This place was awesome! Perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway away with your significant other or for a fun weekend with one or two other couples. Great accommodations! Jon are Laura are so welcoming and they made a yummy breakfast! I can't say enough great things and can't wait to come back!

I was excited to arrive on my first afternoon on a hot Texas day and have the ability to relax and swim in the pool. The setting gives one a Texas ranch feel. The "hearty breakfast" was delicious and plenty to last until dinner. Laura and Jon are wonderful hosts and made me feel like family.

Found this little slice of hill country heaven online. Location was perfect for the two event weekend! When we arrived on a hot Friday afternoon my first surprise was the welcoming swimming pool! Woohoo! John and Laura greeted us with their four footed friend which I was already missing from home. Took us to our room and it was so much more than I expected. The bathroom (funny thing to brag about) was awesome. Met another couple at the pool and made fast friends....another unexpected treat. Both breakfasts were wonderful--but even better was getting to know our hosts! This place rocks. Good bed...breakfast...and friends thrown into the mix!

Me and my now fiance' David visited the bed and breakfast a few weekends ago and loved it!!! Jon and Laura's hospitality was great and they were very welcoming! The food was amazing and it felt like home away home. I also got a massage during our stay there and it was great; Debbie was gentle, professional, and always concerned about my comfort. From the room (which we stayed in the Lighthouse room) to the food to the peacefulness of the area, everything was perfect! We got engaged here and look forward to celebrating future anniversaries here as well!! Thanks again Jon and Laura for making our weekend getaway one to remember for years to come! :-) Cassie & David

My stay at the Lime Kiln Vineyard Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of magical. The accommodations were wonderful, spacious and elegantly appointed, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and local happenings. The morning meal was spectacular, to name it merely “breakfast” seems understated, and my special requests and dietary restrictions were met with helpful smiles. I left the meal full, happy, and satisfied, and ready to face a day of touring delights. The town of San Marcos is a most interesting, happening college town, with lots going on, local events that the innkeepers were quick to share information and pertinent details about. I am only sorry I was there in December, and the weather was not conducive to enjoying the pool, which, like the rest of the property, was wonderfully landscaped, and looked inviting, despite the chill in the air. I simply cannot wait until I have the opportunity to return, and enjoy the peaceful setting, and warm reception once again, of this wondrous home-away-from-home.

I would recommend the Lime Kiln Bed and Breakfast for anyone who wants an escape from everyday life in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. It was peaceful and quiet. And the innkeepers, Jon and Laura, were super friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. We loved visiting with them and the other guests as we lingered over the delicious and substantial breakfast every morning. The swimming pool would have been a welcome bonus if it had been hot enough to swim! My daughter and I had a lovely time together exploring Hill Country, attending a concert at Gruene Hall, and coming back to relax at the Lime Kiln B&B! Both of us hope to return someday with our husbands.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lime Kiln Vineyard. The suite was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Jon & Laura were very inviting and friendly. Breakfast was excellent (large portions and good food in general). We were only taking a quick 1 night getaway, but we definitely plan to come back for a longer stay in the future.

Had a "girls weekend reunion" with my 2 best friends at the Llime Kiln. Just can't say enough about this experience. Location is perfect, grounds are beautiful with colorful plantings throughout, nice pool, serene setting. Immaculately clean, well appointed and beautifully furnished suites with confortable beds. Breakfast is fantastic; the innkeepers know how to please their guests.

WOW. What a weekend. My wife and I along with her sister and brother and spouses met at the Lime Kiln B&B for the weekend. It was outstanding!!! Jon and Laura are fantastic hosts. The location was the best. Minutes away from the city but very secluded and quiet. Wives had massages on Saturday morning and could not say enouigh about Denise and how great she was and also very personable. The guys went to play golf at the university golf course just minutes away. If you are looking for a get away place to have a quiet enjoyable time this is the place. Jon & Laura thank you so much for your hospital;ity. See you again.
