    Heaven in a House

    February 20, 2013

This is my favorite place to stay in Winnsboro. The Farmhouse is so comfortable and spacious. The quaint setting is simply perfect and the hosts are so helpful and accomodating. The scenery cannot be duplicated, and we loved being able to roam about the property. I LOVE this place and can't wait to come back!

    Relaxing Country Stay

    July 05, 2012

I had the privilege of having an extended stay at "The Farmhouse" during a job transition period. Staying there was like my home away from home. Everything I needed was there-with a perfectly stocked kitchen, soft fluffy towels and sheets and satellite TV! I loved relaxinig in the evening on the front porch and enjoying the sounds of the country. Bonnie was a terrific host and was always attentive to my needs yet allowed me total privacy during my stay. This is a great Bed and Brakfast and I would recommend it to anyone.

Cozy Farm Retreat in Rural East Texas

    August 20, 2011

We loved The Farmhouse! This quaint cottage from bygone days has been updated with every convenience, while scrupulously preserving the integrity of the original home. The owner is an artist, whose eye for detail can be seen throughout the entire property. I was charmed by the little touches that enhance the beauty and comfort of the house. It is the perfect place to slow down and recharge when life gets too hectic. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with everything you need – with enough room at the old farmhouse table to entertain a few guests. The vintage dishes add to the old time atmosphere, and the second table on the sleeping porch seats two for a romantic dinner. The bedrooms feature beds that are antique style, but new so there is no squeaking to disturb a tired sleeper. The mattresses are excellent quality, with the superior bedding, topped with soft pillows and handmade vintage look quilts. The effect is so luxurious that you will want to bask in delicious sleep decadently late in the day! The windows are fitted with room darkening shades that can be rolled up to let the light in when you finally roll out of bed! The furnishings are antique with homey touches that will delight you. In the front room, the furnishings are comfy and beautiful - I enjoyed the reading corner which lends itself to quiet reflection. My husband and I sat there together every evening talking for awhile before retiring for the night. The house itself is solidly built and the structure is quiet. There is a lightly traveled road that runs in front of The Farmhouse. Very little traffic passes by, but when a car does drive past, the noise can be heard from inside the house so we used a fan to soften the sound. The owners are hospitable and always on hand to provide assistance. I really appreciated how much care they took for our comfort and enjoyment. We look forward to many more stays at The Farmhouse and feel like we have found a home away from home.

The Farmhouse at Hunter's Moon Farm Review

    June 20, 2011

We've stayed at the Farmhouse at Hunter's Moon Farm three or four times since we discovered it some 6 months ago. Each time we have been met with the same hospitality and enthusiasm. The farmhouse is a trip back in time, with items from Bonnie's (the owner) grandparents displayed and seasonal decorations. The beds are comfortable and the house is immaculate. Coffee, assorted drinks, cereal, breads, and fruit are always provided. If Bonnie is trying out a new recipe, that is likely to appear on the table. This is an extremely comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. We plan on returning many, many times! Highly recommend!
