Auberge "La Grange"

My parents and I stayed at this B&B last week and we were very impressed with everything. Lauren is a great cook and our meals every morning were fantastic and made to our special needs. Mark and Lauren are excellent hosts and went over and above to make our stay special. Mark even pulled out the old bicycle tractor and started it up for us. If you are planning a trip to smithville, this is the place you want to stay without a doubt. highest of marks to the hosts. thank you for taking care of us so well!

I would like to keep this place my little secret -- but many, many people have already discovered it -- and like everyone before me says -- it is the most AWESOME b and b ever. Lauren and Mark are awesome. I feel like I have made a connection. I will be coming back. (Hint -- if you breakfast here, might as well plan on skipping lunch!)

Due to the wildfires in the area, all the hotel rooms in the area were booked, so I started to look at other lodging options and WOW, I'm glad I did. This will now be our first choice for our next visit! Our hosts were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make sure our gluten-free diet request was taken care of for breakfast. Lauren and Mark have just earned themselves repeat customers.

We were going to Smithville for some friends' wedding and wanted to stay overnight. We found Auberge here on bedandbreakfast.com and it looked nice and was within our price range. We got there a little early but were quickly accommodated. The room was simple and clean and shortly after we were settled in, Mark brought us some of Lauren's delicious cookies, hot out of the oven! After we returned from our event, we fell into the comfortable bed and actually overslept and almost missed breakfast! But our ever gracious hosts didn't bat an eye and quickly whipped up some more food! Everything was very tasty, but we were especially impressed with the sausage made right there in Smithville - absolutely delicious! We recommend Auberge for any low key getaways in the relaxing Smithville area!

"Aubird Lagrain" is whay my two year old called it. My two year old and I went to Smithville for my oldest son's high school homecoming football game. Being less than two weeks after the wildfires in Bastrop, this was a little piece of paradise. Beautiful landscaping, quiet (especially for being right on the main street - making it very easy to find and get back to at night) and relaxing. My two year old loved playing in the fountains and yard with Oreo and picking all Miss Lauren's flowers. The breakfasts were amazing - and made to order. Mark and Lauren obviously take pride in and enjoy what they do - they were wonderful! I'm definitely going back next year when my son graduates - Go Tigers!

This Smithville, Texas Bed and Breakfast is a sactuary. Its better than home away from home because of the innkeepers/host of the Auberge La Grange Bed & Breakfast (Mark and Lauren) are so respectful of your privacy and welcome you with the warmest heart into their home with the biggest heart of service I've ever experienced through their delicious custom made food made to your specific taste, the rooms are soo sweet, the pool is delightful, but the best and MOST MEMORIABLE reason is the life-long friendship I have with Lauren and Mark. They are the absolute best and dearest friends.. (We met when i stayed here while shooting the movie "Doonby" for 6 weeks in 2010 - and we stayed in touch, Then when i arrived the other day for a special screening of the movie... Lauren and Mark through me a surprise celebration reuinon party.. it nearly made me cry bc how much they valued our friendship... it was soooooooo much fun and the memories will last for a lifetime bc of who these delightful people are.)

We recently stayed at Auberge "La Grange" and were impressed with the friendliness of the proprietors, who truly made our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If by chance we find ourselves in Smithville again, we would not hesitate to book out room here again.

The rooms are very nice and clean; great night's sleep. Breakfast is fit for a king. The pool is very relaxing. The hosts are very accomodating to us and our son. We plan on returning asap.

We had an AMAZING stay at this lovely B&B. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms clean and very nice, the food awesome. Alone, these characteristics would bring us back, yet the hosts are what make this place outstanding! We will be back!

My family and I have stayed at Auberge La Grange three times and have never been disappointed. In fact, it keeps getting better and better. Charming rooms and grounds, VERY comfortable beds, and the most delicious, fresh, homemade breakfasts I've ever eaten. Our kids are city dwellers (one is a teenager), and they look forward to going to Smithville and staying at "the Auberge." It captures the quaintness and beauty of a small town, and the whole family savors the slow pace and the opportunity to just spend time together in peace and comfort. We stayed two nights in May. We got one of the "simple" rooms and it was larger then we expected, with a lounge chair. And I really enjoyed having a private entrance. Lauren and Mark went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and their breakfasts were very, very yummy!

We stayed in one of the lower priced rooms, and it was basic, as expected, but clean and comfortable. Smithville was a lovely quiet setting for getting away from our busy lives and resting. The breakfast at Auberge was fabulous! Mark and Lauren are very friendly, welcoming innkeepers.

The people were incrediably friendly and made our stay enjoyable and relaxed. The food was good and the conversation was pleasant as well. We plan to go again and bring friends.

This was an excellent B&B! We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next stay here! We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

This B&B is one of the best I have visited. The accomodation was very comforatable. But the best thing was warmth and care from the hostess and host. They were charming and considerate. Excellent food too!!!

We found this Auberge La Grange by chance and the choice proved to be just what we needed to start out our vacation. The garden and pool added to the enjoyment of the stay. Lauren and Mark were excellent hosts and we were made to feel very welcome. A definite retreat from the big city and a definite return is in order.

I was expecting something great and i was not disappointed, the B & B went over the top in all areas. the Host were more than accomadating. the peace and hominess of this B & B was just what i needed. i will be back..and i will point friends to this most fantastic get-a-way....

Having stayed in smithville for 4 months, i fell in love with this quaint little city. (I hope it remains a secret hide away) I dearly my stay with Lauren and Mark , they are the perfect host and hostess. Our stay included time around the pool and in the garden. The rooms are lovely , the surroundings are great. We loved our stay, and will certainly recommend it to anyone. I will be Back!!!

For the past couple of years our daughter and son-in law and their family along with my husband and I have started the tradition of coming here over the New Years holiday. Marc and Laren have made our times there very enjoyable, and we have already made plans for this next one.

We stayed May 24th through May 30th 2008. It was like staying with family. Lauren & Mark were the greatest hosts We would recommend this B&B to anyone that wants to be treated like family. We will stay there again, for sure.

Mark and Lauren are the most hospitable inn keepers. Beautiful landscaping and such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The rooms are beautiful and all very unique.
