This place was very cozy, clean, and charming! The owners were friendly, I loved the bikes, and breakfast was delicious! I would def. recommend this to anyone staying in that area. Just 15 min from Fredricksburg and close to many wineries it was a great location! I would love to stay here again!

A wonderful get away with all the comforts of home. Charming, clean and warm. Hosts are friendly and involved with your stay. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone needing a place in this area.

Comfortable bed, nice room and the patio area was very nice. So much better than a hotel. Next time I want to take advantage of the bikes.

We have stayed before and always love it. This trip was not a pleasure trip but we still enjoyed our stay at Amore. Lots of room and charm. Part of our family stayed with us and loved the place as much as we did.

Our recent weekend to the hill country was a pleasant experience thanks to The Italian Place. Our room, Bellissimo, was more than we expected. We arrive on Friday afternoon, helped ourselves to the room and headed to the winery. We returned that evening around 7 pm only to be greated by Amber Nanni. Soon after she delivered the special breakfast she prepared for our consumption the following morning. I must say the food was excellent. My only problem wiht the entire weekend was it ended too soon. Next time we might choose a differnt room. The shower and toilet area was a little small in Bellissimo and those stairs are brutal after a long visit to the wine tasting room. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for accommodations near the wineries.
Thank you so much for the breakfast compliment and we appreciate your comment about returning. Amore'(the big house) has two separate bath areas: one with large jacuzzi and the other with a shower only. 1000sf vs 450sf Come back soon!

For our first B&B experience The Italian Place set the bar high! It was such a relaxing environment with the great outdoor space. Our hosts were so friendly and excellent chefs! We got to eat at our leisure and the portions were incredible. So many different breakfast options from fruit to burritos to yogurt to quiche. Stonewall is the perfect location to wineries, Luckenbach and Fredericksburg. We were able to experience the hill country within a few minutes drive to all the local events. I highly recommend this little bed and breakfast for anyone, including dog owners! Our little pup got along great with the 2 poodles who live here. I hope to be back in the fall or winter to use the gorgeous fireplace in our room. Thank you very much for our weekend getaway :-)
For your first B&B we hope we spoiled you for all others! Thank you for choosing us!

My husband and I got to stay at the Italian place just overnight; however, I would've stayed there for DAYS if we had the opportunity to! We very rarely are able to take any time away from our busy work schedule of providing Wine Tours to the Texas Hill Country, so when the opportunity to get away for one day presented itself, we took advantage -Fast. Booking with the Italian Place was so easy. We stayed in the Bellissimo, and from the minute we walked in, we could not have felt more at home. As a service company, we know that "The Experience" is what keeps clients coming back again and again. The miniature bottle of Prosecco and absolutely huge fruit and cheese tray that greeted us were lovely and artfully arranged. All the furnishings we welcoming and cozy. We could literally feel our stress level from the workday, dissolving away. Amber popped up to introduce herself and welcome us just before we headed out to visit a local winery. She made sure we had everything we needed and let us know that our breakfast treats for the morning would be in the fridge when we returned. Everything was just as she said it would be and we could not have been happier. We would highly recommend the Italian Place for anyone who wants a romantic and comfortable get away for two, close to Fredericksburg. We hope to have a chance to stay again soon. Wow!! Thanks so much for the glowing review. We're so glad to have met you both. Come on by when you're in the area next time. :)

We spent two nights at The Italian Place for a quick getaway. Loved the room and breakfast. Highly recommend this place, the room and food were far superior to a comparitably priced hotel.
You forgot to mention no set time to have breakfast! ha ha

Our whole stay was so relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was always really good, our room was very so inviting, I haven't slept that well in a long time and it was a nice treat to walk out and see sheep next door each morning (don't worry, they are very quiet). Bill and Amber were wonderful. They suggested a few places for dinner, plus the "Welcome" book was really helpful. We hope to visit again.
Aww, we're glad you slept so restful....quiet country air. :) See you back soon!

Shariffah and Carmelo Canino. We love this place and already planned to return before the trip was over. We have recommended it to many friends already. All the reviews we read before we booked it were true.
Thank you my Italian friends! And also for the delicious Gnocchi. :)

We found a quaint, peaceful spot in Stonewall at The Italian Place. The hosts, Amber and Bill were wonderful and made us feel welcome. I especially appreciated the wonderful breakfast left for us in the fridge. It was great to get up, make coffee and have breakfast available when we wanted it. And it was delish!!
So glad you found us!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Amore. The unit is so spacious and beautiful! We also loved that it was pet friendly... it was great to have a good spot for our pooches. The breakfast was delicious and enough for breakfast and lunch too! Being located so close to several wineries was a definite plus and just a short drive to Fredericksburg. Amber and Bill are the best hosts! We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends!
We love furry friends and hope will bring them back to play with Sopie and Giovanni!

I cannot begin to describe this place other then giving the feel of a home away from home. It is simply adorable with curb appeal plus. The couple that run it, Amber and Bill.....are the BEST! We have come back as a result and I now consider them friends. The breakfasts Amber prepares are simply scrumptious (quiche, burritos, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee). And on our departure she made up the cutest little chocolate kiss choc covered cherry mice with almond slivers for ears! The grounds are well kept and the rooms are very clean. We have stayed in all three units at this point and recommend all three of them depending on your needs. I look forward to my next visit! Thank you Amber and Bill for once again making our stay fabulous! Cheers!
Each year we meet people who arrive as guests and leave as friends. We're so delighted you are.

Bill and Amber were excellent hosts who helped make my wife's birthday extra special. Their attention to detail as well as the super cleanliness of the room made our stay very memorable. The breakfasts were remarkable. My wife especially enjoyed the quishe. We will stay here again, and recommend it to anyone we know. Thank you mr. And mrs. Nanni.
You are so welcome!

This was a last minute reservation because we initially wanted to stay in the town of Fredericksburg. So glad we ended up in Stonewall instead. We LOVED this B&B and plan to go next year when we pick up our son from camp. Never get rid of the treehouse - my boy loved it!
Hoping to get the tree house renovated in November :)

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay near Luckenbach so we wouldn't have to deal with a long drive after the day. Our room was small and private and just perfect for a quiet night. My wife was worried about this place being so out of the way, but by the end of the trip she was already talking about coming back.

Loved everything about our stay! Only wished for a shower instead of tub.
We would love a shower in Buona Sera too! We just haven't figured out how to do it yet. So, you'll just have to stay in one of our other two units that have the shower: Bellissimo or Amore' :)

My wife and I stayed here to experience the 290 Wine Trail. This was a perfect location to visit a number of wineries. The place itself was extremely charming and very comfortable. I love the fact that breakfast was in the fridge in our room the night before so in the morning my wife and I could take our time and enjoy breakfast in bed with coffee. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a great stay.
You are so welcome!

