Inn at Craig Place

We have stayed with Gregg and Kelly two times now. Both times really allowed us to "get away" and feel relaxed and still at home. We really love visiting San Antonio just to visit this B&B.

Gregg and Kelly couldn't be more accommodating, more friendly, or more genuinely good folks. This is a GREAT, romantic getaway hidden in the middle of the city. Thanks--we LOVED it!

My husband and I usually like to spend time away on an island but this time as a well needed get away we choosed to stay in the US. Craig's Place came up on my email sight. Took a chance since we have never staye at a B&B. Loved every mintue of it. The room was great and the breakfast were out of this world. I would go again and tell all my friends.

My husband and I were on our Anniversary of when we first met, and I wanted our first getaway to be a time to remember. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed with our choice to stay at the Inn at Craig Place in any way. We stayed in the "Once Upon a Dream" Suite and it was truly a dream come true. We felt pampered from the time we entered the front door. The welcome package was very informative and insightful. Every need was met, from the ambiance to the 3 course breakfast in bed. My husband and I stayed here last week and it was amazing. The room was very cozy and relaxing and the hospitality was outstanding. The keepers were very friendly and the breakfast was truly a culinary delight. We will definetly stay here again when we are in the San Antonio area.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed every moment from the scrumptious breakfasts to the comfortable beds. Our room was really big with a fireplace. We were awakened with a coffee and pastry tray and then an hour later served a gourmet breakfast. Plus we had warm cookies in the afternoon. It was much nicer that we expected and we plan to go back.

The room was clean and well appointed and the breakfast was so good we didn't eat until dinner. Would definitely stay there again!

This is one of the best places I visited so far. I feel bad to leave this place.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. It was exceptional! The house is beautiful and the rooms were very well kept and comfortable. The service was good, the food incredible, and Greg and Kelly were very nice. We HIGHLY recommend The Inn at Craig Place to anyone who is looking for a place to relax.

The only bad thing that I can say about the Inn at Craig Place is that we had to leave. Right from check-in to our check-out, this was the perfect honeymoon getaway. You cannot find more hospitable people then Kelly & Greg. The food was out of this world and we felt at home as we took in the sights of San Antonio. THANK YOU for a very memorable honeymoon!

We stayed 10/30/11 thru 11/1/11. My new Husband say's, "Best ever. Magical. Awesome." We were married on Halloween and had a very small intimate wedding at the Inn (A Charming Affair). We had guest's come in a Halloween costume or in Wedding attire, which the owners found amusing. We had a outdoor ceremony and everything was so green and beautiful, perfect for picture taking. The weather was perfect, it wasn't too hot or too cold. Though if the weather had not been perfect, I'm sure the inside would have been just as nice. For the reception, Our cake was breath taking, it looked just like the pictures on the website. My favorite was the mini quiches, raspberry chipotle sauce and crackers. Gregg and Kelly made sure everything was in place and we felt like a million dollars. I don't think we would have got this kind service at other venues we had looked at. For the room, we stayed in Happily Ever After and I'm glad we did, it was so spacious and romantic. Plenty of space to move around in and get dressed. Very clean. My favorite part about the room was the sun room, it's very peaceful. We were excited about what to expect for Breakfast. For Breakfast on the 1st day, we had Crème Brûlée French Toast Soufflé with chocolate soufflé for dessert. It was divine. 2nd day we had the Ham and Cheese Soufflés, but I think it was served with sausage instead of ham. I might be wrong on which dessert though. It was very good and we finished up all of it this time around. We had a hard time finishing up the dessert and ended up not being able to eat everything because it's a LOT of food which tasted so good. Kelly is the Queen of gourmet. We were sad when it was time to go, but look forward to many get-a-ways and Anniversaries there. Thank You Gregg and Kelly for making our stay perfect and a Beautiful Wedding. Linda and Paul.

My fiance and I chose this place to have a small intimate wedding. We wanted to be married on 11-11-2011 Gregg and Kelly went above and beyond to accommodate us. The place is so beautiful! They go all out, the food is perfect, the rooms are so very clean! It's very quiet peaceful ad serene. They are super nice people and very patient. We were running very late Kelly helped me get into my dress and Gregg helped my fiance. They set everything up to look like a big wedding it was so much better than I ever expected or imagined. I was sas because none of my family could make it but Gregg and Kelly made my dreams come true! They are located right near the heart of downtown close to shopping dining and the FAMOUS RIVERWALK! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS PLACE.

