Mosheim Mansion

The house is nice and quiet with large rooms. The breakfast was great and the location was easy to get too. The family that owns the house are very friendly and great host. Seguin is not a big town, but it is close enough to other areas so that you can get in and out with ease.

For unanticipated reasons, I needed to stay in Seguin for several days and wanted a comforting place to stay. The Mosheim Mansion fit the bill. Beautifully furnished and with a soothing glass of wine always available, it was a welcome sight at the end of a stressful day. The owners are delightful and the made-to-order breakfast was delicious. Downtown businesses were in walking distance. I would recommend this property to anyone; however, there are dogs present and while they are not within reach of the guests, it may be a problem if you are allergic.

Not only were our hosts very hospitable but the accomadations were excellent. We look forward to returning for another stay.

This was my first time visiting a Bed & Breakfast, therefore I was completely oblivious to the whole B&B experience. That did not last long as Tabitha answered every tedious question I had! She demonstrated sincere patience with genuine concern, taking initiative to educate me with small details that would ultimately make my stay PERFECT!!! She even ran to the store for me!! I stayed in the Grand Suite and would highly recommend it!! If you’re contemplating it—just do it!! Well worth it!!! I opted for ‘in-room breakfast’ and again Tabitha catered to my every need!! The picturesque breakfast included AMAZING baked German apple pancakes, French toast to die for, fresh fruit, delicious coffee, eggs, and bacon!! The Grand Suite at Mosheim has set the par for me when it comes to B&B’s and I cannot imagine a room without a whirlpool!!

My husband surprised me with a stay at Mosheim...and it was so much more than just a B&B...The owners, Bob and Carol are delightful and have the perfect dispositions for their roles. They are available when you need them and to the extent that you desire time to visit , learn about the history or anything else. The breakfast was amazing and tailored to our interests. We have decided to spend our Thanksgiving there with our family this year and anticipate this to be a recurring place to enjoy vacations through the years.

The Innkeepers, the breakfast, the hospitality, absolutely wonderful. Love the history of this Mansion. We felt so at home here during our stay. Highly, highly recommend.

Made a last minute reservation for us to stay during my daughter's softball tournament in Seguin. Was pleased when I got there and it looked just like it did in the photos. Outstanding in every way. Everyone was so friendly and the food was great. At breakfast I just kept thinking the rest of the softball team was back at the hotel eating fruit loops out of a styrofoam bowl, and we were having German pancakes with fresh fruit and fresh orange juice in a beautiful dining room with china and linens.

We stayed for three days in April. Carol & Bob are friendly hosts, the rooms was great (antiques, canopy bed, double jetted tub for two with candles, great glass shower). The breakfasts were very, very good...and, if you are a dog lover as we are, Carol's dogs will lift you up..although they are out of the way unless you ask to meet them. We travel a lot...the mansion was a great warm up for the next four nights on the Riverwalk....Seguin isn't San Antone..but than again, no place is quite like the Mosheim Mansion.

We went for spring break 2011. We have stayed in many many B and B's before. This place was one of our top B and B's. Carol, the owner, goes out of her way to make you feel "at home" . Most restaraunts can not contend with her breakfast. The suites were beautiful and very relaxing. The mansion was built in 1894 and has so much history and character. If you want an experince, come to this place. We will be back!!

This wonderful house has a little of the old and a little of the new. All the rooms are chock-full of gorgeous Victorian antiques but with all the modern conveniences. The newer wing of the house has romantic rooms with whirlpool tubs in the room, lush, rich linens, and plenty of privacy. In the older part of the house - where I stayed for several weeks while working in the area - is like stepping back in time. Beautiful deep colors, heavy wood moldings, fine quality period furniture, fireplaces, luxurious beds. If you can't tell, I love this place. However, the best part of the house is the owner, Carol. She's one of the best cooks I've ever known and has made it a point to include me during my lengthy stay. She goes a mile a minute, is witty and personable, and is a treasure trove of local information. On top of it all, she's into rescue dogs from the animal pound and getting them adopted. So, every day there is one or two new visiting dogs. Don't worry, she keeps them in her part of the house so they won't bother you. This has been an outstanding experience. (Don't forget to share a glass of wine with Carol!)

The room was absolutely beautiful, I don’t know how I will return to a life without the whirlpool bath. Carol and Bob were wonderful hosts and the food was delicious. Met with all of Carol’s sweet puppies and even adopted one of her rescue dogs. If you are looking for a place for a relaxing getaway look no further!