My husband and I live in Corpus Christi, and chose the hill country as a getaway for our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to stay at "The Italian Place." It was a little less than we expected as far as having a view outside the "Amore" room we selected, and as it is in a very, very little town, there was not much to do unless we drove into Fredericksburg, Nevertheless, the B&B itself had a charming décor, very quiet, and we spent a comfortable two-night stay. The owners, " Bill and Amber Nanni, are an extremely nice couple. The breakfast on both mornings was absolutely very fresh, "delicious" and tastefully served. We enjoyed our stay, but since we were there on a Monday and Tuesday there were no events like there might be on a particular weekend. We would recommend "The Italian Place" if you are seeking peace and quiet, and in this hurry-up and fast-moving world, there is nothing wrong with that!

Bill & Amber have a wonderful B&B tucked away in the Hill Country. We stayed in the Bellissimo and it was great. The area was spacious enough for us to enjoy and having the kitchen was nice. We were pleasantly surprised each evening when we return to the room with breakfast already prepared and waiting in the fridge. The views are nice and the area is quiet. A quick visit with Bill helped us understand how passionate they are about their B&B. We are ready to return!

From the moment my husband and I arrived at this bed and breakfast, it was peaceful and relaxing experience. We were pleasantly welcomed by Amber who showed us our cottage and lounge area . Amber was sweet and welcoming. After chatting with Amber and then a long day of shopping and catching a movie, my husband and I went back to the cottage to find a vast assortment of breakfast food ready for us in the morning. I can't say enough about this place!! If you're thinking about staying in Fredricksburg check this place out!! Awesome service, very clean cottage, and an overall impressive first time bed and breakfast experience for us. thank you Amber and Bill!!!
5 on May 29, 2014
When we arrived, we were able to walk right into our room, there was a small bottle of sparkling wine and chilled glasses waiting in the fridge, we met the resident cats, lounged on the patio, took a soak in the large tub, and just relaxed. The breakfast wraps, muffins and other breakfast items were plentiful and tasty. The Amore room is a small one bedroom house with TWO bathrooms, full kitchen and living room. Very comfortable.
5 on May 20, 2014
The Italian Place is a cozy, quiet retreat equipped with all the amenities needed for a peaceful getaway. The breakfasts were just fabulous. There was enough food to last until dinner!
4.4 on May 14, 2014
We really enjoyed our stay at The Italian Place. We were truly grateful to find a place to stay for just one night. Since we don't have any family nearby that our kids can stay with, we didn't feel like we were imposing on our friends for having them stay just one night.
4.6 on April 26, 2014
Overall, we loved the Bellissimo loft and consider the room and food service exceptional value for our money. The Nanni's are wonderful hosts. So the following comments are in that context. The bathroom is small, but one can shower while the other is at the sink. The dishes were cleaned each day but the bed was unmade. We knew this in advance, so not a problem to us.
5 on April 24, 2014
I wish I had had a place like the Italian Place to live in while I was in college. We stayed in the "Belissimo" garage apartment. It was charming, cozy, private, perfect in every way for a weekend getaway. Amber left breakfast in the fridge the night before, so we didn't have to leap out of bed to dress and go to eat. We slept ... oh how well we slept! Great bed, quiet and peaceful. I loved the little chocolate mice she left our last night, and oh! I forgot the small split of Prosecco the night we arrived. My husband proposed to me in Venice, in a gondola under the Rialto Bridge, so Italy has an important part in our lives. The Italian Place brought back so many fond memories. A short drive to Fredericksburg, and even shorter drive to the LBJ Ranch. We'll be back!

Love this place! We were there for our Anniversary and had never stayed at a B&B this nice. The location was perfect for our trip to the wineries. We had a beautiful stay at this quiet, tucked away little gem! The cottage was extraordinarily clean and equipped with anything we might possibly need. The grounds around the B&B were also very beautiful and nicely landscaped. Amber was very sweet in making sure to give me several vegetarian options for breakfast and everything she provided was yummy! We would return and recommend The Italian Place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Highly recommend The Italian Place - an adorable Bed and Breakfast located just a few miles from Fredericksburg and Johnson City. We stayed in the Buona Sera – it had all the comfort of a 5 star hotel! Very quiet surroundings – loved having access to the bicycles and taking a ride around the neighborhood and to the river! Breakfast items were scrumptious! The owners, Bill and Amber were delightful. The “chocolate mice” were a nice touch!

My wife and I decided to stay here on the last night of our honeymoon while traveling through the hill country. Needless to say, this was a great way to wrap up our trip - our accommodations were perfect and Bill & Amber were incredibly hospitable. There's nothing like great company and wine while sitting next to a nice cozy fire in the evening. This definitely will not be our only time at the Italian Place - looking forward to the next time!

The Italian Place was a beautiful, quiet, peaceful, romantic and very clean place to stay for our anniversary. My only regret was that we only had one night to get away from everything. I would have loved to have stayed several days and really explored the area. It was just perfect! We will be back. The price was extremely reasonable and the breakfast was amazing! Thank you for making our stay special.

The place is very unusual in that it is so small and really intimate. We only stayed one night and did not have a chance to partake of all that is offered. The one thing I really liked was the breakfast in the fridge. There was a bowl of yogurt fruit and granola, an excellent quiche other fruit and drinks and muffins all to be put together when we felt like it and in anything we felt or did not feel like wearing. Our room was in a separate building on site and felt very private. Hosts are welcoming and solicitous of our needs.

This was a fantastic getaway, from the very start at our arrival we loved the lighted entrance and adorable signs directing us to our room. The room itself shouted romantic from the clean fireplace, the huge Jacuzzi, the wood floors and the granite kitchen counter top. We loved being able to see the stars at night in the romantic outdoor patio and we enjoyed the silence that only a country B&B can offer. We will be sure to return on our next wine tour.
5 on January 26, 2014
Lovely B & B; just as we hoped it would be...owners on sight took excellent care of us, tending to our needs. Even a delicious, and I do mean delicious, gluten free breakfast. Bill and Amber gave us so much helpful information about local shopping, eating out and events. Looking forward to another restful stay at this home away from home. :-)

5 on January 01, 2014
We had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again and will encourage anyone we know to stay here. The rooms were wonderful and cozy. We really enjoyed the breakfast placed in our room refrigerator the night before, so we could eat on our own schedule. The "chocolate mice" were a "small win," using Disney Institute parlance, but made a huge impression. What a great place to stay!
5 on January 01, 2014
Comfortable and relaxing, everything you need all-in-one package. Great value for all the amenities including a warm cozy fireplace and the ultimate massage whirlpool bath. My honey slept great on the firm mattress. The fresh fruit with breakfast was amazing and satisfying to start our day. We got just the relaxation and rest we need it for our vacation.

Wonderful, quiet location. Would return and highly recommend!
5 on November 19, 2013
Although we had but one night to spend at The Italian Place, Amber & Bill made it wonderful, from accommodating us with an early check in, to getting the fire pit set up for us, to spending a little time visiting and telling us about how they got into the B&B business. The room was wonderful! Charming, clean, modern and with just enough touches of the Old World. The bottle of Prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was so welcoming and the delicious (and ample) breakfast and adorable chocolate mice upon leaving were all perfect. I'm only sorry we didn't know how wonderful Belissima would be, so we could have planned to stay there during our entire vacation. Now we know for next time!

