Blue Buffalo B&B is a lovely place to stay if you like peace, quiet, delicious food and friendly people! The house is beautiful and everything is extremely clean and well kept. The hosts were wonderful and stayed up late (11pm!) until we came in. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area overlooks Lake Travis - simply breathtaking. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for the weekend around Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We arrived here around 7 when it's dark. Cathy is nice and stay outside to wait for us in case we are lost in the quiet and beautiful road near the lake. It's our first time to stay in a B&B. But the experience was great. They kept clean all around the house and the scene at night from their balcony kept in our memory up till now. They are friendly couple and would inspire you in a lot of ways. We had delicious breakfast in the morning. Take a walk around the lake and it's just beautiful in and out the house.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Blue Buffalo B&B from Dec 31st –Jan 2nd. To say that my time spent here with my boyfriend for our anniversary was anything short of relaxing and amazing would be an understatement. I did not feel out of place in Dan & Cathy’s home from the moment I stepped foot into their home, and they were extremely helpful in offering places for us to eat in the area that evening since we had arrived a bit late (and on the tail end of a holiday at that). We stayed in the Buffalo room, and I can honestly say that the pictures online do not do justice to the beautiful room and the view from the patio. Since we arrived on New Year’s Eve, we were able to watch the fireworks from the comforts of our room without having to brave the cold weather waiting for us outside. The view was EVEN better once the sun rose the next morning and provided a wonderful backdrop for our stay by Lake Travis. My favorite part of the stay however, was definitely the breakfast. It was light, but very filling, and Cathy’s French toast is what dreams are made of! I was utterly shocked when she mentioned that it was still a work in progress, and I definitely plan on visiting again to see how the improvements taste! Cathy and Dan also provided excellent company, and I also enjoyed hearing about their past work. My boyfriend and I were also surprised to find out that they have only been running the B&B for a few months, because I have to say that they are absolute pros! I have stayed at hotels in the past (and spent a bit to stay there) and I have never had service as personable as that provided by Dan and Cathy. We will definitely be back, and hopefully when it’s a little warmer so that we can take full advantage of the lake. I highly recommend this B&B for anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing stay in Austin that isn't tarnished by the hustle and bustle of city life. This was definitely the reset I need to start the New Year off right! Thanks Cathy & Dan!

I'm not one to gush or be overly enthusiastic but everything about my stay was absolutely perfect. This cozy B&B is right outside of Austin on a beautiful lake - it's so peaceful & relaxing with beautiful views from every room. Cathy & Dan were amazing hosts - breakfast both mornings was phenomenal & they took extra good care of me (I was sick during my stay). I fell in love with them & their sweet yellow lab - I will stay in touch & consider them lifelong friends. Whether on a business trip, visiting Austin for fun, or in need of a relaxing weekend away, you honestly can't beat this place!!

Blue Buffalo was my first time staying at a B&B. We chose this place after having trouble booking a hotel for a reasonable price the weekend of Formula One racing. I was a little concerned because the place had no reviews tlbut that's just because it only opened recently. The house was lovely and the room had everything we needed including a small refrigerator with water and free wifi, not even all hotels have those in a regular room. The bathroom was spacious and the balcony had a view of Lake Travis. The best part though were the owners, Cathy and Dan. They were extremely friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast. Cathy was very helpful when we asked for assistance planning activities. She told us where we can rent boats, go hiking, and find a Saturday Church service. They are both excellent cooks. We had a delicious breakfast both morning that kept us full till dinnertime. In the end, I was glad the whole hotel thing didn't work out because the weekend just would not have been as perfect if we stayed anywhere else.