The rooms were GREAT! They were very quiet. The location of the B&B was great! If you want a quiet escape this is the location. The Innkeepers were fabulous. We loved the breakfastsand the service. We will be recommending this place to our friends.

The owners of this Inn pay really close attention to small details. My wife and I got married there last year and it was awesome, just stayed there for our anniversary and was impressed again. Highly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay here...we just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back...it was very romantic, private when we wanted it to be, and the food was good! Dessert for breakfast is most definitely a great idea!

We never stayed at a B&B before. Our stay was nice, but quick. We only stayed one night and I can see that you probably need a couple of nights to really get comfortable. The house was charming and we had coffee on the upstairs patio during the evening. I tried to use the whirlpool tub, but I am tall so this was not relaxing to me. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic. It was a neat experience. I recommend trying this, but squeeze in a couple of nights.

Thank you for your review and kind words about your stay. It's a challenge to make guests and potential guests totally aware of the tubs in the Once Upon A Dream and Serenity rooms. We clearly describe them as "deep jetted whirlpool tubs" and show pictures with dimensions of them so as not to lead anyone to believe that they bigger than they actually are. Can two people fit into them? Yes, they have but it all depends on how small or how big they are :-)

We had never stayed at a B and B before this and so we weren't sure what to expect. We were thrilled with the whole experience. Gregg and Kelly made us feel right at home from the start. We stayed in The Hildebrand Room and it was just lovely. The room was spacious and decorated tastefully. It was clean and well stocked. We had fresh coffee delivered to our room each morning and a wonderful breakfast delivered as well. The food was just amazing! Each afternoon fresh cookies were placed outside our door as a little treat. I think what made this experience excellent was the fact that we weren't treated as an income. We were treated as guests that they wanted to impress! We were impressed! We will definitely stay with them again in the future!

Gregg and Kelly made us feel at home once again! Last year was the first time that we stayed at the inn for our honeymoon and our original stay was for only 4 days; we ended up staying for 8 days and loved it! We decided to go back for our one year annivesary and the service like always exceeded our expectations!

I selected The Inn at Craig Place as a surprise getaway weekend for my husband's BD and our Anniversary and it proved to be an amazing choice. The Inn is beautiful and although located in a residential area, it is quite secluded and quiet. With it being in the Monte Vista Historic District, just taking a walk around the streets nearby was wonderful due to the beautiful historic homes! The owners, Gregg and Kelly, were absolutely incredible at making our stay memorable! The breakfast each morning was delectable...some of the best B&B breakfasts we have ever enjoyed! Eating on the balcony was wonderful too! Beautiful big old trees in the front yard with cardinals and squirrels to watch was fun. Warm homemade cookies each evening delivered to our door and a pre-breakfast basket delivered each morning with coffee/tea and an "appetizer" was perfect! I especially love the idea of serving a dessert with breakfast....what a treat! I highly recommend this B&B...you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Craig Place for our one year anniversary. It was perfect! Wish we could have stayed longer. The service is outstanding- we loved the fresh baked cookies, the delicious breakfast brought to our room, and the library/hospitality nook located near our room. My husband and I have never been to a B&B before and we wanted to go somewhere nice for our first anniversary. I was planning everything myself so I researched a ton of places and decided on this one. When we got there I was soo impressed with how well Gregg and Kelly thought of all the little things that make the visit special. They are also super nice people. We didnt want to leave. We were married at the Inn at Craig Place 4 years ago. Even though we were the current owner's first wedding, everything was perfect. Gregg and Kelly are wonderful, and every detail is in place. We have been back almost every year for our anniversary. Its great to wake up to coffee and delicious scones or muffins at your doorstep in the morning. We enjoy our coffee and amazing breakfast sitting out on the wrap-around upstairs porch listening to the birds. We love walking through the historic neighborhood early in the morning or in the evening. Our very favorite cupcake place, Kate's Frosting, is just a block away. This is our favorite getaway... we HIGHLY recommend it!!