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted when we arrived and made to feel at home and comfortable. We used the bikes to ride along the river and breakfast was placed in our room daily. The B&B is actually closer to most of the wineries than B&B's in Fredricksburg. F-burg is about a 15 minute drive up the road. I keep things short and sweet but we had a great experience and highly recommend staying here to couples looking for a quiet weekend full of wine tasting and country living. BA

My husband and I decided to have a mini vacation here and we loved it so much we plan on coming back. I was really happy that our dogs (german shepherd and a min pin) were allowed, so we didn't have to worry about spending money on a kennel for them. They also have a nice size kennel in the back for them to play when you go out in town. The kennel also has an inside area where the dogs can go for shelter. The room we stayed in was the belisimo, the room is nicely decorated and is very homey. It was also very clean. The breakfast delicious and filling, you do have to go in town for dinner though. Depending on the days you stayed some places may be closed or close early. We meant to go wine tasting, but rode bikes and slept in lol. Make sure you pay attention to the wineries hours and days that they are closed. We did get to taste some wine from fiesta wineries thanks to Amber. All in all we had a great stay here and hope too come back again.
Thanks for your kindness and the review! We hope to see you back soon. :)

We did enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable and jetted tub was great. The mosquitos were really bad unfortunately and we were just unable to use the outdoor area's. The person staying in loft above us woke me up both mornings by dragging something across the floor. We were provided plenty of towels but only two wash cloths for the 2 day's we were there. We were told if we needed something we could come ask. Breakfast was always dropped off while we were out to dinner so we never saw host.
Sorry about the giant mosquitos! Had much needed rain and I'm afraid it was a 5 day window of those little critters! Unfortunate that we didn't get to bump into you, but we know it's not our time, but yours.:)

The only negative I can think of is that I wasn't able to stay any longer. I only got the chance to have a great sleep and eat breakfast the next morning... then I had to leave. But then again, it is called a bed and breakfast after all. What little time I was there was extremely enjoyable.

We arrived at The Italian Place after driving nearly 12 hours. We were greeted by Amber's bright and smiling "Welcome". We stayed in Bellissimo and it was that and more. My husband and I slept like babies and woke to a wonderful homecooked breakfast to be eaten at our leisure. I can't say enough about this B&B. We had great conversations with the our hosts, sharing stories and experiences. They provided us with great information about local wineries, restaurants and local history. If you have never stayed at a B&B I hope this will be your first because the experience will last a life time.

We just completed our second stay at The Italian Place and while we were very pleased on our first visit, this visit raised the bar. There are 3 things you'll remember about your visit. 1, Your hosts Amber and Bill Nanni pay great attention to making sure you have a great stay. It's worth the time to arrange meeting them on their patio for great conversation.. 2, The quiet relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Fredericksburg yet only 15 minutes away. 3, The breakfasts that Amber provides. When we venture to the Fredericksburg area for a get away, The Italian Place will always be our choice. Bill Burris

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bellissimo room. The room was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We were impressed by all of the amenities provided (food, linens, robes, dishes, movies, and many more). The location was great for exploring the surrounding wine country, close to several wineries and Fredericksburg. Breakfast was fantastic and very filling. We had breakfast tacos, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, muffins, milk, juice, coffee and mimosas; all delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed eating breakfast at our leisure (they leave the food in the room’s fridge the night before) outside on the patio, while enjoying the company of the friendly cats. Check in was very easy, and registration and the subsequent communications (including directions) were friendly and informative. The only downside was the bathroom was small, and a little cramped for a tall person. Overall a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.
We agree with you that the bathrooms are small. It's unfortunate that when the previous owner built it, he didn't make more room. Our consolation is that most guests don't spend much time there and appreciate the space in the bedroom. :)

This place was the best place to stay in our annual family trip! As soon as we entered the room, we felt like a home. The owner Amber is very sweet person and gave us all information that we need to visit around the area! Also, breakfast was AMAZING !! My two kids ( 13, 11 ) and I enjoyed it!! I will highly recommend this place to all, of cause We will visit again :)

The Italian place is the only b&b we could find that would allow us to stay for one night! Even though we had to leave super early the next morning, Amber still made us feel at home. She prepared the best breakfast tacos and an array of fruits and muffins! Our room was absolutely adorable and loved the jacuzzi tub! Even though it was one night, I felt like I was on vacation. Such a great couple and love their dogs! Definitely stay here if you are planning a trip near Fredericksburg!

I found the Italian place after reading stellar online reviews and we are so glad we did. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Italian Place our room was the Bellissimo. The details in the decor were in theme and the atmosphere was very relaxing, truly Bellissimo! They had seating areas that made you forget you were in a residential neighborhood. The room was clean, the accomodations comfortable and the breakfast was delicious restaurant quality and plentiful. Amber accomodaed our request and made our quiche vegetarian. We are so glad we decided to stay here and are looking forward to returning soon. Be sure to read the guest book in the room. We found great tips on nearby places to visit and eat. It was conveniently located and only a short aprox 10 min drive to Fredericksburg. The Innkeepers are very hospitable and put a lot of TLC and detail in their B&B. There were also bikes to ride and cats to pet. My children loved the friendly cat they referred to as half-stash. It was like staying at a friends place. Another reviewer said that as you initially enter the property you have reservations but to not let that discourage you. They were right, once you settle in, it is just so sweet. Thank you Amber and Bill!

We had a very relaxing, cozy stay at The Italian Place, and particularly enjoyed listening to the rain on the metal roof. Wow! That was an unexpected and welcome surprise! Amber & Bill were great hosts, and the entire weekend was beyond our expectations. It was exactly what we both needed to unwind and decompress. We'll definitely check for an opening here first on out next trip to the Fredericksburg area!

The Italian Place is a cute b&b and a perfect place to stay for a weekend get-away in Texas Hill Country. The hosts, Bill and Amber, are very friendly and hospitable. We stayed in the Bellisimo loft, which had a little kitchen. You can choose to forgo their breakfast and bring your own. The backyard has several chairs and benches to sit on, which are perfect for looking up at the stars at night. You are very close to a number of the wineries and not far from Fredericksburg. There are 2 bikes that you can rent (for free) and go for a ride by the river or even go as far as LBJ state park. A great place to stay. We'll definitely be back!

Amber and Bill are great hosts. We really enjoyed our one night stay. We will come back when we can stay two nights and see the sights in Fredricksburg more. It stormed while we were there which put a damper on the visit, especially with the hail damage to our vehicle, but that's what insurance is for. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious and the candles and jacuzzi were delightful. Thank you.

