La Residenza dello Scoiattolo is in the middle of the Anzasca Valley, a little more than 10 kilometers from Macugnaga. It is on the slopes of Monte Rosa, the widest and highest in the Alps. It’s an ideal place for winter sports, such as alpine and cross country skiing, but also ice skating and other less traditional sports such as telemark skiing, snowboarding, or heliskiing.

The inn is surrounded by the 2 million acre Gallatin National Forest, and it is the closest accommodations to Bridger Bowl Ski Area (less than one mile), Bohart Ranch Cross Country Ski Center, and numerous National Forest Access sites. In the evening, watch the stars above the snow-capped Bridger range, dip in the outdoor hot tub, or mingle with other guests in front of the fireplace.

It’s a convenient half a block from the inn to the free shuttle stop that takes you to the mountain base. Crested Butte has Nordic and backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, ice fishing, and snow shoeing. There are over a thousand acres of ski terrain in the area. The B&B has unobstructed views of Mount Crested Butte and secure indoor ski storage.

This luxurious, five-guestroom log home is as beautiful and inviting as its backdrop, the legendary Grand Teton mountain range. The inn is six miles from the world famous Jackson Hole Ski Area at Teton Village and the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park. Every guest room has a personal fireplace that you can use to warm up after a day on the slopes.

The Leavenworth Lake Wenatchee area where this inn resides has skiing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding available. At the end of the day, take a dinner sleigh ride through downtown Leavenworth. You can also simply curl up with a cup of hot cocoa in your suite. The inn offers several ski packages that include lift tickets and ski rentals.
