    Our Babymoon

    September 26, 2012

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing place to getaway and enjoy a 'Babymoon' before the birth of our first child. We saw a special on Living Social for this Bed & Breakfast that included chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider in the evening and breakfast served in bed the next day, I just couldn't resist :) We stayed in the Library Room which we loved. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed the view from the large windows facing the backyard. Breakfast was delicious, you could tell a lot of thought and work went into each dish. Cindy, the innkeeper was very friendly and offered great suggestions on activities and restuarants to visit. One of our favorites was to make reservations at Sabor A Pasion, where Chef Simon cooked us an elaborate 3 course meal that I'm still drooling about. Needless to say, we had a wonderful, relaxing time!

    Perfect Getaway

    June 07, 2012

My mom and I recently spent two nights at the Magnolia Street Inn. The house was amazing and filled with so much history, and Cindy was a wonderful host! The rooms were immaculate and breakfast each morning was wonderful. We ended up being the only guests there that weekend, so we had plenty of time to chat with Cindy and watch movies in the downstairs parlor in our bath robes. We'd love to go back again someday, and bring our friends with us! Thanks, Cindy!

    Weekend Getaway

    April 29, 2012

I recently purchased a deal from Livingsocial.com in order to get away for the weekend with my husband. We were a little hesitant not knowing the area, but wanted a quiet place to stay. Magnolia Street Inn was perfect. It met our expectation and then some. The breakfast both days were amazing. The room we stayed in was beautiful and the bed was just as comfortable as our bed at home. As for the couple who commented about getting scolded for going in the wrong door, it is true there is no clear entry (the back is beautifully landscaped), but a quick phone call confirmed the use of the front door. We had a great time walking the downtown area and visiting the local winery's suggested by Cindy. Thanks for a great get away.

    BEAUTIFUL House, Ok Service

    April 11, 2012

The house is BEAUTIFUL and very well kept. The breakfast was delicious. The price was reasonable. The Innkeeper was less than personable, however. There was no clear path from the parking lot to the front door, so we used the back door and she scolded us for doing so. Also, she told us to be SURE and be down at 9:00 the next morning for breakfast as that is when it would promptly be served. We were there at 8:55 and breakfast was not served until 9:15. Only 15 minutes late, yes, but she was adamant about us being there on time. And we were. But breakfast was not. Immediately after breakfast we went to our room to gather our stuff (we had to get on the road). She had asked us earlier to leave our keys on the desk/nightstand in our room. We did so. So we came downstairs to head out and she was talking to another guest. We wanted to give her compliments on the breakfast and so we stood there for a minute while she finished up her conversation and then told her "You did such a good job on that breakfast casserole! It was delicious! We very much enjoyed it. Thank you!" To which her reply was "Oh, you're welcome! Now did yall leave your keys in your bedroom? You made sure and did that, right? You wouldn't believe how many times people take their keys with them!" It just seemed like she completely blew our compliment off and all she cared about was whether or not we had left our keys. Perhaps she was just having a bad couple of days, or maybe we just caught her at a bad moment, but I just felt like she could have been a little more friendly. Would we stay here again? Hmmm.....I don't know if our experience was bad enough to say that we never would. But I definitely wouldn't be opposed to trying somewhere else.

    Best B&B We've Been too!

    March 14, 2012

The house was lovely, warm and inviting (and absolutely spotless), but it was Cindy, the Inn Keeper, that made our stay so memorable. Her hospitality, delicious breakfast and personal attention to details, may have spoiled us for other B&B's!

    Awesome place

    February 06, 2012

Every detail taken care of. Our room had fresh tulips in the sitting area when we arrived. the king size bed was so comfy! nice private bath and hot shower! very roomy with a southern charm and updated amenities. Breakfast was wonderful and this setting provided a nice relaxing get away weekend for us. We recommend Magnolia Inn to anyone who likes a nice place that is affordable with attention to every detail met!! Great experience!

    Birthday Get Away

    November 22, 2011

The Magnolia Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Rooms were large, immaculate and cozy. Hospitality was grand as we were treated to wine and cheese one evening and chocolate covered strawberries and wine the following night. Breakfast was plentiful and superb served with fine china and sterling silver! Coffee and tea were available anytime. Our inkeeper, Cindy gave us plenty of privacy while making us feel relaxed and very much at home. This is a newly opened inn and is destined to make a fine name for itself. Highly recommended!
