Welcome to Inn on the Riverwalk. Situated along the picturesque bank of the San Antonio River, near the historic King William District, our inn offers a romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment you enter this carefully restored, turn of the century home, you'll be entranced by period details such as high airy ceilings, original pine floors, shingled cupolas, and wrap around porches. The entire house is an ideal setting for family reunions, wedding receptions, or small business conferences. A stately pecan tree towers over the house and shades the exterior courtyard. In the morning you'll wake to a full breakfast, prepared by our chef. Breakfast may be enjoyed in the dining area or alfresco on your private porch or balcony. In the evening, a gently cascading waterfall just up-river lulls you to sleep.

The experience was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were three blocks from the main section of the Riverwalk. It was a beautiful walk. The city disappeared in this little get away. The only negative I have is that there is no heat in the cottage rooms. In the winter it is cold! They do have space heaters. I wish the jets in the huge spa bath tub had been functional for the bubble bath that night, but it was still great. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them. I will return there in the future if I get the opportunity.

My boyfriend and I stayed on the 3rd floor suite for a weekend. He booked it on his own and the owner and staff helped him through it all..It was beautiful and peaceful. He asked me to marry him on the balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. What a wonderful place.. The Inn will always, always hold a very special place in our hearts! But, on to the actual stay- Our room was great, wonderful view of San Antonio's skyline and the bed was very comfortable. The staff-where do I start? They were accomadating and caring. They pointed us in to the right direction for some great spots. Try Rosario's on a Saturday night for dinner-fun and delicious. And we walked..nice touch. Breakfast was nothing short of amazing! Friday morning, "Mom" served up some yummy breakfast tacos and on Sunday, they offered an array of deliciousness from fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits to cheesy eggs...cooked fresh for every person that makes it to the breakfast room. There was a wedding and reception at the Inn on Saturday and for a second, we thought it was going to affect our stay--not at all! We just opened our balcony doors and listened to the overflow of laughter and tunes. The Inn decorated the space beautifully. I would recommend this gem to anyone wanting a romantic and nice time within walking distance to the Riverwalk's sites.

Stayed at the Inn for a few days while down visiting family. The location was great with Riverwalk access right outside of the Inn. There was a slight walk to get to the "populated" area of the Riverwalk, but the quiet nature of this portion was pleasant.

This is a cozy B & B that needs a little updating. It would have been wonderful for the little porch area of our room to have some chairs to sit in instead of the extra 2 twin beds. There really wasn't a place to just chill out with a glass of wine anywhere except outside and it was too cold. Staff is very pleasant and breakfasts were cooked each morning. The location was excellent. Bathroom was very small and there was no place to hang a towel.

This was the first time I was in San Antonio and I reserved this hotel on line with no input from anyone. I read some of the reviews and became a little nervous, but I was genuinely thrilled with my stay. The Inn is directly on the River Walk but off the beaten path. It is still within walking distance of the shops and restaurants without the disturbances of the crowds. The first morning there, we had complimentary room service for breakfast. The remainder of the days we had breakfast in the dining room. The breakfast was freshly made with eggs, toast, ham (most days), and fresh fruit. Coffee, juice, and cold cereals were also available. The inn keeper spoke with us nearly every day. The room was clean and spacious with a private bathroom and a porch we could sit on to people watch. We were also in proximity to rental bikes and spent one day riding along the River Walk to the missions. It was a great place to stay and it promises to get even better with some of the ideas of the new owner.

The Owner and Staff helped make this a great stay. The rooms are comfortable and quaint. Breakfast is good, but the location to the River Walk is what gives this B&B the edge. If you like to walk or run, this place is in the perfect spot to either hit the Restaurants and Bars or to just walk by the coolest section of beautiful vegetation and the King William area of San Antonio with the most stunning homes in town. We are coming back.

this B&B is in a great location. Park the car in their parking lot and then walk to all the main sites in San Antonio - the Riverwalk, The Alamo, The Mall to name a few. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The whole place could do with a programme of maintenance, refresh of paintwork and repair to some of the woodwork. Breakfast was good; I especially liked the pancakes with syrup. I would stay here again.

As you come into San Antonio from the airport, stay on U.S. Hwy. 281 South, all the way downtown and take the Durango exit. Turn right on Durango and go past St. Mary's. The second corner on your right is Dwyer. After turning onto Dwyer, the second corner on your right be Woodward Place. The inn is at the end of the block.
