Overall our stay was wonderful. Loved the room, the quiet location and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. The only reason not to give 5 all the way is that their is a jacuzzi tub. .we used it one night and residue or something came through the jets. Would stay again definitely but would probably use the hand held shower rather than the jacuzzi.

We stayed and invited our parents to make the trip with us. The views are epic. The rooms are clean, spacious and private. You don't have to worry about your vehicle getting broken into either. We rented an entire house for the price of a mediocre hotel room. If you order the breakfast you better be hungry! It's enough food to keep you going all day! I just booked a return trip for Oktoberfest. SO looking forward to returning and relaxing on the front porch with coffee and watching the "lawnmower" wander through the yard. ( it's a pet donkey) I can't say enough about the service, atmosphere, and value. Jason and Ande.

My husband I our empty nesting and started to travel. This was our first experience at a B & B -Guest house....we will NEVER stay in a hotel if we don't have to. We stayed in the retreat, it's a house all to ourselves. Can I say very private and peaceful. I can't say enough about the breakfast. Best meal ever, we didn't have to eat lunch the portions exceed any restaurant you could go to. The pool late night swim under the stars was amazing. The other guest were just as nice and were repeat guest!!!Be sure and say hi to resident pig Wilbur...can you say Sweetheart of a 600lb. pig!!! family member to the owners!!Will definitely go back!

We stayed a single night at the Trail's End guest house, and it was FANTASTIC! We stayed in the Tuscan Barn Room. The trip from Fredericksburg took about 25 mins and after following the very detailed directions provided by the innkeeper (emailed to me a week ahead of time) we arrived and followed the little boardwalk path that lead to the door to our private sunroom, which opened into a private courtyard. There is a lovely pool area with a fantastic view looking down over the valley. There was a two person jacuzzi tub we enjoyed very much. I have never been to a B&B where more thought was put into everything for the guest's comfort and enjoyment. They thought of everything, from DVDs, books, and magazines, to a full complement of plates, glasses, wine glasses, utensils and basic barbecue gear (For use with the grill in our courtyard) to plenty of TOP NOTCH coffee, cream and sugar with large homey coffee mugs. There was insect repellant on a shelf outside (which we didn't need but you are in the woods), and they even had Q-Tips in the bathroom! (Something I never remember to pack.) Breakfast was served in our sunroom right on time and was plentiful, with freshly baked egg casserole, some kind of yummy toast with whipped cream cheese and honey, and a variety of other things. This place is worth the trip. They even let me borrow a book I started to take home with me and trusted me to mail it back. Give this place a try, you will be satisfied.