Our stay at your Inn was the best ever. We felt so at home that it was hard leaving the rooms on some days. The Barefoot Dreams is just that... A Dream. It has become our code name for mentally escaping from the busy pace of our work week. The morning breakfast was an experience in itself. We felt so spoiled and pampered. We loved the old southern charm of the house. The porch gave such a beautiful view and was the ideal location for breakfast. Gregg and Kelly are the best hosts ever, they made us feel like family as supposed to guests. If and when we are ever in San Antonio again, the Barefoot Dreams room will be our home away from home. The decor and little details made our stay so special. We didn't really have to go far to enjoy our vacation. Watching TV by the fireplace was so soothing. The bed was extremely cozy, the flameless candles added a romantic touch. I could go on and on. We are already looking back to our next trip to your B&B. Food, service, atmosphere and amenities were fabulous. Innkeepers are friendly but not intrusive. This will be our place to stay when we visit San Antonio.

The keepers of the bed and breakfast were very helpful and kind. They seemed to really want to make their guest have the best stay possible. It was a wonderful experience and my wife and I will stay there everytime we return to San Antonio.

A very beautiful place with a wonderful history. The room we stayed in was Once Upon a Dream and Karen and Greg made our stay as wonderful as it could be. The food was amazing and the jacuzzi tub just soothed us and washed away our stress. I have been recommending this to everyone I know.

I suprised my fiance with a mid week stay at the Inn at Craig Place, we often frequent bed & breakfast's. Everything about the inn was amazing starting with the service. The only negitive was having to leave, we felt like royality. I fear no other B&B will ever compare to the elegance, romance and service we recieved at the Inn at Craigs Place.

My new wife and I spent the first few days at Craig Place. The room was fantastic and the service was outstanding. I've never had breakfast as good as this. The only issue we had was my wife's constant confusion with the names of the Inn (Craig) and the name of our host (Gregg).

This was our second stay, and once again, our expectations were exceeded. The food was sensational, the hosts were gracious, and the room was incredible. We felt like we were guests in their home instead of customers at their B&B. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved it! Gregg and Kelly were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cookies and the coffee at our door made us feel truly pampered. The morning breakfast in the balcony was unbelievable! We plan on returning sometime in the fall/winter! We are already looking forward to returning and decided that after this wonderful experience we will never stay at a hotel on the riverwalk ever again! My husband and I first visited the Inn at Craig Place for our honeymoon in 2008 and have been back two times since. Greg and Kelly think of everything and are more than accommodating to your every need. From beautiful rooms to coffee and fresh baked scones or muffins on your rooms doorstep when you wake to an amazing breakfast and fresh baked cookies on your room doorstep when you return from your afternoon adventures, there is nothing left out or skimped on. Every time we have stayed with them has been great. The breakfast is delicious from the first bite of frittata to the last bite of chocolate souffle everything is deliciously decadent! I would highly recommend the Inn at Craig Place for a long romantic stay or a weekend getaway for any couple. WoW! My husband and I just recently married here at the Inn at Craig Place and it was more than I could ever ask for on our wedding day. The room was amazing along with the personal touches by the staff. As we woke up relaxed and refreshed we enjoyed the most beautiful breakfast out on our balcony. My husband and I decided we wanted to elope, but we had no idea where. We had moved to San Antonio a week before and we were not familiar with nice places to elope. We found this place on this website, read the reviews and immediately called and asked if we could take a look. We told them that we wanted to get married 6 days from that day, and they were more than happy to accomodate us. We instantly fell in love and could not wait to get married there. Gregg and Kelly were absolutely wonderful and everything on that day was perfect and stress free- which is exactly what we wanted. The wedding cake was amazing, the flowers were gorgeous, the room was spotless, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. We Eloped to the INN AT CRAIG PLACE 2/12/2011 and could not have asked for more! Gregg and Kelly made everything absolutely PERFECT! All we did was tell them what we wanted and they made it happen! My wife and I don't get away from home too often so we wanted to stay somewhere special.Craig's place proved to be that. It's located in a quiet older neighborhood that was fun to walk around. The house itself was beautifully kept as was the yard. Breakfast was great! Gregg took great pride in what he served. Each of the two mornings we had an entirely different menu served on the upstairs porch. Although all the rooms in the home were filled that weekend, it was quiet and we felt like we were the only people there. We would stay there again and would recommend Craig's place to our friends.

