I discovered the Gruene Apple Inn in 2000, have visited at least once a year since, and wonder why I haven’t rated it before. This Inn is beyond incredible! When we pulled onto the property, we were impressed with the grounds, gazebo, and pond in the front of the beautiful home (or rather bed & breakfast). The grandeur entry made us feel drawn into the large common area appointed with comfortable furniture, gorgeous fireplace, and accessories to enjoy. The owners indulge the guests by displaying unique “Gruene apple artifacts” throughout. There are common areas throughout the inn, including a warm and cozy library, a large recreation room with several game tables with games available, a theater room with a movies featured nightly, extensive sun rooms on both floors across the back, and access to the Guadaluope River at the back of the inn for walking pleasure. As for the rooms, each has its own unique and clever theme, and we’ve stayed in several of them. Our favorite (and most everyone’s) is the “Shady Lady,” but we’ve loved every room that we’ve stayed in. The attention to detail in each room is amazing. The Gruene Apple breakfast is the best we’ve ever had—I mean ever! The kitchen is open to the dining room and is beautiful, clean, and bright. The innkeepers cook and serve the breakfast. I have never met more gracious, friendly, and interesting innkeepers. We always feel welcomed and like we are "their very special guests." The quaint community of Gruene has a warm, small town ambiance that is so welcoming. Unique places to eat and shop are abundant, and there is an extensive outlet mall nearby in San Marcos. We’ll go back at every opportunity!

Our August stay at the Gruene Apple B&B was our first but we are already looking forward to returning. The breakfast buffets were delicious with a different specialty dish each morning. The room we had was spacious, nicely decorated, and well equipped (mini-fridge, ceiling fan, coffee maker, white noise maker). There are plenty of common areas inside and out allowing for relaxation and recreation. We cooled off in the swimming pool during the day and played several of the many game room offerings in the evening. The location is ideal since we were able to walk to the Gruene shops, restaurants, and night life. The staff was welcoming and friendly which added to our great B&B experience at the Gruene Apple.

I recently stayed at the Gruene Apple, and I can't wait to get back there! The Gruene Apple has such an amazing and welcoming feeling. The property is gorgeous, and they have so many ammenities. Not only did I enjoy the pool, but I also enjoyed the hot tub and game room. I would have to say that the BEST part of my stay would have to be the gourmet breakfast! Every morning the breakfast is different, but I would request Ki and Linda make the stuffed french toast and green chili and cheese casserole... AMAZING!

Have stayed there twice and like no other B&B....many features not usually experienced. Swimming pool and hot tub, and wonderful game room with pool table, shuffleboard, pac man, air hockey....and entertainment room with 12 ft screen and luxurious lz boy chairs....and the best B&B breakfast ever....easy walk in to Gruene....it truly has it all