Truly a place you want to stay for comfort, peace and delicious breakfast. Just around the corner is Hwy 1 that takes you through LBJ State Park and within a few minutes of Fredericksburg shopping and dining. The First Friday Art Walk was fabulous especially this time of year (May), and the galleries personnel were so friendly and personable. Loved meeting and speaking with the artists about their creations and the stories that inspired them....just as The Italian Place inspired us to be sure and return again for another visit. Sweet people that truly care about your comfort and welcome you with open arms.

This charming B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood in Stonewall, TX, just a short drive from Fredericksburg. This B&B allowed me to make a reservation for one night where most B&Bs in the Fredericksburg area, hotels included, require a minimum of a two night stay on weekends. I highly recommend taking advantage of the two bicycles they offer for a leisurely and picturesque ride down RR 1 along the Pedernales River to LBJ State Park. Be sure to enjoy some wine under the stars. If you have the opportunity, drive into Fredericksburg for an authentic German meal, but definitely take advantage of Amber's breakfast! The location of the B&B makes access to all of the wineries along 290 very easy. I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend in the Hill Country.

I'm not much for reviews, but this was worth it. We had a great time. Our only regret was the same as everyone else: we didn't stay longer! The area is beautiful and peaceful, the wineries were wonderful and DO NOT MISS Garrison Bros. Distillery down the road. The room itself was impeccable, the patio was relaxing and the area was very quiet. Overall had an excellent time and would recommend to anyone.

Passing through area and only needed room for one night. Nice to find B&B that didn't require 2 night minimum. Felt like we were staying with good friends and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed one night at the Italian Place for our anniversary weekend. The room was beautiful and clean. Amber made us feel welcomed as soon as we got there. The breakfast was great. We are definitely going back, great getaway!

My husband and I went to The Italian Place for a get away. Once we got there, we loved it so much, we decided to stay another night. The place is cozy and clean and the owners were so sweet! There are a lot of places to hang out outside. I loved that it was a dog friendly place. It is very close to the wineries. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to relax.

We had a wonderful experience at The Italian Place. We booked at The Italian Place because it was the ONLY B&B in the Hill Country that allows you to book for a single night. Next time, we will stay for at least 2 nights!!! Andrea

Our stay at Italian Place was wonderful. The room was lovely, quiet and restful. The breakfast was plentiful (more than we could eat) and very good. Amber was very helpful with tips on some site to see and information about the area before we arrived. It was also easy to find. I would recommend this B & B to anyone who likes to stay at B & B's or for a first time stay, but you would be spoiled then.

This B&B was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway to the Hill Country. You could tell that the owners really cared about the details. The room was beautiful decorated, with Christmas carols playing as we arrived (we went in December). The location was perfect to check out our favorite local wineries and visit the local dance hall in Albert, TX. The breakfast was placed in our room when we were out for dinner the evening before, and man was it delicious! There is a nice outdoor common area to relax as well. All in all a fabulous place! We can't wait to return.

The Italian Place transfomed us into a different place. It is perfectly placed amongst the Hill Country area to get to anything you want to do within a reasonable drive & extremely close to Frederickburg but not too close. The owners were pleasant & available but graciously transparent. We truly felt we had the place to ourselves which was amazing! Not that we didn't enjoy our hosts, they were great & made us feel very comfortable. The food was excellent & we love that it is in the fridge the night before because we had parts of it for a snack or even dinner when we didn't want to get out. The bikes are a nice touch & it was lovely to get up & enjoy a morning ride to see more of the countryside. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to actually just spend time on the lovely patio & just hang out. We have already recommended the Italian Place to some of our best friends who we know will love it. When we are in the area again we will definitely stay again.

The Buona Sera cottage was perfect for our anniversary! Great price and great location. We loved winery hopping all day, dining in Fredericksburg, and then coming back to relax with the jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and champagne they provide. Amber's breakfasts are phenomenal. My husband couldn't wait to get back at the end of the day to see what she left for us in the fridge. The place is immaculately clean, well decorated, and very private. We would definitely go back here and highly recommend it! Thanks Amber and Bill!

We stayed for a night after our wedding, and the room was beautiful. The owners go to great lengths to make sure everything you need, you have. They even chilled outside with us at night by the fire pit and made us dinner:) Would highly recommend. The ONLY drawback was that there is a lot of barking dogs at night (my biggest pet peeve).
5 on October 17, 2012
I truly enjoyed our annual stay at The italian Place. We now consider it coming to visit our friends, Bill and Amber. We look forward to it every year! They make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Amber continues to make yummy breakfasts and always has a snack for us waiting in the room. The entire B&B is charming and secluded. Not far from all of the wineries and just a few miles to down town Fredericksburg to make it a great location for anyone to enjoy. Thank you Amber and Bill for making our stay the best! See you soon!

We loved The Italian Place! The room was cozy and had everything we needed. The owners were outstanding. The property was beautiful. It is minutes from the LBJ Ranch, where our friend's event was held and about 15 minutes dirve to Fredericksburg. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, you need to check this place out.

I couldn't give this place higher marks. Everything was great down to our requested vegetarian breakfasts, and the room rate was incredibly reasonable. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Attention to fine detail would describe this B&B. The experience was fantastic! The owners of this beautiful B&B truly know how to ensure that your stay is the very best it can be. The grounds are beautiful. The dwelling is extremely welcoming, clean, and comforting. The breakfast is healthy, abundant, and most delicious. The welcoming chocolate mice set in a dainty dish were amazingly cute and tasty. The greeting committee consisted of two very sweet felines (which we adored). In addition to all of those things, the owners knew that we were there to celebrate a 20th wedding anniversary, as well as a 50th birthday celebration. Because of that, Amber was considerate enough to have a bottle of chilled champaign waiting for our anniversay, as well as some very uniquely gorgeous flowers for the birthday celebration! Lastly, she also knew we were interested in taking a bicycle ride through the gorgeous scenery down Ranch Rd 1...the bicycles were already waiting for us upon arrival. Her personal touches truly made our experience one that will not be forgotten...So much so that we did not want to leave! I would highly recommend The Italian Place to one and all. Thank you, Amber and Bill Nanni for everything! (MKVH)

We just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at The Italian Inn. We can't say enough good things about our stay, our hosts, the breakfasts or their attntion to details. The patio is so inviting we spend a lot of our evenings setting there enjoying our favorite wines and spending time the our hosts. It's a location we will return to often when we think of a few days in the Fredericksburg area. We will definaely recommend The Italian Place to our friends and family. Bill and Marcie Burris 6/22/12

The Italian Place is in a class by itself. It is tucked away just off the main hwy in Stonewall, Texas (halfway between Johnson City and Fredericksburg). The location is perfect for a day spent in the Texas wine country or a day shopping and site seeing. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and charming. The delicious breakfast is placed in your refrigerator the night before so as so you can enjoy it on your time. Each room has its own kitchen with all the amenities do you can cook in if you like and enjoy your meal on their beautiful patio. The Italian Inn is a must see (and stay)! We will be back!! -Austin, Tx

At first arrival, the stairs were a surprise. My wife had hip replacement surgery and we did not know there were stairs. After the initial shock, my wife was able to negotiate the stairs and when she saw the room, she said "Beautiful. I would think as this for a honeymoon place". Our honeymoon was 47 years ago. Everything was great. We brought our 5 month old Sheltie and she enjoyed the stay. They are very pet friendly. When "Mandy" our dog first went into the room she saw the pet bed and a milk bone. She went over and got the milk bone and showed it to us. There is not anything we did not like about our stay. We were there Saturday, June 9, 2012. Bill and Amber were great hosts.

