WE WELCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. The Villa Park House is one of the few B&B's in Spring Lake, NJ that welcomes families with children, making it a wonderful family friendly alternative to hotel lodging. We are conveniently located four-and-one-half blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and two miles of Jersey Shore boardwalk and sandy beaches. It's not just a getaway - It's an experience!

We were looking for a b and b in Spring Lake that would allow us to spend two of the three nights of the Memorial Day weekend. After many calls to other inns, Matthew was willing to accommodate us with the caveat that we book a room with a shared bath. No biggie but we booked months in advance and it looked like it would have been to our advantage to wait as many of the other guests also only spent part of the weekend there. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and enthusiastically by Matthew, who made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay. Our room was basic but included a mini fridge, a nice extra. There is parking behind the inn and also across the street. Breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious but better for a meat eater (I am vegetarian but still had plenty). We were very happy when Matthew was flexible to include my brother in an additional breakfast while he waited out the traffic from the Spring Lake Five Run. It is a reasonable walk to the beach (tags included) and to town. The inn is located very near the train tracks so you WILL hear trains. Also - it is kid friendly so make sure this is not a problem for you (you will hear the more "rambunctious" children). Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would consider returning.

the room was very nice however we found the bed to be too firm for our liking. It should be noted we like a very soft bed so this may not be a problem for many. The owner provided excellent service and is very welcoming. The cost was in line with expectation. Cleanliness was excellent. The breakfast was very hardy, enough to last until dinner.

We were attending a wedding locally and needed a room for the evening. Villa Park House was mentioned as one of the choices and we always will pick a B&B if available so we chose Villa Park House. Our host Matthew greeted me on check in and helped with our overnight bags to our spacious 2nd floor room with a huge king sized bed. Everything in the room was perfect and Matthew prepared a wonderful breakfast in the morning. All in all, so glad we made the choice to stay there.

Villa Park House more than met our needs. We came Saturday morning off season and stayed one night. Gorgeous home, excellent breakfast. Friendly and welcoming owner and fellow guests as well. We will be back!

From check in to to time leaving 3 days later Matt and his staff were part of our new family. There family was our new family for a short visit with his younger children also giving us a warm well come on our check in. Our room was clean and in the front of the house ( and I don't care what other people say about the train, I looked forward to watching it go by time and time again. i would stay up at night and also in the morning look forward to see the train go by again.. I would stand by the tracks to see that train night after night.) Drove my wife nuts because I would wait to see the train again and again. Matt is the best host ever of all the B and B that we have stayed at over the years. Also the breakfast is better that you will find any where around.
