Prow'd House patio where breakfast is served in fine weather. While you relax you will be visited by humming birds, cardinals, scrub jays, titmouse, chickadee's and the occasional painted bunting.
Main house living room available at any time for our guests to visit with each other or just relax.
This is the "Angelique" room and is a typical example of the way in which we have furnished our rooms. However, each room is totaly different and our home website contains photographs of every room so that choosing the room that suits your individual taste could not be easier.
The suite living room that is located upstairs in the cottage (see main picture) with it's own private entrance, deck and fireplace for those cool evenings when a good book and a glass of wine is all you need to help soak up the relaxing atmosphere.

We wish to invite you to stay at our "Prow'd House". It is a beautiful example of a "Lindal Cedar Home" with a cedar lined towering cathedral ceiling and huge prow windows that open up a panarama of Hill Country views. There are two guest bedrooms in the main house, one with a private spa and each has a queen bed, private full bathroom, television, coffe pot, hair dryer and private patio. A second "cottage" in the same style and equipped to the same luxory standard is alongside the main house and has a shared spa and three guest bedrooms on the first floor. One room has two full sized beds. A suite is located on the second floor that includes a lounge with it's own balcony, where the views of the sunrise will take your breath away, a fireplace and kitchenette. The bedroom, with king sized bed and private bathroom, round off this perfect suite for that special occasion. All of our guests will enjoy a full country breakfast served in the main dining room, or, weather permitting on the patio.

My husband and I were making our plans for a weekend away to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. We have friends and family who live in the Hill Country and thought Wimberley would be the ideal place to stay. So, we Googled B&B's in Wimberley and came across Prow'd House. It sounded absolutely perfect for us. Peace, quiet and relaxation. Dave and Donna were the perfect hosts and made our weekend so very memorable. They are super, super folks. I'm planning a weekend getaway to include my brothers and sisters-in-law for next year. Prow'd House will definitely be the place to stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thanks for the memories!

What a fabulous time we had at Prow'd House. It so surpassed anything we had dared hope for. Naturally, I packed our robes thinking that only in the finest hotel would they provide a robe. When we got there, we had these luxurious robes hanging in the closet. Each bedroom had it's own bath. I had been longing for a swing where I could just sit and watch the grass grow and look at nature and the birds. Wouldn't you know it, they provided each bedroom with it's own porch swing. They even had a hot tub for those of us so inclined. The rooms were homey, and the beds were so comfortable. They also provided extra pillows. As if all of this was not enough, every morning they provided the most wonderful breakfast. Many mornings we had homemade bread of some kind. All the guest met at the same time for breakfast. We had so much fun visiting with the other guest, most mornings ran well over 2 hours just sitting and visiting. We were even asked our opinion if we liked what they were planning to serve. One morning Donna made biscuits again for me, just because I loved them so much. We stayed with Dave and Donna for 9 days. We found them to be the warmest host. We felt so blessed to find the Prow'd House. I hope if you are planning to stay in the heart of Texas, you will treat yourself to this wonderful experience. Dave and Donna we miss you. No shows, shortening the length of stay and early departures will be charged the full amount of any reservation.

The hosts were gracious and very helpful. They also accommodated all of our different schedules. The breakfasts were wonderful. Stayed in a detached building on the property with our own living space too. Friendly dogs.

This was our first time to a bed and breakfast and let me tell you it well exceeded any expectations we had! Donna and Dave were warm, inviting and very accommodating. There are tons of things to do through the week or even just a weekend. I would reccomend the prow'd house and plan to bring the whole family next stay! Oh And the breakfast is to die for! My husband and I had a delightful stay. The Prow'd House is what a Bed & Breakfast should be. Our room and the main house were exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We especially enjoyed the breakfast served on Saturday - morning glory muffins, egg casserole with ham, biscuits, potatoes, orange juice, and coffee. The Bed & Breakfast was full with guests, so we had a wonderful time talking with other guests both mornings.

Leave downtown Wimberley on RR 3237 and drive 2 miles towards Kyle. Turn right on "Smith Creek Road", then turn first right on Rocky Springs Road and up the short steep hill. At the top there is a single story house on the left and the road curves to the left. At this point leave the road and take the easment on the right side that continues further up the hill for about 1/4 of a mile until you meet two gates. Take the right gate and follow the road around to the Prow'd House. Directions with photographs can be found on our web sight. .prowdhouse

Directions to property:
Leave the airport and go west on highway 71, towards Austin, until you come to I-35. Go south on I-35 and take the Kyle exit RR 150 after about 15 miles. Go west on RR 150 until this road swings to the right and RR 3237 goes straight ahead. A Diamond Shamrock gas station is on one corner. Follow RR 3237 for about 7 miles until you come to Rocky Springs Road on the left side. Turn on Rocky Springs and then turn left on Smith Creek Road and from here the directions are the same as above.
