    We just got back from our second stay at The Magnolia Inn on Main and couldn't be happier. The owners were so friendly and the Inn is beautiful. Rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. The Inn is within walking distance to downtown, where you'll find great shops and restaurants.

    I had seen previous reviews about the great hospitality at Magnolia Inn and that certainly didn't disappoint! However, I was even more impressed by the other details. The Inn is perfectly located in downtown Bastrop - everything you need is within walking distance. How nice to park your car and then never have to get back in! Also, no detail has gone overlooked at this B&B - the sheets and towels are so luxurious and soft, the robes wrap you in comfort, the complimentary snacks in your room and let's not forget the complimentary afternoon happy hour...seriously, who else does that? I also loved the decor at the Inn, while the Inn has retained its historic character, you're not greeted with stuffy antiques, but with clean lined, comfortable contemporary decor with a mix of interesting antique and primitive pieces. This Inn is also the perfect place to travel with friends and family – you have the benefit of using the common space for your time together (think board games, good conversation and even an outdoor game of washers or bocce ball) and plenty of privacy when you retire to your bedroom. It’s certainly a much better option than a hotel! I can’t wait for my next trip to the Magnolia Inn!

    I took my boyfriend to the town of Bastrop to see Eric Johnson at the Jazz Jam for his birthday. Since this was a special occasion, I wanted to stay in a special place. Luckily I found the Magnolia Inn on Main. It was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The rooms were clean and charming, the hospitality welcoming, and the food fantastic. We are still talking about Paula's breakfasts. The location is perfect for spending a day browsing in the downtown shops, and taking a relaxing walk by the river. I am looking forward to spending my birthday in Bastrop at the Magnolia Inn.

    What a great place to stay! The old place has been beautifully remodeled and the rooms are comfortable and accomodating. The sun-room in our suite was great. The Breakfast a perfect blend of healthy and decadence. With snacks and beverages available throughout the day---this was like being at home. Paula was a great host and made our anniversary stay--one to remember.

    The Magnolia Inn on Main is a fantastic inn, renovated with TLC to retain its old world charm while offering modern conveniences. I have stayed in both the Hollywood Suite and the Jazz Suite, which both offered luxury linens and wonderfully comfortable beds. Just a short stroll to downtown made the location a perfect spot for seeing the sites of histroic Bastrop. The innkeepers Paula and Julie really made me feel welcome with their complimentary social hour and delicious cooked to order breakfast. To top off the experience, I enjoyed a rejuvenating massage from Paula. I left after my visits refreshed and ready to return as soon as I could.