My husband and I stayed at the Mosheim Mansion during a trip to Texas from Ohio. I had never been to a B&B and always wanted to stay in one. It exceeded my expectations! Carol and her husband were the perfect hosts. We were directed to a local restaurant, a tiny place with wonderful BBQ, that we may have otherwise passed up. She also invited us to raid her fridge for low-carb snacks if we so desired and to browse the mansion, to enjoy the antiques and collectibles. The place is beautiful inside and out. The room was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and had fresh stargazer lilies which she had placed just before we arrived. The bed and linens were so comfortable and the whirlpool was a dream! The towels were oh-so plush and all the extra little touches were quaint and really made the stay a pleasure. It was very quiet, as though we were the only ones in the home. We didn't hear even a peep from the other guests. And the coffee tray at our door the following morning was a much appreciated touch. Breakfast was delicious. My husband and I are on a low-carb diet, and I really didn't expect too much, but I was SO wrong. We enjoyed southern pecan flavored coffee while Carol made the most delicious low-carb frittata I have ever tasted. Perfectly cooked and beautifully served. We ate until we were absolutely stuffed! Carol was friendly and spent a good deal of time chatting with us before breakfast, while she cooked, and while I played with the doggies! During the meal, we had a nice conversation in the beautiful dining area, with her husband as well. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed our stay with Carol and her husband. We were made to feel comfortable and at home, yet it also felt private and romantic at the same time. I almost hated to leave... It was a memorable stay and one I will not forget. We are talking about returning around the holidays to spend a few nights and enjoy the Christmas spirit and decorations!

We had a fantastic time. The food was wonderful and the hospitality was just perfect. My daughter and I loved the sweet puppies and can't wait to come back next year.

Only a one night stay, but wonderful hosts, great service, incredible food and delightful conversations.

Our stay at the Mosheim Mansion was just what we needed!! Upon our arrival, we were offered a glass of wine and they apologized for the noise as they were rehearsing for an upcoming charity play to raise money to restore the local theatre. The play was about an Irish wake, but we didn't notice the noise as we went sightseeing instead. Our room was upgraded to the Grand Suite for some reason. It was fabulous!! The accommodations were wonderful... complete with candles and Jacuzzi. It was the perfect romantic getaway! I can't say enough about Carol. She was the hostess with the mostest! She is a super sweet lady and a fantastic cook! The German pancakes were superb. I didn't tell Carol till we were leaving, that we were there to get away from reality and regroup after losing our daughter. We didn't want any special attention or awkwardness. We could not have possibly been in a more perfect place at that time. Even the "Irish Wake" made us feel at home!

My fiance stayed at the Mosheim Mansion for Memorial Day Weekend 2010. The Mansion is beautiful, comfortable, quite and it felt like a home away from home. The Owner's Bob and Carol are very personable and relaxed. We and the other guests stood around Carol's kitchen island in the morning drink the best coffee and talked while she cooked breakfast and chatted with us. The B&B is very clean and in a quite area. High thread count sheets and comfortable clean mattresses made for a good night sleep. The breakfast was amazing. Thank you Bob and Carol! Bobby & Sarah

My friend and I stayed at the Mosheim Mansion when I came to visit from Connecticut in April and it was by far the best Bed and Breakfast I have stayed at. Carol (the owner) was so warm and welcoming, the food was great and the room comfortable and very clean. Carol even gave my friend and I a costume to use when taking pictures of her lovely home!! We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast, cozy rooms, incredible jacuzzi, and such a friendly host! The only complaint would be the guests staying next to our room were rather loud and kept us up part of the night, but other than that it was a great getaway and so close to town too! Make sure you book the Seguin Room since that one has the best jacuzzi!

My husband and I spent our first anniversary at the Mosheim Mansion. If you're looking for a quiet, romatic stay, this is a great option. Carol was incredibly warm and accommodating, room was really nice, and the breakfast was excellent.

Thank you for putting us all in the Christmas spirit! The roaring fireplace, relaxing Christmas music and beautiful decorations filled us all with Christmas Cheer!

The room was beautiful. We had a "memory foam" mattress so I slept like the dead. In the morning we had coffee outside our door and breakfast was just delicious!

My wife and I were looking for a high quality but affordable getaway from San Antonio for our 2nd anniversary, and after much sifting through countless grandma-esque hill country bed and breakfasts, I stumbled across this marvelous gem! Quite a breath of fresh air as far as room design and quality goes, and the atmosphere of this historic home was intriguing as well. Carol was INCREDIBLY kind and amiable throughout the whole experience, we truly appreciated her warm and hospitable personality. The breakfast was delicious, some surprise dessert was equally tasty, the complimentary glass of wine was nice, and the whole experience in general was very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our room, especially the amazing oversized spa bathtub! Aside from Seguin not having a whole lot to do, it was a swell experience. Highly recommended, especially if you're just looking to relax and not do a lot of sight-seeing.

