We celebrated our 29th anniversary at Among the Texas Stars and we cannot overstate how wonderful our stay was! From the charming cabin to the amazing baked goods to the banks of the Pedernales we felt like we had found our little piece of paradise!! We have taken little getaways for our anniversary every year and we rarely go back to the same place because there is just so much to see and do....but we will absolutely return to the Monarc Ranch B&B....soon and often!!

My wife and I stayed at Among the Texas Stars and loved! It was relaxing, secluded, and romantic. It was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiant getaway.

Everything about the Among the Texas Stars cabin screams private, romantic, get-a-way!. The property is gorgeous! And the owners are great! All of the little ammenities, like the treats left by the owners, the hot tubs, and the charm of this place just makes it that much better! And everything you need is there. I would highly recommend Monarc Ranch to anyone who would like to visit the Hill Country and have a relaxing get-away!

We love to travel, we have lots of friends near and far, we have 4 children, all we have ever done is feed everyone, entertain, and everyone loves to visit the Hill Country. We had these cute little houses on the land, that had been built at various times since the 1920's, and owning and running B&B's seemed very logical to Monica. Marc on the other hand had to be convinced.

Among the Crepe Myrtles
The front porch has a swing enticing rest and relaxation. The living room is painted a soft green to create a comfortable feel while watching the TV/DVD/VCR. A loveseat and comfortable chairs are placed to enjoy both the television and gas log fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen which is fully equipped with range/oven, large refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. There is also a washer and dryer for those longer stays. Two private bedrooms both with queen iron beds have their own bath. The beds are topped with quality, elegant down comforters. Both baths have a large champagne bubbler tub and separate shower (both of the showers is built for the physically impaired). Outside the kitchen a deck leads you to a large private area with table, chairs plus loungers, and a charcoal grill. This Texas Hill Country cottage has been created as a romantic getaway for two. A queen bed is the focal point in this one room cabin. The bathroom offers a bubble tub with a rain head shower. Plus there is a fully equipped kitchen with table and seating for four. The sofa is placed to enjoy the satellite television. Outside is a private deck with hot tub for two under the Texas Stars. There is also a fire circle and charcoal barbeque grill. You can sit and enjoy your meals at the picnic table or relax in the hammock for two. The relaxing covered porch is great for watching the deer, cows and horses. Guests are welcome to walk down to the river for fishing (bring your own equipment). Your hosts have several activities available on the property including ping pong, Frisbee golf, and nature trails.

Suite 1 —1 bedroom and bath This most extraordinary ranch house suite is located just a few miles from Fredericksburg and right in the heart of many of the Hill Country Wineries. The bedroom has a comfy queen iron bed with satiny coverlet and 600 count luxury sheets. The sofa is placed to enjoy the gas log fireplace and satellite television with DVD player. A small fully equipped kitchen offers a stove/range, coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. The spacious bathroom has a champagne bubble tub and separate shower for two. Cancellations: MUST be given at least 10 days notice of cancellation before your confirmed arrival date. A $30 processing fee is charged for each suite. However, if you cancel after the 10 day window, you are financially responsible for each COMPLETE CONFIRMED RESERVATION. If we are able to rebook, there is only a $30 cancellation fee for each suite. Upon notice of cancellation, Gastehaus Schmidt will furnish a cancellation number and mail a cancellation post card. KEEP THE CANCELLATION NUMBER FOR CANCELLATION VALIDATION. Requests to be moved to a different accommodation will not be considered on the day of your arrival, except for emergencies. ALSO, a decrease in the number of people requires a call at least 10 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. I have the right to police the number of people and/or pets in your party, and change the rate accordingly.Registered guests are responsible for any damage to the home and its contents. We had a great stay. Very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub, having a fire in the fire place, and a delicious breakast each morning. We would definitely recommend Monarc Ranch to our friends.
