B&B “de Utrechtse Heuvelrug” is located in the heart of the Netherlands, just outside the hectic and trafficjam of our big cities (but at only 16 – 42 miles distance). A perfect base for making day-tours through our country and returning here each evening, or just walking or cycling in our area. NO packing-unpacking every day. Only 5 miles to motorway-entrance.
This comfortable detached 1970-style house is located in the historic picturesque village Amerongen, boarding the old river Rhine on one side and our National Park on the otherside. Within 5-7 minutes walking you will find some very good restaurants as well as the Amerongen-castle. We enjoy to inform our guests with the needed information and want them to feel home in a relaxed atmosphere.
We have 4 double-rooms:3 standard with shared bathroom-use and 1 masterbedroom with privat bathroom-ensuite. There is a guests-livingroom with TV (for use at breakfast and also evenings on your return). Our luxery masterbedroom (also available with additional single bed) with privat bathroom ensuite is only available if booked in-advance for a stay of 3 or more nights.

    Take the highway of Schiphol-airport to Utrecht and then the highway A-12 (E-35)from Utrecht to Arnhem. Get off at exitnr.22 and follow in direction of Leersum. Passing through Leersum one enters Amerongen and find our house on the righthand side, just 80 meters passed the ABNAMRO-bank,along this N-225 road in the middle of Amerongen-village .

We have no pets, but all the year through you will find different wild birds in our garden and area. If you like to cycle we can provide bike-rentals

    Within Amerongen village you will find the historic castle, and the central building here is shownWe have a sperate guestroom, which can be used evening by our guests and equiped with seats,couch and television. In the morning we serve here our excellent breakfast-
    to reach the Amerongen castle and getting to the main building one passes this gate and crosses the canal surroundig this castleThe center of Ameronge-village is well known for its historic buildings. A lot of them are still in very good condition. Amerongen still has a tobacco-museum and remembering the time tobacco was grown overhere.

    Our masterbedroom is only available for 3 or more nights. It allows an extra bed to be put in. It has its own ensuite privat bathroom. Our outside terrace is special reserved for our guests. We also have a privat parking area for your car.
