Anniversary House

We stay at the Anniversary House every time we come through Cedar City. The Craftsman Style house is extremely comfortable, with all the amenities that make you feel pampered. Nice decor, thick towels, TV, very comfortable beds, candies in the hallway, wonderful dessert for a night time splurge and a fridge with cold drinks. The hostess, Nan, is always personable and full of suggestions for the best meals in town. The breakfasts she prepares are always delightful with extra special bread or other treats on the side. It's always more than we can eat, but we make a good effort.

Our room, The Fall Room, was huge and very comfortable. Lots of space to spread out and relax. The dining room was lovely and airy and looked out over a large deck which I am sure is used in summer. Our bed was large and comfortable and the shower was perhaps the best we had on this trip. Off-road parking and free Wi-Fi which as handy. We loved Nan's infectious laugh and we were welcomed into her home like old friends. Her breakfast was delicious. There are DVDs you can borrow if you feel like watching a movie. This is a great place to stay if you're considering the Shakespeare Festival a little later in the year. Adrienne and Bonnie

This B&B is very nicely decorated. It has a wonderful garden and deck. The food was great and plentiful. If I could improve one thing about our stay, I would have liked a place where I could sit & read when I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. The hanging light in the living room was bulb-free.

My wife and I spent our first weekend at a Bed and Breakfast and chose the Anniversary House. The home was clean, well decorated, great location, food was delicious, and Nan was very welcoming. The Anniversary House exceeded our expectations at every level.

My wife and I stayed at the Anniversary house and really enjoyed it. Nan was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and the chocolate cake was a wonderful night cap. We stayed in the Fall room the first night and loved it. The room was large and had wood floors (my pillow was a little hard but my wife's was just right). The bed was great and the bathroom was spacious with a slate floor in the shower. The second night we stayed in the Summer Room. It was much smaller and had a little bathroom. The TV in the Summer Room was about a fourth the size (I would guess 14") of the TV in the Fall room. Overall a great experience and we would stay at the Anniversary House again.

Stayed 2 nights while excursioning to NP's. Good location in the midst of civilization in the middle of the desert. Very accommodating and enjoyable.

The cleanliness was very good and our room was very comfortable. The covered front porch during a rainstorm was wonderful. Our biggest disappointment in this room and another we have stayed in, is the lack of adequate lighting in the bathrooms. A dim central light in the middle of the bathroom was not at all sufficient to apply makeup, comb hair or other important preparations. The breakfasts are always delicious, as is the chocolate cake.

Our second time at the Utah Shakespeare Festival brought us to another stay at the Anniversary House in Cedar City. We again stayed in a room with a king sized bed on the first floor. There is a downstairs with larger rooms. The room was very comfortable, breakfasts good although much the same egg type casseroles each morning. We love the front porch of this B&B located about two blocks from the Festival. We plan to return to the Anniversary House again.

Our family, 4 kids, 2 adults, stayed for 2 nights at Nan´s nice B&B. Nan was very welcoming and nice in explaining and showing us her rooms. The rooms were great, comfortable, super clean and very relaxing after 1 week of travelling through Nevada, Arizona and Utah. It was our first experience with an american B&B and we will defintely repeat it. We highly recommend Nan as host for a weekend and longer - besides she prepares wonderful english breakfast, which somehow surprised us foreigners, who expected the american style. Thank You, Nan

Three words: Stuffed French Toast. Innkeeper Nan ensures the comfort of her guests in so many ways! From the luxuriant sheets on the comfortable beds to the pleasant gazebo overlooking her lovely garden, The Anniversary House is a place you will want to visit annually. Come to think of it, I do! I came the first time because of the proximity to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, I come back because I trust Nan to make every visit special.

This is our favorite place to stay during the Utah Shakespeare Festival. It's only a couple of blocks from the theaters, making it an easy walk to the shows. It's located on a charming, tree-lined street and the comfortable rooms are furnished with attractive antiques. The owner Nan is friendly and helpful and serves the best breakfast in town! No going through a buffet line here - it's a sit-down breakfast with tons of delicious food and an opportunity to get to know your fellow guests. Highly recommended.

My mother and I stayed at the Anniversary House for 3 nights during the Utah Shakespeare Festival. The location could not be beat, 2 blocks from the theater, 2 blocks from Main St. The room was nice, bed very comfortable, located on a quiet street. Nan is very welcoming without being obtrusive, her breakfasts are wonderful. Highly recommend this B&B.

