This was a very nice place to stay in Homer. You stay in a separate building not attached to the house. It was clean and well kept up, the owner was very friendly on the phone and had everything set up when we arrived. We never met in person and it was hassle free. Do not expect a hot breakfast unless you make it yourself. They give you some milk, and have some hot and cold cereal. All the dishes you would need to cook what every you wanted. If you are going to stay in Homer, stay here.

We stayed the night of August 2nd, 2014 and we would have stayed longer if our schedule had allowed. It was beautiful, clean and spacious. The grounds were lovely and the view was spectacular. My 9 year old was thrilled with the selection of movies in the unit. We were even welcomed with fresh baked bread. This was definitely a rare find and we were so fortunate that it wasn't booked solid! Maria Clement

We have stayed Almost Home for the past several years on the night before our long range fishing trip. The rooms are always impeccably clean and the service is outstanding!!!! We will see you again next summer.

We enjoyed our stay in the 2nd story of this guesthouse, which included family room, two bedrooms and kitchen. It's in a great location with nice views of Ketchemak Bay. Lori suggested many nice activities for our day in Homer.

My son, grandson and I booked a visit to Homer, AK for a fishing trip with the owner of Almost Home (she booked not only the bed and breakfast but also the fishing boats for us). Mrs. Coats runs an outstanding operation. Her facility is exceptionally clean and furnished with all essentials for a pleasant and rewarding stay. I highly recommend Almost Home for your trip of a lifetime to Alaska. Dan Wood

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Laurie in the Eagles View unit. It was "almost like home" with all the necessities provided in a very clean and cozy environment. And the homemade goodies were scrumptious! Plus Laurie took care of all the arrangements for our fishing charters, which were wonderful. All in all we had a wonderful vacation...

Anchorage, AK (ANC) 211 miles
Stay on the highway until you reach McDonalds. Turn left at that street which is Lake Street. Take that to the stop signs then turn right on East Rd. You’ll travel about a mile and then you need to turn left on East Hill Rd. The road will wind around for about 2 miles up East Hill and you will turn right on Cottonwood Lane which is the last street before Skyline Dr. Stay to the left once you are on Cottonwood and we are the 2nd driveway on the left. You will see a cabin with triangle windows near the road with the main house behind it. You can park in front of the garage and go up the stone steps to the front door to check- in if we do not see you pull up.
