If you are looking for peace, quiet & complete relaxation this is the place! Set in the cutest historic little town of Gruene, it's perfect for a quick getaway. The rooms are clean & comfortable (each bathroom has a jacuzzi tub!). The grounds are quite inviting as well, lots of public space to wander around outside and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine overlooking the river. Full breakfast (at 9 am served family style with all the guests at the same table) was delicious! Come hungry - you won't be disappointed. We never even ate lunch, we still weren't hungry. Head to Gruene for a delicious dinner at any of the quaint venues. We can't wait to come back!

Everyone was very helpful and we checked in without a hitch. The grounds are terrific, we'd love to see it in the spring or summer (we had a Thanksgiving week stay) when the gardens are in bloom. The room was super clean and comfy. Breakfast was just right. You can't go wrong staying at the Lamb's Rest Inn.

The Inn is a beautiful updated Old Home and very well maintained. I only stayed one night and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. I did find the bed a little too firm as well as the pillows, but over all very nice, quiet, location..

We spent our 11th anniversary at Lamps Rest Inn. It was perfect for what we wanted for our celebration. In addition they were very helpful for me to get my wonderful wife flowers in our room on our anniversary. I highly recommend this facility if you want to stay in the area.

We stayed here only one night. But it was very nice, quiet and so relaxing. Our room was extremely clean. I really liked how we could walk down some steps to the river or just stay on the porch to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine. Also having our morning coffee outside.

The property is immaculately maintained with a lovely terraced back yard leading down to 2 separate decks from which to watch the river roll by beneath the shade of pecans and live oaks. The linens are sumptuous--one melts into a great night's sleep. The proprietors and the staff are friendly and genuinely interested in providing a great stay. They seem to instinctively realize how much attention guests desire--whether a great deal or not much--and respond to that. Breakfast is delicious and served in a large, sunlit room with a solid bank of windows looking out upon the back yard and gardens. And the cookies. Excellent cookies. I left a pair of sandals and Diane graciously mailed them to me which I really appreciate.