We've stayed at Anniversary House multiple times, and it's our favorite stopover on a longer trip and our favorite base for sightseeing in southern Utah (Zion/Bryce). The hostess is welcoming (but respectful of privacy, of course) and is a great cook! The home is decorated beautifully. Amenities are comfortable. We'll continue to come to Anniversary House!

We stay at the Anniversary House every single year on our annual vacation. Nan is a very gracious hostess, making sure all of our needs are met. She always provides the very best in tips for local restaurants. The rooms at Anniversary House are always immaculate, the beds extremely comfortable. The craftsman decor is tastefully done and all the little amenities are included.

It was our first time to stay at a Bed & Breakfast & both my husband & I loved it and will definitely do it again. Nan was a great hostess. She made us very comfortable and we enjoyed talking with her. Our room was comfortable, clean & quiet. The food and service was great! Can't wait to go back.

Our stay was very pleasant. The innkeeper was exceptionally helpful and pleasant; she went way beyond the norm! The room was very nice but could have had more lamps/lighting. Everything was clean and well kept. A friend had told us the food was exceptional; we found it good but not exceptional.

Nan was very accomodating, and it was lovely to visit with her. Breakfast was delicious.

We had a wonderful visit for our first time in a bed and breakfast! The room was lovely and so was the yard. Nan made a tasty breakfast and was so fun to visit with. We felt right at home and will definately go back again.

The Spring Room is small, but lovely and comfortable. Coming from the heat of Las Vegas, it was wonderful to open the window at night and to sit out on the back deck in the fresh air. Nan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions. A very pleasant stay.

Took my Mother to Cedar city for the Utah Shakespear Festival to celebrate her 80th birthday. A huge part of our celebration was the delightful accomodations at the Anniversary House. Nan, is a gracious innkeeper and we felt like we had known her for years. The breakfast each morning was a feast! Nan also left a birthday card in my mother's room which was a very nice touch. The location is just one and a half block walk to the festival. Don't miss an opportunity to stay at this BnB!

We stayed four nights in a large, king bed room at the Anniversary House while attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival. The room and Inn are quiet, with a back deck in the garden and front porch to enjoy. There are larger rooms for more than two travelers. Breakfasts are excellent, and the always available coffee, tea, and chocolate cake are delicious. We plan to return.

I have been going to Cedar City for 26 years, and this is the first time I stayed in a B and B. It is located very close to the theaters, and the accomodations couldn't have been better. A great value!

The room was large and absolutely beautiful. Loved the walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious. Nan was warm and very helpful in recommending places for dinner. The back yard gazebo was a lovely place to relax in the evening. We were on our way home to Las Vegas from Yellowstone National Park, and this was a perfect way to end our vacation.

My wife and I stayed for part of our honeymoon at Nan's Anniversary House. This B&B is a great value, comfortable and inviting. The rooms have a nice craftsman feel, with vintage accents. The price is phenomenal for the value. It was well kept with tons of thoughtful touches. I am gluten intolerant and Nan went out of her way to prepare special dishes. Will return soon!

Staying with Nan is like staying with a best friend. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming and breakfast is amazing. If you are in town for the Utah Shakespeare Festival, her place is just a short walk away from the shows.

The summer room was very clean and was attractively decorated. Nan asked if we had any dietary restrictions. She made a delicious breakfast. Nan went the extra mile when I left my cell phone at the B & B. She priority mailed it to me in another state!

We were driving from Las Vegas to Zion National Park and used the GPS unit to find a place to stay in Cedar City. The Anniversary House was very welcoming and friendly and gave great tips and advice about the area. The room was beautiful, the bed incredibly comfortable, and everything conveniently located. Breakfasts were superb!

Our first stay with Nan! My husband LOVED the breakfasts...the coffee was great too. Our huge New England king bed was so very comfy after a day at the Shakespeare Festival. Hospitality was warm and genuine.

We stayed at the Anniversary House for two nights and had an absolutely superior experience. This B&B is clean, well appointed, and within easy walking distance to the various Festival theaters. The bed and food was excellent as were all of the other facilites. Nan, the inkeeeper is fantastic and has her place running like a clock ... add to that her knowledge of the surrounding area, and you get an "A number one experience." Beautifully restored craftsman bungalow with charm galore! Within easy walking distance to dining and Utah Shakespearean Festival. Highlight of our stay was the very personalized attention we received. A great B&B experience!

