The Mosheim Mansion is a magnificent Victorian jewel nestled in Seguin's downtown historic district. Although it was the city's first home to have electricity and indoor plumbing, it now boasts suites with private baths, whirlpools and fireplaces. The stunning staircases, exquisite antiques and meticulously landscaped grounds make the Mosheim an unforgettable setting for a special getaway, wedding, or corporate event. 19th Century chandeliers, stained glass, spectacular fireplaces, the original unpainted woodwork and even a zinc-lined bourbon safe grace the interior of this historic landmark. The pictures did not do our room or the house itself any justice. We went not expecting very much and were blown away. The house is amazing, charming, and oozing history from its pores. Everything is nicely decorated and updated very well. The food and dining room was very good. The hot tub that was in the room was actually a nice sized hot tub for two and not just a bath tub with jets. The staff was great! They were very friendly and helpful, very personable and a pleasure to interact with. They have rescue dogs here. The dogs are adorable and sweet but people with allergies may want to stay away depending on how sensitive you are. Animal lovers, on the other hand, will enjoy this added charm.

Charming location and fabulous innkeepers!! We were treated like long lost friends, fed gourmet meals and were totally pampered. Would recommend this to all who want an eclectic experience in a quaint setting. Carol can handle anything!! And, if you are lucky enough to meet Bob, he completes the package perfectly.

My sister and I stayed when we were going to our family reunion. Carol and her husband were so friendly and fun. Carol's breakfasts are so good especially her German Pancakes! They are awesome! We loved the decorations and the way the house felt like a home and not a hotel. Can't wait until reunion next year to get some more of Carol's pancakes!

The house is nice and quiet with large rooms. The breakfast was great and the location was easy to get too. The family that owns the house are very friendly and great host. Seguin is not a big town, but it is close enough to other areas so that you can get in and out with ease.

European style baked omelette with guyere cheese
Influenced by my Swiss heritage, this dish falls somewhere between a conventional omelet and a souffle. It may include vegetables of your choosing bacon and a dash of nutmeg. It is topped with guyere or raclette cheese and baked until golden. It is accompanied by rosemary potatoes, fresh fruit and delicious hearty breads.
