Built in 1939 this nine-acre estate is now a five guestroom bed and breakfast that hosts weddings, family reunions, social events and outdoor concerts. Located one mile from Radford University and overlooking the historic New River the grounds and gardens of Nesselrod have been the backdrop of many outdoor weddings and festivals. Our most lavish and spacious room, the Lily of the Valley has a French country feel with a cherry four poster queen size bed. Lavishly soaking yourselves in the two person soaking tub or the large shower with nine showerheads is truly unforgettable. The suite also features delightful views of all three of our gardens from the comfortable nooks found at each window.

The Enchanted Garden Room provides luxury right out of a storybook creating both warmth and a touch of whimsy. The walls have been hand painted to depict the estates three gardens. The Lilac Room is a perfect combination of comfort and luxury. Named for the lilac hedge at our entrance this room overlooks the loggia terrace and is furnished with fine French fabrics and Italian marble flooring. This room features two twin beds with tempurpedic mattresses.

Traveling I-81 South: take first Radford exit – EXIT 109; turn right onto Tyler Ave and go approximately 5 miles, going past the Radford University Campus, to East Main St; turn left onto East Main St and go approximately 2 miles, getting in the right lane when the road widens; veer right onto the bridge, following signs for Rt. 11 South; after crossing the bridge, look for our sign on the right – it is the first right after the bridge. Traveling I-81 North: take the first Radford exit – EXIT 105; travel on West Main St for approximately 4 miles; getting in the middle of the three lanes when the road widens; turn left onto the bridge, following signs for Rt. 11 South; after crossing the bridge, look for our sign on the right – it is the first right after the bridge. From Blacksburg: take Prices Fork to the end; turn right onto Peppers Ferry Rd./Rt. 114; turn left onto Lee Highway/Rt. 11 North and stay in the left lane; go past all fast food chains, look for Goodwill on your left – our sign will be on the left after Goodwill; it is the last left turn you can make before you reach the bridge.
