Staying at a B&B should be an experience of a lifetime, a cozy room, a comfortable bed, innkeepers that see to your every need and of course a scrumptious gourmet breakfast served in the privacy of your room.”It is quite possibly the best one you have ever had,” said one of our guests after staying at the Azalea Inn. As soon as you step out of your barouche (sorry I mean car) you are immersed in the vibrant collection of colors of our inn. Then when you enter the front foyer you are suddenly caught up in the romance of Jefferson’s past. The Azalea Inn was the home of the owner of the first foundry in Texas. Although it was moved from Marshall to save its demise, it still has the charm of a true Eastlake home. Welcome to the Azalea Inn.

We found the Azalea House while throwing together a last minute weekend getaway from Dallas. The rates were very fair, our room was beautiful, the owners were extremely helpful, and breakfast was outstanding! We'll definitely visit again. Be certain to also take the Jefferson Historical Ghost Tour, and have some dinner at the KnightLight Tavern.

Jefferson, and the Azalea Inn specifically, continue to provide the best in accommodation and relaxation. Val's breakfast makes the drive worth it! We enjoy our stay more each time.

The best B&B experience. The host was wonderful. The breakfast was food I normally would be too picky to try but was amazing. I'm glad we picked this B&B. Will definitely be back.

We were warmly greeted by our Innkeeper Valerie who showed us to the fascinating Perry Room. It is wonderfully appointed with many interesting details from Texas' past. Everything is clean, neat and thoughtfully arranged. New cable TV was not a necessity for us, but nice to have. An in room coffee pot was appreciated for the early mornings. The mid July weekend we chose to go to Jefferson was very hot, but the AC worked perfectly. This is a beautiful late 1800's home that has been carefully restored with the conveniences you'd expect. The many antique details are thoughtfully arranged at every turn and the grounds are manicured in great detail. If you like mid 1800's Texas history, you'll enjoy the Perry room. It is appointed differently that the others. A review of this B&B is not complete without raving about the amazing breakfasts that Valerie prepared and served on special china. The portions were good and recipes were of good home cooking with an upscale flare. You won't leave hungry! We have stayed in the finest hotels in the USA and very many B&B's - this is near the top of our list. Hotels have their place, but if you want to slow down, this is a pretty good first class setting. It is quiet, private and close to the downtown shops. Antiquing in Jefferson is fun, we enjoyed a pontoon boat trip through Caddo lake. The lake is very unusual. Enjoy!

My husband and I have been guests at the Azalea Inn on two separate occasions now, and my daughter joined us on our last visit. Each time has been absolutely wonderful and a perfectly flawless stay! The breakfasts' that Valerie makes are delicious and so much food that you won't eat another bite all day. The rooms are tidy and neat, and the grounds are gorgeous. If you only have once chance to stay at a bed and breakfast during your lifetime, choose the Azalea Inn--you won't leave disappointed at all!

Beautiful home with all the extra touches! Love the details with the stained glass, wood working, paint and landscaping. So pretty! We stayed in the Valentine room. Bed was comfortable, private bath, breakfast amazing and served in the privacy of your room. Check our the breakfast page. It really is the best breakfast you will ever eat! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We were completely surprised by the Bed and Breakfast! A meal fit for a king was delivered quietly to our room every morning. There were so many things about this place that we loved there is simply no way to put it into words. We can't wait to go back, and would highly recommend it to our friends.

The Azalea is a small but beautiful B & B. The yard is such a beautiful place to sit and relax. The house is comfortable and welcoming. The best part of the stay...the amazing breakfast served every morning right to your room!

My husband and in-laws stayed in two of the rooms. The home and rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. Our hosts were out of town during our visit so we did not get breakfast, but they reduced the room rate which made this stay even more affordable. We stayed in the Perry room during February and it took a long time to get the room warm. My in-laws stayed in the Valentine Room and they were very comfortable. We would like to stay here again the next time we travel to Jefferson.
