In the old beautiful castle of Ripa d'Orcia (XIII sec.), set upon a rise in the centre of Orcia valley there is nowadays a comfortable country Residence with rooms and apartments ideal for relaxing stays. Ripa d'Orcia, an architectural complex which has survived virtually unchanged, offers to his guest and visitors hospitality. In the historic houses which have comprised the Borgo, from 1990 there are six comfortable and charming double bedrooms with private bathroom/shower, breakfast, rustic tuscan furniture and seven large self-catering apartments with their own cooking facilities which can sleep 2 or 4 people for longer (one week) and indipendent stays. Inside the walled enclosure gardens, public telephone, panoramic terrace, and an original common reading room with fireplace, games and books are available. Lastly the dining room with wood tables covered with cherry checked cloths, where breakfast and dinners are served using home-grown products.
