The Faust House is one of ten distinctive farmhouses located on the 8 acre grounds of Gruene Homestead Inn.
Gruene Homestead Inn provides a full, Texas-style hot breakfast to registered guests. Our breakfast is elegantly presented in our Faust dining room. We always have scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes as well as all of the traditional continental kinds of items. In addition, we often supplement the meal with either biscuits and sausage gravy, tamales and kolaches, Belgian waffles, or egg and sausage breakfast tacos.
The Faust House has been moved 3 times in it's almost 100 years of existence. This house has two guest units... Ella's Attic and The Garden Room.
The Cottage is one of our 4 stand-alone units and it sits behind the Faust House. It has a private porch and a double jacuzzi bathtub. This unit is popular as a "Honeymoon Suite."
The Farmhouse was built in 1859 and is the original homestead on the property. It has 5 guest units including one with sleeping quarters in the root cellar.
The Cabin is one of our 4 stand-alone units. It was built in 1940 as grain storage for sheep and hogs that were being housed in The Farmhouse.
The Texas House is an 1890's Texas Farmhouse that was originally located in Comal Town of New Braunfels. It has two units... The Bluebonnet Room and the Yellow Rose Suite.
The Rose Cottage is an 1890's Texas Farmhouse that was originally located in Comal Town of New Braunfels. It has two guests units... the Lady Banks Suite and the Belinda Suite.
The Country House is a 100 year old Greek Revival style farmhouse that is locally known as the Brodt house and was originally located about a mile from it's present location. The house now contains 4 beautiful guest units.
Designed and built by owners Ed and Billie Miles, The Millwood House is the only "new-old" house on the property. Most of the interior wood and bricks were salvaged in 1998 from the antique flood-ruined Dittlinger Mill.
The Silo is one of the most unique guest units on the 8 acre Homestead property. It is essentially a loft apartment that has been built into a 1940's grain silo. You don't see things like this just anywhere.
The Ranch House was built in 1994 as a private residence. It is unique on our property in that it has a full kitchen and private picnic area with a large gas BBQ pit in the rear. The house is perfect as a central base for large groups.
The grounds of Gruene Homestead Inn are decorated with antique farm implements and equipment originally used by Edwin Hanz, whose family helped settle this area of New Braunfels.
Amenities at Gruene Homestead Inn include a full breakfast each morning, swimming pool and hot tub, tavern with live music and full bar, free WiFi internet, and 8 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds.
All rooms at Gruene Homestead Inn have private entrances and baths with a choice of Jacuzzi tubs, antique soaking tubs, or stand up showers, King or Queen size beds, cable television, coffee makers, and private porches.
The inn can provide family accommodations in cottages and guest houses that sleep up to 5 people. Families return year after year to reunite by enjoying our tavern, pool, outside games, and luxurious accommodations.
Gruene Homestead Inn is within minutes of historic Gruene and New Braunfels, the Guadalupe and Comal rivers, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Natural Bridge Caverns, the McKenna Children's Museum, and both Landa Park and The Bandit golf courses. The location is convenient for visitors interested in golfing, rafting, tubing, fishing, dancing, shopping at the outlet malls, or touring the Texas hill country.

We have stayed at Gruene Homestead Inn over the past several years. Sometimes it is just my husband and I and other times we have brought large groups. The Hosts are very accommodating. The property is unique and the facility is very clean with lots of amenities. More than you would expect from a B&B. Breakfast is always good!!! We highly recommend Gruene Homestead Inn.

Nice place. I was disapointed with the internet service. The rooms were very nice but the food was no better than some chain hotels.

my wife and i stayed on a friday and saturday night. rooms were clean...and had everything we needed. loved the onsite things to do... horseshoes, washers, pool, hot tub, etc. breakfast was great... and loved the onsite bar, and location to town. bed could have been a bit softer... and would have loved an onsite hammock check out... or spot. we will defenitely return and reccomment.

My girlfriend and I also stayed here on New Years Eve. We've been here before and love the inn. It has all of the creature comforts that we expect, plus a tavern on the property. Close enough to have some adult beverages, far enough so that you can't hear the music. It was truly a wonderful stay and we will be back! Mr Ed and Mrs Billie are wonderful hosts and the atmosphere was rustic with Gruene Hall an easy walk away. The grounds were beautiful with old time farming equipment placed all over. Easily the best B&B in Gruene!!!

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our anniversay so we wanted some place with good atmosphere and quite. The room was quite rustic which we expected but what I didn't expect want the "loud" green color on the walls. Also, being an older building we expected some creeking with the floors but all we heard all night was the door in the unit next door - open and close, open and close, open and close. It was like a revolving door. Went on for hours. I know the place is rustic and old; but even that is a bit much. On the flip side, breakfast was fantastic. I just wish that because it was New years day they would have extended the schedule for breakfast and for check out.

My husband and I first stayed at the Gruene Homestead Inn in 2003 and have been coming back ever since. We've stayed in different suites and houses on the property, and each has been well appointed, comfortable, and charming. We just booked our 2011 holiday and are staying at the Gruene Homestead Inn for the entire time. Truly a gem in the hill country!