We had a comfortable stay at the Mosheim Mansion. We found the service to be very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the beautiful antiques. Our room was large and comfortable. Our only concern was the spread on the bed needed cleaning and the room lock was difficult to lock and unlock. All in all we did enjoy the stay and would go back again.

A must visit to get into that much needed relaxation mode and wonderful for a delighting romantic weekend! Service at your fingertips with excellent customer service!!!

2.26.09 is the date my Wife and I stayed to celebrate her Birthday. I'm so glad out of all the B&B's I was looking at Mosheim is the choice I made. I've rarely in my 30 yrs on earth experienced such class, respect, service and genuine kindness anywhere. Mrs. Carol as I call her is so sweet and kind. My Wife and I had our wants and needs met and it made out stay overwhelmingly comfortable. I know overwhelming used like that may seem bizarre but what treatment they give you at Mosheim. The town is quiet and everyone seems to know one another which made a nice atmosphere. We dined at a nice little hispanic resturant. The pinnacle was the 3 course Breakfast Mrs. Carol served us. What an amazing tmie we had and I truly from the bottom of my heart thank you Mrs. Carol for helping make my Wife and I feel as if we'd come to visit family for a short stay. For anyone reading this if you enjoy peace,quiet, good food, excellent service and unfathomable amout of antique and beauty Mosheim mansion is your place.

We were married at the Mosheim Mansion on January 10, 2009. The setting was perfect! Carol and her crew added special touches, the wedding, reception and dinner were perfect! not a single problem. The night was romantic, heartfelt and a dream come true. Our guests we absolutly in love with the history and atmosphire, the way Carol and Bob handled the inn and made sure we had no worries at all were amazing!!! I was so very pleased and delighted that I chose the Mansion for my fairytale wedding!!! Thank you so much Carol and Bob for a DREAM COME TRUE!!!

This was my first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast and found it most delightful! I was pleasantly surprised with the individual attention we received which included catering to our every need. The mansion was lovely and our room equally so. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and the mimosas were a great touch. We definitely plan to return in the near future.

The place was very nice, the people were very nice. The food was great. My only problem was customer service. We were not introduced and told what the "routine" of how things work in a bed and breakfast. We were never told what was included or extra for our stay. We felt uncomfortable about what to do or to go.

I enjoied everything about our stay. I will, and have recomened it to everyone I know . Sent her cards out with my Christmas cards

In a difficult and stressful time, Carol made our stay at the mansion incredibly comfortable and welcoming. We were able to bring our dog with us, and enjoyed her dogs as well. Loved the breakfasts, fresh cookies and wine every evening! Will definitely go back again! The mansion and grounds are beautiful.

Awesome food, Awesome service and wonderfully interesting ambiance. Breakfast was gourmet and cooked to order every morning. I never had a need that went unmet nor was neglected to be offered before I even thought of it. My husband was hooked by the fresh baked cookies that were offered every evening and I was delighted by the wonderful bath tub.--- It was a great stay.

The owners of Moshiem Mansion were excellent. They were extremely nice and accomodating during our entire stay. We enjoyed great tasting and generous breakfasts prepared to our liking. Our rooms were outstanding and very clean. We would definitely stay again!

We found this B&B while frantically searching the web for a place to evacuate for Hurricane Ike. The atmosphere was calming, the service was first-class, the breakfasts were marvelous. We truly found our shelter from the storm! We plan to go back again soon!!!

this was my first bed & breakfast. I may never stay in a hotel again! Everyone was ffirndly, but I had plenty of privacy. Breakfast was awesome and she let me have diet coke instead of coffee. Great cookies!

The owner of this fabulous mansion accomodated many during required evacuations from homes that were threatened by Hurricane IKE. Humans as well as animals were welcomed. The stay was a comfort in a time of distress.

The Mansion is absolutely lovely, but the owner, Carol Hirschi, is even lovelier. My husband and I stood in front of her house to watch the 4th of July parade and to our surprise she came out and served everyone champagne mimosas. When the bottle was empty, she went back in and opened another one! I'll never forget how truly nice and lovely she was. Seguin is lucky to such a fine lady living here. Thank you Carol for making our day so wonderful.
