Ruckman Haus is a charming, centrally-located bed and breakfast in the heart of the most historic area of San Antonio. We are located 2 miles northwest of downtown and the historic San Antonio Riverwalk. Ruckman Haus is a turn-of-the-century stucco home that reflects the distinct Spanish influences in San Antonio. We are within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Shopping, including antiques and traditional store items, is close by. At the house itself guests will find a spacious living room, comfortable library nook and a large dining room. Outside are a shady patio and a large deck where guests may gather for afternoon refreshments and conversation.

The Ruckman Haus is the best experience ever. It is tiny blocks from wonderful restaurants and shopping. It is quiet and beautiful, and no detail has been overlooked in providing everything you could want. It is simply my favorite place to stay.

Prudence and Ron were great hostesses. Made our stay in San Antonio incredible. And, in the morning they serve a three course breakfast, coffee and your choice of juice. It had us filled till the late afternoon. They are sweet and helpful when it comes to recommendations (stores, restaurants, etc...). It was are place of zen for the days we were there. :)

My husband and I spent three nights at the Ruckman Haus Bed & Breakfast in January of 2014 on our visit to San Antonio. We stayed in the English Room and found it to be comfortable, clean and very beautiful! Our breakfasts were delicious and huge and made fresh. Our host and hostess were very helpful with directions and places to see in San Antonio. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to all my friends.

Staying at Ruckman Haus is like coming home. No detail is overlooked - beautiful décor, fine linens, comfy beds, great showers, a fridge in the room with water bottles, wine and beer in the kitchen, and wonderful breakfasts! The grounds are beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy in good weather. Hosts Prudence and Ron are the best! And all this for less than you'd pay at a four star hotel.