We were going to be in Fredericksburg overnight, and it was my husband's birthday. As a gift to him, I decided to book a bed and breakfast for our overnight stay. By complete chance, we met Amber Nanni, and found out about her place in Stonewall. What a pleasant surprise! The Italian Place is just a few minutes away from Fredericksburg, seated among the beautiful and tranquil ranch lands around the Pedernales River. We enjoyed a gorgeous room with a tasty breakfast already prepared and in our fridge - complete with quiche, fruit, yogurt, and mimosas - on the beautiful outdoor patio. But our most memorable event of the weekend was the bicycle ride we were able to take on the country roads when we awoke in the morning. Thanks, Bill and Amber, for a great stay!

This is by far my favorite B&B spot!! If you enjoy friendly service, thoughtful touches, a gorgeous patio vista, a casual bike ride down to the river, and even some bocce, then you have to try The Italian Place. I can't wait to go again soon!
5 on May 21, 2012
We paid about the same amount to stay here as any ordinary hotel, but experienced 100 times better bang for your buck. The rooms were super cute and the staff super friendly. Upon check in waited two glasses of champaign and a chocolate covered cherry in the shape of a mouse. It was very private, didn't bump into a soul on our short stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone who would need to stay in the area.
5 on May 21, 2012
Price was great; food was great; location perfect for our plans. The first thing I noticed and commented on is how quiet it was! Our neighborhood is so noisy: cars with loud engines and loud music, neighbors playing loud music, neighbors who can't seem to exit their vehicles or their house without slamming doors! It was so great to get away from it all and escape to such a pleasant, quiet place. We WILL be back!

We stayed for one night at the Italian Place. We took advantage of the cruiser bikes to explore the neighborhood a bit. The room was comfortably and tastefully furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the whirlpool tub. We also enjoyed a complimentary bottle of champagne out on the patio. Breakfast was placed in our refrigerator the night before, and we enjoyed maple sausage quiche, yogurt with fresh blueberries, delicious pumpkin muffins and fresh coffee. Our little cottage offered the perfect amount of privacy, and Amber was very helpful. All in all, a fantastic place that I highly recommend!

We received a 2-night stay at The Italian Place from my parents as a Christmas gift. (Excellent gift idea for newlyweds!) It was a much-needed escape from the day-to-day and we can't wait to go back. The room was spotless and wonderfully decorated. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING!! The hospitality was typically Texan with a splash of Italian... warm and welcoming with a healthy dose of enthusiasm. We don't have enough good things to say. It's a little slice of heaven. :)

Owners Amber and Bill Nanni have created a warm and cozy gem in the heart of Stonewall, Texas, a "stone's throw" from the quaint town of Fredricksburg. Between Amber's delicious breakfasts, the jacuzzi tub in the Buona Sera Suite and the bicycle cruisers - my husband and I could not have asked for anything more! A wonderful, well-priced getaway that re-charged our spirits!!! We will definitely visit The Italian Place again.

The Italian Place is ideally situated to explore this section of the Hill Country. Stonewall is central to U.S. 290 - East or West. Location coupled with the amenities provided by Bill and Amber resulted in a most pleasant stay. Our stay was enhanced by the non-intrusive, but genuine interest in our comfort. Amber’s solution to breakfast provides tasty and “at your pace” convenience. The outside patio area and grounds are maintained in an excellent condition. We’ll go again! F&S

My wife and I stayed here last year for our anniversary. It was better than we had expected a B&B to be. We were so impressed, we decided to come back this spring and bring some friends to stay in the other villa. The facilities are perfect. We grilled on the patio both nights for dinner. It is so close to the large wineries. WE'LL BE BACK AGAIN!

My husband and I chose the Buona Sera for our anniversary getaway and "get away" we did. The Italian Place was quiet, romantic and just right for the two of us. It was also in the perfect location to visit Fredericksburg, a few wineries, the nearby LBJ Ranch and Johnson City. We brought our own food and desserts for dinner and sat and ate by the beautiful fireplace in our room. The proprietors, Amber and Bill, were the perfect hosts, greeting us upon our arrival, but also keen enough to give us our space. I highly recommend The Italian Place!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at The Italian Place. The accommodations were exceptional. The patio and bikes were wonderful amenities. The proximity to the wineries was wonderful. We had a wonderful time at the Italian Place. I read all the reviews online and decided that is where we were going to spend our anniversary. Amber was so nice emailing me before we arrived. The room was very neat, and clean which was important to me. The room decor, with fireplace and jazzuci tub was very inviting. The breakfast was delicious!! I loved having it in our frig the night before so we could eat on our time! Amber and Bill really thought of everything we could have questions about in their let the fun begin guide. It told us places to eat, wineries to visit. We took their advice and had a really great time. I would recommend this B&B to anyone heading to Fredricksburg, TX. We will be visiting again!! Thank you Amber and Bill for an amazing Anniversary! We know now why you have a 5 star rating!

We simply fell in love. My husband and I came out to celebrate our 15th anniversary at where we now refer to as our little Italy. My husband is part Italian so the room, patio and personal touches really made him feel at home. Our one night stay was not enough. The location is perfect with being so close to Fredericksburg for shopping or visiting winerys. The room was perfect for a romantic stay with all of it's special touches, champagne in the frig, an amazing breakfast ready when we were ready to eat and the kindness of one of the lovely owners, Amber. We could not believe we got all this at such a nominal fee. Truly the owners love what they do and it shows. We are already talking about re-visiting in the Spring to see the beauty of it, all over again.

The Italian Place bed & breakfast exceeded any expectations we had prior to our visit. Our host Bill and hostess Amber were genuinely friendly and very helpful. The accommodations were simple, clean, and very private. Amber’s breakfasts could rival breakfast at the most elegant hotels. The location in Stonewall worked out great for wine tasting. Most of the wineries we visited were located between Stonewall and Fredericksburg. We enjoyed sleeping in, eating a great breakfast, and then beginning our tasting journey from this ideal location. We always ended up in Fredericksburg and never realized we had even driven the short 14 mile distance. We’ll be going back to The Italian Place.

We had the most wonderful time at the Italian Place. Very much a Tuscan atmosphere.....Bill and Amber gave us lots of tips on where to visit and where to eat and were the best hosts!! Even better was spending time with Luigi and Bunny, the cats, and with Giovanni and Sophia, the poodles. Breakfast on Sunday was delicious and I really loved the chocolate "mice".....so creative. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Texas Hill Country......so much to see and do.

