Please take our suggestion to stay at the Kuleli Kosk B & B on the Isle of Heybeliada. The hosts are kind, generous, and thoughtful people. The breakfasts, served on a patio with a sweeping view of the sea, were a delicious, light-fare that included the season’s local fruits and vegetables and an array of cheeses, coffee and juice. Our room was exquisitely decorated, and the facilities were modern and clean. It would be remiss for me not to speak specifically about the ways in which our hosts ensured our memorable, pleasant stay: they translated for us; served as tour guides when we requested; exchanged currency when banks would not; and escorted us, with luggage, back to Ataturk Airport en route to the United States. Go in October for leisurely walking and for wonderful ferry rides across the strait to and from Istanbul and Prince Island. Audrey and Sharon

Kuleli Kosk is a lovely mansion overlooking beautiful island, forest and the Marmara Sea and full of everything you might need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Ilhami and Johanna provide a very warm welcome and if you do decide to opt for the additional breakfast brought round to the historical mansion, we can highly recommend it as Johanna is an excellent cook and it is always delicious! The mansion is spotlessly clean and tidy, a real home home from. We love it so much we are going back in June for the second time in less than a year! Anique

Hi, I am from Prague. We, my wife and I, had a 2 day stay at Kuleli Kosk. It is a palace-like mansion on a wonderful Prince Island in Istanbul. Our room was very nice, a large and romantically furnished room (Green Room) with two balconies overlooking another Prince Island, the forest as well as Istanbul and the Marmara Sea. The owners were exceptional, nothing was a problem. Our room was 110 Euro for two including delicious breakfast with mostly homemade food, The sea view from our room was magnificent, A morning walk on the beach or in the forest was very relaxing.

Hi, This was the third time that we have been to Turkey. This time we stayed on Heybeliada in Istanbul in a wonderful Greco-Ottoman wooden 'kösk' owned by a Swedish-Turkish couple working at some university. I have heard about them and the place from a friend of mine in Sweden. They are very friendly and speak several languages. Last but not least, every inch of their house has a stunning sea view and the pine forest starts already from the garden! Cheer A.
