Welcome to our historic Inn, Restaurant, Reception Center and General Store. This quaint village is a unique collection of fully restored, upscale pioneer and Victorian homes surrounding a tranquil village green and swimming pool. All rooms are spacious with private baths. Many have jetted tubs and fireplaces. Gently nestled on the Historic Walk in old St. George and just across from the original Tabernacle and Town Square, the Green Gate Village is the perfect setting for your next romantic getaway, golf outing, day trip to the trails of Zion and other nearby National and State Parks, or for hosting that business retreat, family reunion, wedding, reception, or dinner party. Our guest rooms are located in several adjacent buildings, all carefully furnished with 19th-century themes and décor, plus all of the necessary modern conveniences such as telephones, air conditioning, and TVs etc. Several multi-room suites are available, some with kitchenette and all with microwave and mini-fridge. There are also a few private cottages. Many guests honeymoon at the Village or return each year for that special anniversary celebration. Others enjoy one of the elaborate stage productions at Tuacahn Amphitheater. Other guests are content to spend a quiet day relaxing by the pool or an evening by the fireplace. The Village is an easy stroll to the City & County offices, school district HQ, and court house as well as several charming restaurants, including Green Gate's own Bentley House and Judd's General Store. An attentive staff awaits your arrival.

    A Great Experience

    December 17, 2012

I stayed there a couple of times about a decade ago. I can't remember which rooms/houses we stayed in, but it was a great experience each time. Each unique house is beautiful and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the location is nice for taking walks in town.

    Beautiful First Nights in Utah

    September 27, 2011

Stayed in Tolley Cabin for 5 nights in September, 2011 at the start of a two-week trip northward through Utah, and we can only echo the positive comments made by others. Our cabin faced into Green Gate Village's meticulously maintained courtyard and overlooked the swimming pool. The entire property is warm & welcoming, with an extra room in the cabin for larger families to stay together if needed. It's just a short walk to the main house for Ed's sumptuous breakfasts - no need to stop for lunch with his eggs, French toast, waffles, meat, fresh fruit, juices and other goodies at the start of the day. Green Gate Village is centrally located in St George, across the street from the tabernacle and one of the best city parks we've ever seen, complete with its own water features and a carousel. It's easy to access the interstate for day trips to Zion & Bryce, and for a full-day trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Parking is plentiful & close to your room; it's a one block walk to the center of St George's downtown shopping and restaurant area. We were fortunate to get tickets to "Grease" at Tuacahn (spelling?) on the way to Snow Canyon State Park, and this outdoor venue should not be missed when you are in St George. Lindy can score you discount tickets during the season - it's well worth the evening's attention. In short, Green Gate village was one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in in the USA. if you are coming in either direction to/from Vegas and want to relax in comfort for a few nights, put this B&B on your short list.
