Historic Inn a great value in Freeport

4.0 on September 26, 2015

Jean and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Kendall Tavern Inn - from our greeting by Mark when we checked in to Linda's delicious departure-morning breakfast the next day. This is a very comfortable historic property that has been sensitively restored retaining historic beauty but with appreciated modern conveniences. Just a few blocks from the shopping center of Freeport, the inn is quiet and conveniently located.

Great Stay!

Everything was perfect and the best food we have ever had at a B & B.

Lovely B&B

We had a most wonderful stay at the Kendall Tavern B&B. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and the rooms are very charming. We can only recommend it.

A MUST stay in Freeport!

A wonderful getaway. Fantastic setting. GREAT sleep and over the top breakfasts. Hosts were wonderful.

Would definitely stay again!

The setting, gorgeous. The innkeepers, fantastic. The food, over the top. The location, perfect. Downside - window air conditioners which blew on us at night and kept us from sleeping. The bathroom - very cramped and outdated. But neither of these negatives will deter us from staying there again and again.

Lovely home-style bed and breakfast

I have stayed at Kendall Tavern for several years, and have always found the proprietors Mark and Nancy to be thoughtful and eager to provide excellent service.

Inn Keeper makes B&B so special

The inn is run by a couple so lovely and professional that my stay was made sure comfortable, personable and really special. If you are looking for A bed and A breakfast, stay in a regular hotel. The inn keeper Nancy and Mark makes the experience of staying B&B as a part of special trip. Mark has a great sense of humor, Nancy - formally a business woman anchor the inn. Her breakfast was superb as well.

Outstanding from the minute we arrived!

We were pleased as we drove up to the inn with the setting and beauty of this old home. Mark our host greeted us with his friendly hospitable manner making us feel welcome from the start. We loved his suggestions for restaurants, shopping and travel routes. Nancy our hostess prepared extraordinary breakfasts to begin each day. Our room was adequate and the entire home was spotless. The location made for an easy walk to the commercial part of town but it was far enough away for quiet and peaceful rest. We have stayed in many B&B's and this one was right up there!

Feels like home!

Innkeepers Nancy and Mark were great hosts during our stay at the Kendall Tavern Inn! Mark's humor kept us all laughing, and Nancy was OUTSTANDING in the kitchen with our breakfast preparations. The blueberry French toast bake was out of this world! It is an easy 8-10 minute walk to shopping downtown and LL Bean. They made excellent recommendations where to eat, where to go, etc. This stay was excellent and very comfortable. We will be staying in Freeport at the Kendall Tavern Inn again!

Friendly and Comfortable

Kendall Inn is in a peaceful part of town, but still within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Breakfast is superb. Breakfasts were chatty as the host made connections between the guests and encouraged talk about our days. Beds were comfy, rooms clean. Definitely would recommend to friends and family and will stay here again.