This was our second stay at the anniversary house and it was just as we had remembered! We really like staying here and stayed in the Oceanside room this time. Everything is very well kept and clean and feels like home. The breakfast is always wonderful and we love the pumpkin cream cheese roll she makes, yum! Best of all it's right across the street from Garden House which is great for dinner and it's close to our favorite camping/national park sites. Great value!

This is a lovely bed & breakfast establishment. We were driving from California to Minnesota in a Penske truck, towing a car, and we didn't know each night where we were going to stay. The hostess of Anniversary House took my phone call from the road and helped us find our way to her location in the dark. We had a good rest, and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing lodging.

We wanted a little getaway place while dropping our daughter off at Southern Utah University in August and didn't know what to expect after just seeing this inn online. We were delighted with Nan's truly perfect Inn!! From her yummy chocolate cake and breakfast, to an incredibly relaxing morning out on the deck, to immaculately clean rooms and wonderful beds....we are going back as soon as we can!! I have stayed in the Anniversary House on a number of occasions. Nan's breakfasts are great and so is the entire experience. Very close to everything I want to do in Cedar City (Main Street, Shakespeare, etc.).

We have stayed at The Anniversary House twice in the last year and we really enjoy it. Nan is such a gracious host and innkeeper that you feel as though you are at home. She was very accomodating to our vegetarian diet and served us such a wonderful breakfast both mornings. My fiance absolutely loves the featherbed eggs and I especially liked the streudel cake she serves along with breakfast. Nan even helped book surprise dinner reservations for us at The Garden House (also HIGHLY recommended.) Thank you Nan for another memorable trip. Caryn LV, NV

My wife and I, along with a group of friends, have have used this B&B as our base for summer adventure for several years. The house is always clean, the food is great, and the facilities allow us to entertain people travelling with us. The location is close to the theaters for the Shakespeare Festival, but also close to local activities - book stores, swimming, and restaurants. We often visit the nearby National Parks in the morning and attend theater in the afternoon and evening.

We weren't expecting much, but were surprised by how nice the accomodations were. Quiet, really comfortable beds, spotless. Great breakfast and terrific location with respect to the Shakespeare plays. We're really picky travellers, and this was just fine for a nice play to stay.

I am a repeat guest with Nan at The Anniversary House as the relaxed atmosphere is the ultimate enticement. Nan is a consummate innkeeper…attentive but not overbearing. If you are seeking something in Cedar City or the surrounding area, she knows exactly where to find it. All of the rooms are uniquely decorated with handcrafted wood furnishings in each. I LOVE the slate bathroom in the fall room. The meals she prepares, even with the restrictions the state places on the equipment, are tasty creations. Whether you choose to spend your time play hopping at the Utah Shakespearean Festival or rejoicing in the babbling of the quaint water feature in the back yard, The Anniversary House is the perfect sanctuary for any occasion. I couldn’t ask for more!

While visiting friends in the area, we stayed at The Anniversery House. We found our accommadations outstanding. We stayed in the Country Suite and was impressed with the room's features and attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent and filling. We were within walking distance of the university, where the Shakespeare Festival is held; and, we were able to walk to the downtown area and visit the shops. We had dinner across the street at another B&B and found the food excellent. We have added The Anniversary House to our list of places to stay when traveling and have told all our friends to visit when they are in the area.

We go there every year. The Innkeeper Nan makes you feel at home. The House is warm and inviting. The deck outside in the landscaped yard is awesome. We sit out there in the evenings...it's great. I would recommend this to everyone. We will continure to go back and stay at the anniversary house each year.

We were up to do some fishing and sight seeing. Nan knew a few hot spots and pointed us in the right direction even though her son would probably get her for telling us that!! The inn is very cozy and quiet. Breakfast was great and served when we got up.(as early as that was). All and all a great stay and relaxing weekend. This was our second stay at the Anniversary House in Cedar City, Utah. We book one room for ourselves and one room for my elderly mother, and we will continue to stay here every time we visit the Shakespeare Festival and Southern Utah University. The house is filled with antiques and beautiful accessories and is a shear delight to experience. The pricing, which includes a gourmet breakfast, makes for a unique value. Our hostess, Nan, is so accommodating. We can hardly wait for our next visit.

The anniversary house exceeded our expectations for our first bed and breakfast experience in every way possible. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the rooms were very clean and decorated with amazing antique furniture. And the breakfast was absolutely yummy!!! We were catered to with every detail and it was an experience that will not be missed. There is even a wonderful and reasonably priced restaurant called the garden house across the street with a great menu. You definately have to stay here!
