The Best B&B Breakfast Tournament: 2013

B&Bs are known for their delectable, gourmet breakfasts. After all, breakfast is half of the name!

This spring, we held the second annual breakfast recipe contest on our Facebook page. The Best B&B Breakfast Tournament contest worked in brackets, much like the NCAA Basketball®’s March Madness®. From March 25-April 8, our Facebook fans voted in the head-to-head match-ups each day until the final winning dish was chosen.

The 2013 BedandBreakfast.com Best B&B Breakfast is Lemon Soufflé Pancakes with Blueberry Compote from the 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor Bed and Breakfast.  BedandBreakfast.com’s Facebook® fans selected the Carolina Plantation Breakfast Bake from Birchwood Inn in Lenox, Massachusetts, as its savory favorite, coming in second during the final match-up. 

Here are this year's 16 finalists, which were narrowed down with the help of guest judges Anne Banas from Smarter Travel, Susannah Chen from PopSugar.com, and Adrien Glover from Travel + Leisure.

Lemon Souffle Pancakes

This recipe adds some fluff and fruity flavor to the traditional pancake. Lemon Curd and Hot Blueberry Dutch Babies

Los Poblanos Shakshouka
