Kendall Tavern Inn is just far enough outside of Freeport that you don't hear the traffic and people on the street, but still an easy walk. The owners could not be more friendly and they send you off for the day with a magnificent breakfast featuring local ingredients. Our room was large and comfortable, although one of the shades allowed a little too much light through (only a problem if you want to sleep in).

Mark and Nancy provided a great homebase after a long road trip from the west. Their smiles, helpful tips, stories, and amazing food made me feel at home but treated like a princess. I will be going back.

Innkeepers Nancy and Mark provide exactly what a bed and breakfast should be - a warm and inviting place to kick off one's shoes and relax in a home away from home. The breakfasts were excellent. Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet B and B to spend a weeken shopping and relaxing in Freeport, and we certainly picked the right spot. Located just far enough from the Main St rush to be quiet and peaceful. Owners were fantastic hosts and made certain that we were looked after. 2 of the best meals I've ever had for breakfast each morning. We will certainly be back! It was our first weekend away from both kids at once sine our daughter was born in May of 2013.

I want to give outstanding on all the ratings but the software won't let me. My husband and I stayed at the Kendall Tavern Inn while I was at a regional meeting for the American College of Nurse-Midwives. The hosts couldn't have been more accomodating or congenial. The Inn is in beautiful shape with a TV lounge, books, movies, and a coffee/tea bar. The rooms are individually decorated with wireless internet. But the best were the innovative, delicious breakfasts. The Inn located just a 10 minute walk from downtown shops and has plenty of side parking. I'm looking for an excuse to go back to Freeport and stay at the Kendall.

Rooms: I can't speak for all the rooms, but ours was properly finished with a very nice and modern bathroom. It was homey. And free and fast guest wi-fi! Service: The people are fantastic. Warm, friendly, chatty, caring. Everything you expect at a B&B. Value: The quality breakfast makes this stay worthwhile. Cleanliness: No complaints. The house seemed very, very well maintained. Dining: You are not going to find better food at a B&B.

My husband and I stopped for one night in Freeport on our way from Boston to Bar Harbor, and we ended up wishing we'd been able to stay longer! Nancy and Mark, the owners of the Kendall Tavern Inn, are so welcoming and hospitable, and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The place is clean and well-kept, and the breakfast was delicious! We have nothing but positive things to say about this B&B, and would definitely recommend it!