We stayed at the Inn for a quick get away for our anniversay. The accommodation were fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Greg and Kelly were the best host and the food was unbelievable. You can not go wrong staying there. The points I made with my wife will cover a few of the mistakes I am bound to make in the near future.

Inn keepers are so very hospitable. Helped with dining, directions, boarding passes and so much more. The breakfasts are huge and so delicious. Our room was super clean and comfortable. It is so quiet, yet 1.5 miles from River Walk. If considering a place to stay in San Antonio, this is the place.

As a previous reviewer stated, we also have stayed at many B&B but this one tops them all. Our room was very clean and they came in every day to clean, which we have never experienced at any other B&B. The breakfast was exceptional! The presentation was so pretty. We enjoyed eating on the deck. My husband loved getting morning coffee outside the door each morning and the fresh cookies each night. They make your stay very comfortable and enjoyable. It's a peaceful area. Our room was very nice and I peak at some of the other rooms and they looked wonderful too. They have every detail covered. It was a fantastic way to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. Thanks Gregg and Kelly!

My husband and I have stayed in several B&Bs before...but none compare to this one. I can't begin to mention every detail because there are too many. They have thought of everything. As for the food! Well being from Louisiana it takes alot to impress us with food, but Kelly did it! The food was unbelievably good. Gregg was so helpful and kind. You can't get this hospitality anywhere else. Thanks for making our 10th anniversary so memorable.

We arrived a while after 6 and the owners were in their car leaving for the day but when they saw us, they stay a bit longer to get us checked in and give us some information which was nice. Our rooms was great and cozy with delicious chocolate and cookies awaiting us :-). We loved the library and the balcony and the three course breakfast in the balcony was awesome. Gregg and Kelly are very nice, accommodating and helpful.

Our stay was great. Me and my husband had just gotten married on the day we checked in. There is no other place in the states that I would have wanted to stay at instead of Inn at Craigs Place. They were wonderful and great. They truly blessed us. The hospitality was wonderful and the peace and quiet we had was priceless. We have nothing negative to say. The place was top of the line. We recommend everyone to give them a chance first. I almost decided against them because a hotel gave me a better price but everything inside me said stick with them. We went with my gut feeling and I am so happy I did. This couple is a blessing. The food was great. The room was beautiful and the home beautiful also. They put their heart into this.

The hospitable nature and service of our host, Greg was exceptional. And the breakfast was a delicious way to end our stay. We most certainly will be back to experience some of the other themed rooms. Earl & Patrese Denny

3/24/2011 Craig Place Inn is the Perfect Place to have a Small Intimate Romantic Wedding. From the time we arrived til our departure Gregg & Kelly made our stay most enjoyable. Me & my fiancee had searched the web for several weeks & came across their website. After reading all the great reviews & Seeing what a Beautiful place this was we knew this was the Perfect place for our Wedding. Gregg & Kelly went all out to make sure that our Wedding Day was Special. We had a Couples Wedding Only & It was the Most Romantic & Memorable Day that we will always remember & Cherish for years to come. From the Awesome Gourmet Breakfast served to us on the balcony each morning to the Cookies left at our door each night & the Special Pictures that Gregg took of our Wedding & put on a Dvd for us that was placed in our basket with our Coffee & Tea in front of our door the next morning. You will never find a More Romantic Inn to stay. Craig Place Inn is by far the Best Inn that you will find in San Antonio!!! We would Highly recommend it to Everyone. I could not have imagined a nicer stay at a more beautiful place. We were greeted with such warmth and hospitality that we immediately felt at home. I stood slightly open mouthed as we walked up to the front of the beautiful house and had the same reaction as we walked inside and toured the rooms. Each evening we went to sleep with the stars above us and every morning we woke to the sounds of birds. Our breakfast was INCREDIBLE and we never once felt rushed or pressured to begin our day any earlier than our liking. I truly cannot express how wonderful our stay at the Inn at Craig Place was. Greg and Kelly, thank you for the wonderful breakfast conversation, we loved talking with you. I will recommend this beautiful place to anyone and everyone that has plans to stay in San Antonio, for you are positively missing out on one of the treasures of the city if you do not stay here. i am from San Antonio, but my work for the last 5 years has taken me out of state. I frequently come back to visit family. I usually book a hotel downtown, but decided to try something different. Hands down! this B&B is the nicest place I have ever stayed. Most of the hotels closer to the Riverwalk will nickel and dime you to the bone - parking, internet, food, etc. I have stayed at the "luxurious" Westin (EXPENSIVE!!) , historic Menger (smells like cafeteria and you can hear everything in the room next to you!) , and budget Red Roof (outdated) - all are much more expensive and terrible quality for the money. The Inn is in an older part of town. I saw an earlier post from an individual commenting on "bad neighborhood" As a native San Antonionian, Monte Vista is actually a very safe part of town. I went to school at SAC over the summers and would walk to grab lunch, etc. It is just an older area of town. Although I concur some homes out there need a facelift, you are probably safer here than deep downtown. As far as the rooms -WOW!! Each one has its own fireplace, the linens and decor are beautiful, and the breakfast is truely gourmet!!! As soon as you step out of your car you can see the immaculate attention to detail from the gardening outside to the careful restoration of original pieces inside the house from the glass doorknobs to a painted mural in the dining hall. You will not regret booking your stay here. I will def be coming back to this inn for any of my future travels.

