Sumengen Hotel is an old Ottoman House renewed in 1987 and converted into a charming hotel. Our hotel situated on truly excellent location and surrounded by all major historical and cultural sight in heart of Sultanahmet area.
The hotel terrace and breakfast saloon has a panoramic view of the bosphorus the sea of Marmara and Asian side of Istanbul. After breakfast when dear guest try to visit historical peninsula they will find themself in history in a few minutes at walking distance.

Transporation is very easy with tram from Sultanahmet main street. If guest wants to walk; they will arrive by walk Grand Bazaar in 18 minutes If they want to use tram they have to get off at second stop from sultanahmet for to visit 4000 shop aboute selling antique jewellery, gold, carpet,leather and souvenir .
Istanbul Ataturk Airport is 18 kilometres away and takes approximately 20 minutes to reach by car. Also the guest can use tram for to reach metro line to go to Ataturk Airport.
The property was 33 rooms before after renovation have only 25 rooms.The new rooms are becomes larger than before and well designed with respect to the history and traditions of the region, with Ottoman style furniture. We arrange also Family rooms and those are large enough and sperated conveniently to accomodate the parrents with children.
