Welcome to Inn on the Riverwalk. Situated along the picturesque bank of the San Antonio River, near the historic King William District, our inn offers a romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment you enter this carefully restored, turn of the century home, you'll be entranced by period details such as high airy ceilings, original pine floors, shingled cupolas, and wrap around porches. The entire house is an ideal setting for family reunions, wedding receptions, or small business conferences. A stately pecan tree towers over the house and shades the exterior courtyard. In the morning you'll wake to a full breakfast, prepared by our chef. Breakfast may be enjoyed in the dining area or alfresco on your private porch or balcony. In the evening, a gently cascading waterfall just up-river lulls you to sleep.

Loved the patio area nestled in the centre of the city, perfect for relaxing and taking time out from exploring. The bedroom, number 12 was a little tired, needed painting and new bed covers. Great warm welcome from host Roland, just needs a little more attention to detail to make this a higher score.

My wife and I stayed here in late March. The owner said he'd just taken over about four months ago. He was quite nice and open to suggestions. The breakfast was more than sufficient. Hours were a bit confining but not horribly inconvenient. The place is easy find and right on the Riverwalk, not a long walk from the restaurant and shops. It is also close to two breweries. Highly recommend.

Location was outstanding, a short distance to the restaurants on the River Walk. The balcony was very nice to relax on in the evenings. Breakfast was wonderful.

I wanted to like this Inn so very much. The staff were friendly and great, the location is perfect (close to the river walk, but far enough away to be quiet), the food was perfect, and just generally a quirky little place that is just where I like to stay while on vacation. But,the beds. Oh the beds. Two inch mattress toppers on a cheap mattress do not make for a great night's sleep. We were traveling with a 6 month old, which has it's own challenges for restful nights, and the overly soft beds made for two nights without much rest. I had to move into the twin bed in the second room (without a mattress topper) just catch some zzzs our second night. I admit I like a harder mattress, so if you don't mind a bed without any support and supper soft, then this place is for you. We stayed in room 12, and I peeked in room 11 between guests and it seems like the mattress situation is the same in every room. Really a great value, and cute little place, but for us the sleepless nights were a huge drawback. If you aren't as picky a sleeper as us, then this just might your perfect place!

The experience was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were three blocks from the main section of the Riverwalk. It was a beautiful walk. The city disappeared in this little get away. The only negative I have is that there is no heat in the cottage rooms. In the winter it is cold! They do have space heaters. I wish the jets in the huge spa bath tub had been functional for the bubble bath that night, but it was still great. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them. I will return there in the future if I get the opportunity.