The feeling of coming to Stonewall to visit friends is just a bonus for us for the last three years we come to stay at The Italian Place. Amber and Bill are just wonderful. This was a perfect weekend get away. The B & B was in a perfect area outside of town, yet still close enough to go where we wanted. We would definitely go back for our next visit to Fredricksburg.

We were here for our first anniversary and we fell in love with this place. The room we stayed was a small, but cozy, charming and well decorated. They had a beautiful patio and back yard for guests use that made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious and well arranged. Amber and Bill's hospitality topped it all off. Amber even helped me catch up with cycling when I struggled initially with it :) All in all, the best stay we could have ever asked for for our anniversary trip.

What a fabulous stay we had at The Italian Place. Our two nights in the Bellissimo were fantastic. Our hosts, Bill and Amber, made our stay truly memorable and we could not have asked for anything better. Both mornings we had a great breakfast waiting for us. And we really liked that we could enjoy our meal on our own time! The room was clean and better than any five-star hotels we have stayed at. We are already planning a trip back during the winter so we can see Fredericksberg during the holidays. The Italian Place is a short 20 minute drive to F'Berg so it was ideal. Quiet, charming, peaceful. Oh, and we even picked peaches from the trees in the backyard and enjoyed them with our already-awesome meals!!! Can't wait for our next visit there...

I spent two nights in the Buona Sera earlier this year (end of January/beginning of February). This place far exceeded my expectations! I only wish that I could have stayed longer. Amber and Bill were very friendly and I enjoyed meeting and talking with both of them. They have a lovely place and it is located in a very nice and quiet area of Stonewall. It is a few streets off the main road but it is still located near a lot of wineries and tourist activities. It is only a short drive to Fredericksburg too. The Buona Sera was very comfortable and had all the amenities that I needed and more. I really enjoyed the fire place and the nice large tub in the bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious! I really enjoyed being able to wake up at my own leisure to eat breakfast in my room. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this place. This has been one of my favorite places that I have stayed during any of my travels. Amber and Bill have done an amazing job and I hope to stay again with them someday. Thanks again for such an amazing stay. Best Wishes, Lea Papillion, NE

My wife and I recently stayed at The Italian Place in Stonewall, TX for our anniversary. We enjoyed our stay, and Bill and Amber were very accommodating to our needs. The breakfast burritos were amazing, and the patio was one of our most frequented areas. However, I was surprising my wife with the stay, and was a little disappointed with the surrounding neighborhood when we were nearing the B&B. The Italian Place is definitely a nice place to stay, but if you're surprising someone, wait until you've pulled into the gate to remove the blindfold. Once you're in, you'll love it. All I had seen of the location was the beautiful pictures, and before I pulled in the gate, I was pretty upset. We ended up having a great time, and would recommend anyone visiting the Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, TX area to give this place a try.

I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs, and this is one of the best! I stayed in Buona Sera, the smaller of the two rooms – perfect for just me but would have been great for my husband and me as well. The room was spotless and the bed was soft. The wi-fi was fast enough for easy chat, e-mail, websurfing, and Hulu. The satellite TV (with DVD player) was a good size and easily viewed from the bed, with a selection of fun DVDs as well. The sitting area was just big enough to set up my laptop for writing, and the chairs were comfortable (no arm rests, but I prefer that). The jacuzzi was VERY clean and easy to use. There is no shower, but there is a hand-held shower head on the jacuzzi tub. I did not use the shower head - when I needed to wash my hair I just ducked my head under the faucet. The bathroom is small, but you can't beat the amenities at the price they charge - especially on a week night. The kitchenette is right inside the door, and it's just right with the small microwave, fridge, and LARGE sink. My dirty dishes magically disappeared each day, even though I had planned to wash them. I can’t say enough good things about the breakfast. The first day breakfast was a very good spinach, mushroom, and green chili quiche, the second was BIG breakfast tacos, and the third was pancakes and muffins. Each day there was also a good serving of fruit, yogurt, and granola. There was also milk and juice (in sealed containers). The outside sitting areas are really great. I spent every evening sitting out there, drinking a glass of wine and reading. The innkeepers, Amber and Bill, are so warm and friendly. They were easy to chat if I wanted to chat, and they would leave me alone if I wanted to be left alone. It was always easy to find them – either call to them in the yard (where someone was often gardening) or knock on their back door. Everything about The Italian Place exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Amber and Bill!

My husband surprised me by planning a get-away for us in the middle of the week. He chose The Italian Place in Stonewall -- and I'm so glad he did! The outside area was exceptional -- peaceful, comfy and perfect for quiet conversation. We also loved riding the bicycles along the river, a fun experience that is unique to this B&B. The breakfasts were varied, delicious, and quietly delivered the night before when we were away for dinner. We had a great time, and hope to return again soon.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Italian Place. Set against the idyllic pastures of Stonewall, I couldn't have asked for a better place. The stars at night truly are big and bright . . . Our stay at The Italian Place was excellent. We did not spend much time in the unit itself; but, the time spent in the unit was second to none. It was exactly what we were looking for...close to Lukenbach and very quiet. The breakfast was way more than we expected and very delicious. We will definitely be back when we can spend a little more time sitting around drinking some wine and sampling different cheeses. It has been since I was a small boy growing up on a ranch in Oklahoma in the 60s that I have left the door unlocked and felt safe...unbelievable. Great people and a great place.

The Italian place was one of the best and most welcoming bed and breakfast places we've stayed. We just fell in love with Bunny!!!!!, Sophie, Giovanni, Bill and Amber! It felt like home the minute we entered into the driveway - warm, cozy, inviting, quiet, private, relaxing. From the delicious food to the tasteful decor, every little thing had a special touch with detailed perfection. The hosts made sure our room was air conditioned after arriving from a hot day of shopping in Fredricksburg, the fridge had cold water, breakfast for the morning, and a birthday cake for my Mom and daughter!!! The church we attended for Saturday evening mass was just around the corner, LBJ National Park is a stone throw away, Fredricksburg was only 12 miles away which I loved because you don't hear the loud noisy motorcycles at night while sitting outside, Becker Vineyard and Wild Seed Farms is less than 4 miles down the road. Unfortunately, we missed the peaches by a month, but I loved this place so much that we will be back at a time they are in season! I would highly recommend The Italian Place to those who want a clean, quiet, hideaway, that offers a delicious breakfast which is prepared for you a day ahead so you can eat at YOUR convenience instead of eatting between certain times like most bed and breakfast places!

Location was perfect to Fredericksburg and the wineries. We were able to keep our small spoiled dog there so that worked good. If you have problem with stairs, the upper unit may be a problem. Other than that, they had everything we needed and was first class. Bill and Amber were very hospitable and I loved their 2 standard poodles. Stay in paradise.