The food is amazing - foodies rejoice! And you can eat the food in your room (with a 9 or 10 delivery - they'll bring you coffee at 8). If you want, you can eat in the dining room with others. Great library with books and DVDs. And the rooms...to quote Liz Lemon: I want to go to there. Everything a B&B should be!

My husband and I recently vacationed in San Antonio and stayed at the Inn at Craig Place. The inn is beautiful and the decor matches the feel of a house built around 1900...with all of the modern amenities that one could want in a modern inn. Our room was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Hands down the best breakfasts that I've ever had...and I'm very discriminating. We felt spoiled, and were very sad to have to leave!

Gregg and Kelly are incredible hosts. We feel welcomed and pampered every time we go. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the food is truly gourmet. Also, our favorite Mexican restaurant is within walking distance, right around the corner.

It was a beautiful, peaceful experience. For two parents who have never even had a honeymoon, it couldn't have been more perfect. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and pecfectly put together. The owner was available and friendly and very helpful in getting us around town. The first chance i get to go anywhere again it will be here. Completely satisfied.

All I can say is the pictures do not do the Inn at Craig Place justice! The house was unbelievably beautiful and the food was to die for!!!! Gregg and Kelly know exactly how to treat their guests, like royalty. They are there when you need them but do not bother you at all. My husband surprised me with a honeymoon package which included a dozen long stemmed red rose bouquet, chocolate covered strawberries and sparking apple juice along with glasses to toast with. Rose petals were scattered all over the room and in the shape of a heart on the bed. I was in absolute awe of how amazing the room looked! Little did I know the real treat was in the morning when breakfast was graciously served in our room and the food was absolutely out of this world! The chocolate souffle was yummy. We will most definitely return to the Inn for many more years to come. Somehow Gregg and Kelly have thought of everything and pay very close attention to detail. My husband and I had the privilege of staying at The Inn at Craig Place on the weekend following Valentine's Day. We had the Serenity Room - and it was fabulous! From the romantic music and fresh cookies when we arrived, to the fireplace and jacuzzi tub - everything was absolutely beautiful. Gregg and Kelly were incredible hosts - and cooks! I can't wait for the next opportunity to stay in this beautiful home!

My husband and I went here for my husband's birthday and a pre-anniversary celebration, it was so worth it, with almost 6 kids( one otw) its hard for us to get away and enjoy it being just the 2 of us, but here we were able to have a mini honeymoon, reconnect with one another, enjoy awesome food, and comfortable/relaxing accomodations. The inn is very close to all the "hot" spots, our room was clean and food-award winning, we're thinking of making this our annual anniversary spot; our secret getaway. Greg was very nice and knowledgeable about the city and its sites, funny, he was an excellent host, and his wife, we didn't see her until the end, but her sweets were something not even grandma could top...she's talented. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience. The Inn at Craig Place was an ultra quiet getaway that provided great service and tasty food. Upon arrival we were given a personal tour of the B&B and check in was very quick, then we were shown to our room.... OMG, when we walked into "Once upon a Dream" (The name of our suite), we were so happy with what we saw. Very romantic with it's own private bathroom (Jet tub and shower) we were just ecstatic... Soon after settling in the Innkeeper Craig who is a very nice gentleman hand delivered fresh cookies to our room which were absolutely delicious! The next morning we were met with fresh coffee and scones at 8:15 and breakfast at 10:00 (You have your choice). All I can say is before breakfast even arrived we were already looking at dates to book our next stay at the Inn. My husband and I spent a weekend at the inn, in the Hildebrand Room. The inn itself is absolutely beautiful. Our room was charming, romantic, very clean and had so many thoughtful touches. Gregg and Kelly are gifted with wonderful hosting abilities. My husband and I felt so welcome. The breakfasts that were served were out of this world. All-in-all, this is a must-stay kind of place!!

