    "Villa La Sosta" is situated in the most charming residential area around Florence. It is surrounded by large gardens with cypress and fruit trees; the building itself is elegant and sober, enriched by architectural elements recalling the eclectic style of the beginning of the 1900s, like the main bow-window entrance and the tower-mansard which gives a view of the surrounding hillside. Fantoni brother and sister, have decided to use a part of this family villa, which dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, as a high class Bed and Breakfast. Furnished with period pieces from the 1800s. Independent entrance. The continental breakfast is served in the spacious and elegant hall in colder months and in the garden, under an ivy pergola, in the summer. There is also a billiard room and a suggestive and panoramic windowed attic where guests can relax, read, play cards, watch television or listen to music. Bookings for the Uffizi Gallery, Accademy Gallery and Palatina Gallery made free of charge. Informed suggestions on what to see and do in and around Florence. We are glad to arrange for our guests a family day in the wine country (see our specials).       From the railway station Firenze S.M.N. take nr. 25 bus. Get off at the bus stop about 800 metres after Via Bolognese begins, just after the Fina petrol station: "Villa La Sosta" is on the left hand side and is recognisable by its wide cast iron gates. If you come off the motorway at Firenze Nord/Firenze Sud follow the road signs for Viali di Circonvallazione/Centro and go towards Piazza della Libertà. Once there follow the signs for Via Bolognese.

    Very nice people, fantastic acommodation, great facilities, lots of room. Absolutely everything provided, tea, coffee, wine glasses, fridge, cutlery. Great internet free of charge, warm, cosy and easy to get to. Faultless!

    Villa La Sosta is a wonderful place and innkeepers Antonio and Giusy are the best. They are warm, welcoming, and most willing to share their stories of life in Italy. Our first trip to Villa La Sosta in 2007 was so much fun we returned for another week in 2008. Plan to stay for several days and be sure to go on a wine tour with Antonio...

    Our hosts at Villa La Sosta were the best around. They were very helpful in many areas. Finding good places to dine, reserving museum tickets, organizing wine tour. You name it they helped. With 9 women in our group it was no easy keeping up with us. I would recommend Villa La Sosta for hospitality as well as location. If I ever get back to Florence, I know were I will be staying.

    The Villa which is surrounded by beautiful gardens is just 10 minutes from all the main sites, but after a long day of sight seeing and the hustle and bustle of Florence it's a wonderful place to return too and relax. Giusy and Antonio can't do enough to help you and the Villa is wonderful, clean, spacious and with WiFi and all other mod cons what more could you want! When we return to Florence we'll be coming back to Villa La Sosta.

    Perfect place. Really interesting Villa. Clean and comfortable. Toni could not have done enough for us. Across the road from NYU's La Pietra where our daughter is studying for the year. Really a true Italian experience.
