We are Tyler's oldest B&B, and the closest lodging facility to historic downtown Tyler. An 1859 Tyler Historic Landmark, the Manor is a restored Queen Anne Victorian home. The house is set back on a large corner lot surrounded by brick streets and many mature shade trees. There is a Koi pond in the relaxing Rear Garden along with a gazebo, wishing well, and large back deck. The main house has original oak and heart-of-pine wood floors, wood moulding, and gorgeous stained-glass windows. All 7 rooms have private baths, some featuring claw-foot tubs. Additional features in some rooms include king or queen-size beds, fireplaces, private balconies or porches. One of the rooms is a private carriage house for that home-away-from-home feeling. A delicious breakfast is served daily on china, crystal and silver in the formal dining room. The Woldert-Spence Manor is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, or any special occasion! Also ask about our whole house rate for family reunions, retreats or group getaways. We are just minutes from many attractions including Tyler's Rose Garden, fine dining, antique stores, Tyler State Park, and more. There is something for everyone to enjoy while in Tyler! Visit our web site for a sampling of current area events to enjoy during your stay.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon during our stay. The manor was beautifully decorated and well kept. The innkeeper Barbara was very accommodating and provided us with a delicious breakfast the next morning. She also presented us with a congratulatory wedding gift. It was beautiful and very thoughtful. We will be returning again in the future.

The Woldert-Spence Manor was the perfect location to host our reunion. The rooms are comfortable, the food is scrumptious, and our hosts Mike and Barbara accommodated our morning schedule so we could enjoy the Rose Fest parade!

Mike and Barbara were perfect hosts! They were accomodating of our different dietary needs; gracious and friendly; and made our stay more of a retreat in a hotel. The bed we had felt as comfortable as our home bed does! The Manor is so full of history and beauty. We travel a lot, and didn't know how much a bed and breakfast could add to our experience. We visited some wineries in the area, and the location was central to them. Excellent time and a gorgeous area of Texas!

very nice B and B in a historic 19th century house. Room was very comfy, bed was excellent. Slight issue with what I think was a poorly venting drain in shower. Other than that, the room was great. Breakfast was very good. I am more of a "savory" breakfast fan, and there was 2 "sweet" dishes, but they were good..All in all, highly recommended.
We appreciate your kind words; and the constructive feedback on your recent stay with us. We believe the odor issue was a remnant from the city's recent water treatment, as it has resolved itself as quickly and mysteriously as it appeared. We are also more mindful of ensuring that breakfasts attain a balance of flavors each morning that will satisfy everyone without repeating a "sweet" emphasis on two consecutive mornings. Thank you for choosing to stay with us!

This is a beautiful 1859 B and B. We especially loved the stained glass around the doors and windows. Our bedroom had a fireplace which was quite romantic. The location was quiet and we were able to walk around the neighborhood without problems. Several good restaurants are close by.

We just wanted to get away for the weekend and relax. This was the perfect weekend. Our innkeeper gave us such good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She was also very personable.