In the heart of the Texas Hill Country, this place has a lot of charm. The room was comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We were visiting nearby family, so we didn't stay in the room a lot, but it felt like "coming home" when we got there. The breakfast was delivered to the room the night before, which was so convenient! It was very good! We even managed to take a ride on their bikes for a while. We definitely would recommend it to others!

Excellent accommodations. Great value for the price. Conveniently located for exploring all that Texas Hill Country has to offer. Vineyards, historic locations, music to satisfy all tastes, great barbeque, world class gormet food and dining, and unique shopping all within easily traveled distances. Amber and Bill have gone, and will go, to great lengths to make your stay enjoyable.

This is an extremely relaxing and romantic bed and breakfast. The location makes you feel like no one else is around. Incredible hot tub and very romantic fire place. Breakfast is Exquisite.

The Italian Place helped make our first anniversary just perfect! It was the ONLY place where we could book just one night and we are on a tight budget so that was a key element to being able to do this. The food tasted great and was very filling--and we loved that we got to eat it in our room whenever we decided to get up!! Our room was cozy and romantic and they even provided several movie options in case we wanted to watch a movie (romantic choices, action, comedy...there was something for everyone). This had all the sweet touches and thoughtful additions we could ever think of and was still priced very reasonably. We will definitely be back and hopefully be able to stay for more than one evening. Thanks for everything!! Paul and Rachel N.

My boyfriend and I went to Fredericksburg for his birthday, and I found The Italian Place online. It was very nice. We had our own room away from the house, so it was very private. Instead of being required to have breakfast at a certain time each morning and with a big group, our breakfast was brought to us and placed inside the room refrigerator each night. We were able to heat up the breakfast in the morning and eat whenever we felt like it. The owners were so pleasant and we really enjoyed talking with them. We even got a nice surprise as we left on Sunday...a box full of Fredericksburg peaches fresh picked from the owner's orchard! We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit that area.

We traveled from Indiana to see the Hill Country, stayed at The Italian Place for 2 1/2 weeks in Jan. Bellisimo is a beautiful studio apt., very cozy, lovely surroundings. We visited wineries and many small towns in the area. Amber gave us suggestions of places to visit, and we left part of our hearts in Texas! Amber and Bill are friendly hosts who provide everything you need for a relaxing visit. We were treated to a lovely breakfast the morning we departed. We would recommend their beautiful, quiet place as a special get away - hope to return again. Elaine

We had the pleasure of staying at The Italian Place and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. Nothing negative to say about it. Room very pleasant.

The Italian Place definitely exceeded our expectations. Our hosts, Amber and Bill, greeted us like old friends. The room was a jewel box. The attention to detail and comfort was outstanding. Breakfast was yummy. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will be back!

This was a perfect get away. Close enough to all the wineries and shopping, but just far enough away to feel like you escaped to the country. The hosts were very nice and personable.

The Italian Place offered not only the best hospitality by Amber and Bill, but also a great breakfast, a cozy fireplace on a cool night and a great getaway right after the hectic Christmas holiday! I will definitely return!
5 on December 08, 2010
The Italian Place is one of the nicest bed and breakfast stays we have had. It was cozy, everything was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. If you want a quiet stay, with nice patios and outdoor areas, along with a comfortable atmosphere all around, check out The Italian Place in Stonewall.

This place was only a short drive away. The room (Bella Sera) was beautifully decorated with a warm inviting decor, equipped for romance with a stone fireplace directly in front of the comfy bed and a jacuzzi in the bathroom big enough for two! All of the little touches made all the difference such as the handwritten welcome note, bath robes, refreshments, welcome book full of useful information regarding things to do, the guest books, and finally the goodnight treat (which I will not tell because it is such a LOVELY surprise). The landscaping was just as beautiful as the room. The outdoor porch was so inviting, as well as the outdoor firepit. Lastly, the hosts made this place exceptional. As the motto of the room said: "It's Never Too Late To Live Happily Ever After".
5 on November 15, 2010
This is a wonderful, inviting haven from the hectic world. We were welcomed with delicious chocolate, and breakfast was ready and waiting at our demand. The design is very homey and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and we had a nice chat around the fire pit in the outside living area. We watched some great movies that were available to view on a large TV. It was very relaxing and we will return!
4.8 on November 06, 2010
Close enough to Fredericksburg, but w/o the traffic, & noise. Hosts were quiet & discreet, the most gracious & thoughtful. I loved the idea of breakfast delivered the night before so I didn't have to dress to go eat & come back to shower, dress & go about my day. Better than "a room", you could just step outside & relax in a welcoming courtyard.

My wife and I and our friends traveled from Ft. Worth to Stonewall in October to visit the wineries and the wine and food fest in Fredericksburg. We stayed in both rooms at the Italian Place and they were wonderful. The location was just perfect between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. Amber and Bill were the greatest host. The breakfast was great. We will definitely stay here again and also highly recommend to anyone.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Italian Place. We stayed in Buona Sera, which, simply put, was perfect. Very comfortable, clean, cozy and well decorated. We spent a good amount of time on the patio and enjoyed the friendly company of the property pets. When returning at night, the owners had left a tasty dessert and breakfast for in the morning. They also had the patio all set up for us to enjoy. If you are looking for a place to stay near Fredericksburg, your search can stop here.
5 on September 20, 2010
We absolutely loved our stay at Buona Sera. The bed was so comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was divine. I loved all of the decor and the outside sitting area. The breakfast was a delicious way to start the morning. The fact that there are at least 6 or 7 wineries within a 5 mile radius was a definite bonus! Love, love, love Buona Sera! It was a great place to spend our 1st anniversary! Good times, good memories. Thank you Bill and Amber. We will be back. Henry and Zelda

We took one day to enjoy Fredericksburg so we only got to stay for one night. We absolutely loved the privacy of the room and the little kitchen was an added bonus. The breakfast burrito's were really good. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we already had our plans for the rest of our getaway. Next time, we will be staying longer. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Tucked away outside Fredricksberg, this B&B was perfect. The room was very clean and decorated very tastefully. They welcomed our dog with a treat and a note from their dogs (loved that touch!). Hostess Amber was very friendly; we will definently visit The Italian Place again. Michael & Kendell Cox (and Sassy the Yorkie)

Overall we enjoyed our three night stay. The room is behind the owners house so we spoke with them a few times during our stay. The owners bring breakfast each day for the following morning. The food was home made and very good. The last night the owners made fresh cookies an dropped them off for us. Since peaches were in season the owners offered to let us pick peaches from their trees so we had fresh peaches each day. The room was clean and nice overall. They provided pretty much everything that may be needed, from plates and utensils to paper towels and bug spray. They even provided things like an iron, hair dryer and bicycles to ride. There is a nice covered area in back with a table and chairs. The building is nice with a stone structure with lots of wood inside, it's a pleasant place to be in. There were a couple of things we did not like. One thing was that the room overall was pretty small and the bathroom was tiny. I did not get this info from the description. It didn't affect the stay, but I would have liked to know. The bathroom only has a tub, no shower. There is a handheld shower head, but with no tub enclosure there is no way to use it like a shower. The description did state this but I overlooked this tidbit. One thing to remember is that this is in Stonewall, which makes it a bit of a drive to Fredericksburg. Overall I would say this place ranked above average and I would recommend it to others. With what it shows on the website and what I have added you will have a good picture of what you are getting.

