed & Breakfast. It was the best decision I have ever made (at least as far as choosing where to stay while on vacation). Both Rocky and his wife (the B&B owners) are amazing. From making the reservation, to arriving at the Emory House, to leaving for home...the Underwood's make you feel welcome and at home. Rocky educated us on the house's interesting history, as well as the history of the pioneer cabin that is also situated on the property. They provided lovely, clean accommodations, and assisted in whatever we needed; They are very knowledgeable about the area, good antique shopping in Abingdon, dinner reservations, directions, etc. Also, not only were we cooked an amazing breakfast of brie and apple omelets, yogurt, fresh fruit and granola, bacon, and biscuits, but they were nice enough to leave out cookies and milk, and wine and cheese in the evening. Oh, and I must not forget the hot chocolate with marshmallows in the afternoon. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful, the view of Emory University is delightful, and I'm unable to come up with any criticism for The Emory House. Even the short drive to Abingdon is well worth it (for the record it is only about a 10 min drive). Thanks to the Underwood's we had a fantastic stay and plan to stay with them again on our next visit to the area.
