We haven't been back in 21 years(!) and the lodge has gone through a couple of others owners since, but the incredible charm of the place is still there. We're hoping it won't be another 21 years until we're back again. Thank You!

It's always a pleasure to stay at Utopia on the River. Wonderfully friendly people, beautiful grounds, nice clean rooms and a truly outstanding breakfast. We've stayed several times and look forward to several more.

My wife and I wanted to stay someplace away from the beaten track for our 43rd anniversary. When we arrived we fell in love with the place. Food and service were great. We explored the grounds and small interspersed towns and parks nearby. The staff and owners were very friendly. We would definitely come again and we may do so in March as the flowers come out.

Terrific low key location to relax. Easy short drive to Lost Maples for hiking and to see the fall leaves.

This was our second time staying at Utopia on the River. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenery and hospitality. We stayed during Thanksgiving and were blown away by the Thanksgiving meal they served. The room are clean and comfortable. You won't find any place as hospitable as the Utopia on the River.

This is really a great place. A mix of your chain motels with a more personal touch. Really liked the location set back off the highway. Grounds and views were very nice. Deer and other wildlife roam all around the site.Rooms very comfortable aside from mini-fridge noise. Shower a little tight for a big person and the sink and toilet needed a little TLC. Overall a nice room. Service was top notch couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was excellent. Will defiantly stay here again when in the area.

We came to visit Lost Maples and decided to stay at Utopia on the River since it's a 20 minute drive away. We arrived late, a little past midnight, but Cheryl, the innkeeper, was there to hand us the keys and be so kind and warm. In the morning, we could get a view of the woods and the deer that were out there. Truly a special sight. Breakfast was great, southern cooking in cold weather is always a winning combination. We couldn't get enough of the peaches. And again Cheryl was there to chat with us and be just so friendly and family-centered. We enjoyed our stay even though it was short. I'll definitely be back and relax a bit more next time.

Relaxing place to rest after a long day. It is nice to see the deer enjoying their home. Breakfast was great. Coffee, too.
