My husband, mother, daughter and I stayed at Alexandra's House for 3 nights. I can not say enough wonderful things about this Bed and Breakfast. We are not usually attracted to B & B's but this one was a lovely exception. It was immaculate and charming. The effort that Rosemary and Reed put into their home is fantastic. There were no dusty dried flowers or sad doilies, instead it was light, airy and joyful. To top it off, Rosemary's breakfasts were some of the best food I have ever had. She takes great pride in her cooking, as well she should. Can't beat Alexandra's House for a lovely get-a-way.

My wife and I stayed two nights while in town to celebrate our son's graduation from Texas State. This B&B is conveniently located with easy access to Wimberley and San Marcos, but is quiet and secluded. Our room was beautiful with direct access to the wrap-around porch. Water features on the property are inviting and relaxing. The common areas are comfy and inviting. Rosemary is a consummate host and provided top-shelf breakfasts. The scones were fabulous! We will return and recommend this B&B to our friends and family!

Alexandra's House was a beautiful place to get away for a night. The home is so nice and clean and the grounds are rustic and well manicured. Rosemary makes you feel so welcome and can cook like nobody's business. Hope to return again someday.

My wife and I planned a vacation in the Hill Country of Texas, We wanted to get into Austin and San Antonio as well as delight in the beautiful wildflowers near Fredericksburg. We decided to stay for 7 days at Alexandra's House, which is half way between San Marcos and Wimberly. This turned out to be a great decision as the location afforded us easy access, via day trips, to all that we wanted to do. Rosemary made us feel like we were part of the family and right at home. Her two course breakfasts were so generous and tasteful that we didn't need lunch during any of our outings. A potential difficulty for Rosemary was that I am on a gluton free diet. She took that as a challenge, bought the proper mixes, and made the most tasteful gluton free food I had eaten in quite a while. She is an excellent cook. The B&B was roomy, spotless, and quiet. The grounds were delightful for strolling. Everything that we could ask for was provided.

The Alexandra's House is by far the best my wife and I have been to here in the state of Texas and we've been to many. Everything about the place far exceeds what we've looked for in a B&B and what makes it even more a place to return is the host, Rosemary. She makes you feel right at home and her breakfast is creative and very delicious. She obviously works hard to make sure your visit is relaxing and enjoyable. We we go to San Marcos or Wimberly, the Alexandra's House is our home base and we recommend it to all our friends.

I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Alexandra's House last weekend. The home is beautifully set in a quiet wooded area. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortably furnished. We loved being able to step out the french doors and onto a private porch, complete with rocking chairs. The common areas were inviting and cozy, perfect for conversation. Breakfast was the best I've had in a very long time, especially the homemade scones and stuffed french toast. But what really makes Alexandra's House special is Rosemary. From the moment you walk in, she welcomes you as if you were family. Thank you so much for offering up your home and your heart! We will definitely be back!
