Not cluttered or frilly, just beautiful! Experience the casual elegance of The Iron Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast--a stunning, historic home with a new vibe. It has been renovated to offer spacious and comfortable accommodations for today's travelers. Each king and queen room has a private bath and is uniquely decorated with a touch of period furnishings, yet uncluttered surroundings. There is also a separate 2 bedrooms/2 baths suite with a full kitchen for a more private experience. The lush patio terrace provides the perfect spot to have breakfast on warm summer mornings or relax with an afternoon glass of wine or lemonade. An amazing full breakfast complete with freshly baked treats, is served each morning indoors or on the terrace. The Iron Gate Inn is just around the corner from the Utah Shakespeare Festival, SUU (Southern Utah University) campus, as well as Cedar City’s historic Main Street with shopping, galleries, theatre and dining. We’re located in the center of Southern Utah’s breathtaking Color Country… just a short drive to the many national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks), hiking, fishing and mountain biking areas, and fabulous skiing at Brian Head Resort. Cancellations: Two weeks cancellation notice prior to reserved date is required. Processing fee of $25 is charged on all cancellations. Deposit (minus processing fee) is refundable if adequate cancellation notice is given. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival date, full room rate may be charged for each night reserved if re-booking is not possible. All fees and deposits may be transferred once to a future stay within one year. Shortened stays cannot be refunded after check-in.

The Iron Gate is a phenomenal bed and breakfast in Cedar City; my wife and I stayed with Susan and CR for 3 days/2 nights while in town visiting friends and family. They made our stay delightful! The Inn is gorgeous inside and out, and its a short walk to both the college (SUU) and the downtown area. Breakfast? Its indeed something you'd write home about. I can't wait to make my way back to Cedar City and stay at the Iron Gate Inn again!

The proprietors are friendly and helpful. You feel more like you are staying with old friends. Evening socials on the patio are delightful. Two-minute walk to the Shakespeare festival theaters. Great breakfast. This is our third stay and we'll be back.

We've stayed here for several years now - after trying out almost every other B&B in Cedar City this is our favorite: awesome hosts, spacious uncluttered rooms, terrific main floor public spaces for reading or meeting with friends, lovely shaded back patio for breakfast or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Yummy breakfasts, great conversation, good tips for restaurants, and sometimes even insider gossip about the Shakespeare Festival. Easy 1.5 block walk to the festival events!