They are very pet friendly, and have a great back area for dogs. It is a very cozy and relaxing place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the owners are extremely friendly. We will definitely be back!

Bellissimo at the Italian Place is the perfect place in the Texas Hill Country. It is close to all the many activities, wineries, restaurants and shopping in and around Fredericksburg but it is out just enough to be peaceful and relaxing. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They provided excellent breakfasts and were informative about the area. Our loft was spotless, comfortable and had all the comforts of home.

Bill and Amber and "The Italian Place" were absolutely amazing. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. Although it was not a typical honeymoon spot we had an amazing time. The breakfasts left for us each evening to eat in the morning were awesome. Not just a "continental breakfast." They both made you feel right at home. Nathan and I enjoyed sitting and chatting and allowing our dog to play with your two poodles. :) The place was very clean and tidy as well. Thanks so much! Kristina Vonderau

Buona Sera was perfect for the relaxing getaway that we needed. It was cozy, clean, and quiet. The jetted tub was amazing and so relaxing! Breakfast was wonderful & it was a nice surprise to get cookies and a dog biscuit (for our pup) the last night. It was so great that we didn't have to leave our dog behind and that there was even a bed for her! Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed at Buona Sera with our small dog to celebrate our anniversary. This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and it was a fabulous experience. The room was immaculate and very charming. Loved the fireplace! The grounds were lovely, I felt like I was truly in an Italian Villa! Loved the sweet frienly animals and the patio and outdoor firepit were very enjoyable. We loved touring the wineries which were just a few miles down 290 and had fun shopping and eating out in Fredericksburg (about 5-10 minutes away). The hosts were the best! We will definitely return!

Amber and Bill really make you feel at home. We stayed in Bellissimo and it was beautiful. With all the little details that were covered, it felt like they know what they are doing. This was our first time staying at a B&B, but it will not be our last and absolutely not our last to stay at The Italian Place. PS. We love the breakfast!

From the minute we pulled into the driveway, we knew we'd made a good choice. It's hard to pick with so many B&B choices, but The Italian Place is a quaint, extremely clean, private B&B. We loved seeing the animals next door as well! The accomodations are very well kept, plenty of space but not huge by any means. We enjoyed being away from the "hustle and bustle" of Fredericksburg and the close proximity to the wineries. Although we didn't use it, they have a great sitting area downstairs with a little fireplace. Bottom line: If you're like us and looking for an extremely clean, well priced place to stay outside of Fredericksburg, you can't go wrong with The Italian Place. Owners clearly take pride in the grounds w/the flowers and decor.

Bill and Amber were the most gracious of hosts and honestly the breakfasts were amazing. Thank you Amber. What an amazing surprise The Italian Place was for us when we were participating in the Voices of a Grateful Nation Guiness World Book record breaking event in Luckenbach. A beautiful room with more amenities than expected and special "little touches" that sent it over the top. When there you must sit on the patio and just stare up at the stars at night...ahh the peace and quiet and beautiful Texas sky. Thanks again and we can't wait for an excuse to come back! The Italian Place was exactly what we had hope for, drawing us into a simpler, quieter life. How we enjoyed the scrumptious breakfasts on the cozy back porch complete with an affectionate accent cat to greet us each morning. We appreciated the bicycles they provided which took us on a relaxing ride along the Pedernales River. We soaked in the fantastic views of the river and local wildlife and revisited the rich history of the LBJ ranch. It was definately a time to cherish.

We didn't travel with our dog this time but when we go back we will definately be bringing our pup. The place was quiet and very relaxing. Stonewall is about 15 minutes from Fredericksburg and we were thankful to be away from the town on the busy Memorial Day weekend we spent in the area. The location allowed us to visit some of the wineries, shopping and LBJ State Park that we may have misssed being in town. Bill and Amber were very helpful offering us suggestions on where to go and what to do. I would highly recommend this B&B.

We loved Buona Sera- it was the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend. As a citydweller, I loved being able to stargaze from their patio, and we also enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room was spotless and nicely decorated, with lots of helpful touches (from materials on what to do in Fredericksburg to items you may have forgotten, like bug spray). The innkeepers were very helpful with directions and recommendations. The breakfast and snacks were amazing, I hope they will share their recipes. :)

My husband and I came for a weekday retreet from Chesapeake, VA hoping to have a relaxing, "kid-less", responsibility-free time and we have been extremely pleased with our stay. Buona Sera is clean and peaceful with excellent breakfast. The patio setting is quaint and great for a "night in". We went to the wineries close by. The shopping isn't far away and the dining is wonderful. Much to our surprise, we were right next door to LBJ State Park where we had a picnic and walked around. Amber was extremely pleasant and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We shopped all day in Fredericksburg and then came back to the room for a super quiet evening. The central heat and air came in handy. The Italian Place is wonderful. It is a quiet- country-style setting with great accommodations. "Bellisimo" is the loft on this property where we stayed. Absolutely fantastic, romantic, and private. This is a must stay and see just outside of Fredericksburg, TX.

Bill and Amber were fantastic. The B&B is adorable. We had a problem with Absolute Charm, the site where the B&B was booked, but Amber and Bill were great and even gave us a key at 3 am!! Breakfast was amazing. Would stay there again when in Fredricksburg.

This was a weekend getaway for my wife and I. Bill and Amber made it absolutely amazing. The breakfasts were great (Tacos w/salsa were AMAZING). They left us homemade cookies and even invited us into their home. They went over and above to make our stay the best. The room/suite was extremely clean and smelled great. The fireplace was ready with new wood (cedar) both nights. The patio was very nice. The room was more spacious than it appeared in the pictures. It was pretty easy to find and out away from downtown Fredricksburg. It was relaxing and close enough to Fredricksburg that we could enjoy the food and shopping. We WILL be back. The hospitality goes over and above any other place we have stayed including the Ritz Carlton. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

The owners are very lovely people and represent the best of what Texas is all about! I will return again and explore more of the Texas Hill Country, telling all my friends to follow me and see Texas through the eyes of Amber and Bill at The Italian Place!

My fiance and I stayed in Buona Sera last Spring and had an absolutely inchanting stay! The bed and breakfast is tucked away in the beautiful Hill Country and is just the perfect place to stay for a cozy getaway. The hospitality is top notch and very informative. The room is perfect for any theme, whether it be romantic or to just escape reality! They go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and completely in the know of all in the surrounding areas. I recommend this bed and breakfast to all I know! Thank you Italian Place!!! Will be back very soon!:)
