Built in 1941, this cozy retreat is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or honeymoon. Located 3 short blocks from Marktplatz, Lillie Marlene is within a short walk to shopping and the many festivals that take place in downtown Fredericksburg. In the morning relax & sleep in late if you like-then when you are ready enjoy the seasonal fruit & array of tasty items included with the traditional German breakfast in the charming & fully equipped kitchen. Spend warm Texas evenings on the porch swing, or curled up in front of the fireplace when the air turns crisp in the Hill Country. Lillie Marlene is allergy sensitive and does not utilize chlorine-based, pine oil or heavily scented cleaners. You will not find goose down or feathers and bed linen is sun dried when weather permits. Pets are not allowed. Regrettably, there are no accommodations for children. A 10% military discount is offered with valid military ID upon check-in. Mid-week reduced rates are available. Come stay on what was once known as "Millionaire Street" and see what life is all about in Fredericksburg.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Lillie Marlene in Fredericksburg, Texas. The "little house" was so comfortable and filled with vintage photos of family members/ancestors. Marlene provided a detailed history of the house and the surrounding homes. It was such a pleasure to be part of this living history. Marlene was an excellent hostess, advising us about many activities in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area. She gave us excellent advice about restaurants and true to her word we actually ran in to her and Pat at one of her suggestions!(which by the way had delicious entrees). The "breakfast' treats were excellent and so plentiful that we had satisfying snacks throughout the day. We highly recommend these accommodations and look forward to returning to this spot on our next visit to Fredericksburg.
This business is so rewarding! We get to meet wonderful people like the two of you. Thank you for your very nice review and we look forward to your next visit.

We spent two days at the Lillie Marlene, in Fredericksburg. and loved it. Breakfast is bought in the day before, so there was no need to get up and get dressed, which was wonderful and the food was lovely. There were fresh baked breads, a fresh baked home-made loaf, and sweets ( great lemon poppy bread, banana nut and brownies) along with selections that were microwavable, plus fruit, juice, wine and yogurt. It was more than enough for the two of us. Very clean, 3 room cottage, complete with an outdoor shower, which we loved. (there was an indoor one, too) Nice private sitting area in the back, porch swing on the front porch, and it was only a short walk to downtown. The owners respected our privacy, but responded immediately to any questions or requests. We will stay there again.
It was so nice meeting you and hosting your stay! We look forward to seeing you again and making your next stay even better!

I want to take my bride back soon, not 5, 10 or 30 years from now. This was our first B&B and I'm not in a hurry to look for another besides. We love the Hill Country, and it was wonderful to have a place that felt totally like our home to go to after hiking in nature, shopping, tasting wine, eating great food and listening to great local music (not all in one day) and go home to relax, refresh and be together, with elegant snacks and breakfast ready to go. We were treated like a King and Queen with invisible servants, only very personable servants if you want to be sociable. Only spoke with Marlene and Pat a few times briefly but I feel like they're friends. Thanks LillieMarlene! Hope to see y'all soon.
It was so nice meeting you in person after learning to know you over the phone. You are a delightful couple and we look forward to your return and making your next stay even better. Thank you so much for your great review!

Pat & Marlene are excellent hosts...attentive to needs, available when necessary. The Lillie Marlene cottage is a perfect escape from the busy-ness of life...clean, attractive, surrounded by outside beauty, and close to downtown Fredericksburg. Marlene provides delicious breakfasts and treats. Pat fills you in about local places to see. We have the Lillie Marlene on the top of our list as far as a bed and breakfast we'll plan to revisit. ~J&S, Plano TX

My wife and I stayed one night in April 2014. a very pleasant experience - beautifully maintained unit ( we had a full one bedroom unit with LR, kitchen, and bath to ourselves), with an "outside shower" that will leave you smiling, located on the quite side of the town, and only two short blocks from the MarketPlatz. We'll be back.
Thank you for the very nice review. We look forward to your return and hope you can stay a bit longer. It was a delight meeting both of you.

Our 47th Anniversary was made even more special by the wonderful blessing of being able to stay at the Lillie Marlene. The accommodations are without equal; the food is without equal and the steps that Pat and Marlene take to care for their guests is without equal. A unique B&B indeed. If you desire privacy accompanied by 5 star accommodations and treatment, the Lillie Marlene is the place for you and your loved one.

My wife and I arrived on a Friday night for a short weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay in Fredericksburg and could not have asked for a better B&B to stay the night. The house was well kept and extremely private. The breakfast was great, and included a wonderful homemade bread. If staying, you must take advantage of the outdoor shower. Pat and Marlene took care of all the details. We will definitely be back.
We appreciate your kind review! We look forward to your return and hope you will be able to stay longer. It was a pleasure hosting your stay.

We heard that Lillie Marlene was a special B&B so we made a reservation for one night in August when we were passing through Fredericksburg. From the moment we drove up the driveway, we knew this was a special place. When we walked through the front door of the cottage, my husband and I both said "Wow!!". The cottage is very spacious and well appointed with authentic antiques and vey charming furnishings. The bed linens are plush, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked! Marlene greeted us and showed us around while Pat was busy baking a loaf of bread for our breakfast the next morning! We absolutely loved our stay there. Very private, but located just 3 blocks from Main St. Marlene helped us with recommendations for dinner, and with directions. Honestly, I can't think of one single thing that I would change. Lillie Marlene is perfect! We will definitely be back!

This is a great B&B for couples. First off the landscaping is beautiful, front, and back yard. Inside has modern amenities with an old world feel. Needless to say this is a very cozy stay! The food was very good. The sunflower seed bread, fresh fruit, and the Lillie Marlene eggs made an amazing breakfast! Last but not least the backyard is a private garden that surrounds an outdoor shower! Yes, an outdoor shower!!! My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely. Michael & Kris

My husband and I stayed the weekend recently. Marlene and Pat are great hosts. Charming cottage, very private, located in quiet residential neighborhood, but within close walking distance of historic downtown area. Our visit was very relaxing. The food was delicious! We will make a point of coming back!