My husband and I heard about the inn at craig place from a friend. They had an amazing experience so we made reservations for a night the weekend of Valentine's Day. The Inn is beautiful, and we were told it was the 3rd oldest house in the neighborhood. It was in excellent condition. Gregg was wonderful, warm, and welcoming. We stayed in the Happily ever after room that had an adjoining sun room where we had breakfast. It was an amazing first experience w/ a B&B! The breakfast was 3 courses, and perfect for a breakfast lover!! We met Kelly the next morning, and she was just as friendly and warm. We were sold on breakfast being brought to our room! It made the romantic evening even more perfect!! The other great thing is that it's minutes from Pearl Brewery and Riverwalk where we had dinner. It is a great location! I would highly recommend this place to family and friends! And, we will be back!

When you drive up it is such a wonderful site to see. Gregg and Kelly are such wonderful people they are so nice. Our stay felt a whole lot more personal then staying at a hotel. Breakfast was amazing it was so good and something we looked forward to each morning. The rooms are so Beautiful. It's like your in a fairytale. My husabn and I didn't want to leave it was such a wonderful experince. If your want to get away form everything with your someone special you need to go the the Inn at Craig Place.

Stayed in the Serenity Room and it was fabulous!! Early coffee and scones in bed followed by a GOURMET breakfast in bed an hour later- a place you can just stay in and relax!!

The room was nice, the glow in the dark stars above the bed was romantic along with the fireplace and candles in the room. Breakfast was wonderful!! Staff was great. :)

We had a 2 night stay there during our honeymoon, and we loved our stay at Craig Place. We loved the breakfast- make sure you're hungry, and all of the little amenities there. The hosts were wonderful as well- we'll be back for our anniversary!

If you are looking for a good bed and breakfast to stay for a couple of days then the craigs inn is the place to go. The couple are very helpful and will do anything to make your experience the best. We had a gourmet breakfast both mornings that were ridiculously good. The wife knows how to cook and bake. The husband made sure my reservations were squared away. My wife said we are definitely going back again. Kelly and Greg thank you for the experience.

Kelly and Gregg run the most amazing inn I have ever been to. They were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! They were willing to offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do whenever we ran short on ideas. Gregg always waved when he saw us leaving in the mornings and made it truly feel like home. My husband and I stayed here on the final two nights of our honeymoon. What a wonderful place! Like almost all the other reviewers, we will have a difficult time adjusting to normal life after staying here. The breakfast meals were quite amazing! Gregg and Kelly do their best with the details and making sure every aspect of your stay is perfect, relaxing, and enjoyable. We loved the evening fresh cookies, beautiful decor, his and her robes and slippers, jacuzzi style bathtub, even the fresh decorative garnish on the breakfast dishes. Gregg and Kelly are very friendly and personable and we loved getting to know them during our short stay. This by far is the best place we have ever stayed at and will return again as soon as possible!

Everything about Craig's Place is a touch of grace. There is such thoughtfulness in the decor of each room, in the lovingly prepared breakfast, the nighttime cookies, the roses with a special note, etc. This was our 3rd year to visit...we always come on our anniversary. We had a wonderful stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was beautifully decorated and super cozy with so many personal touches! The house was easy to find, close to everything and yet, secluded. Gregg personally welcomed us on arrival and was gracious, full of information and gave us a tour of the place and the amenities. We were blown away by the delicious and creative snacks and breakfast. Everything was perfect for our anniversary celebration and we will return any chance we get!

This inn is adorable! Its the perfect place for a getaway, it allows for optimum privacy and the owners are great and very helpful. I ordered the romance package and the room was set up just perfect! I do not have one bad thing to say about my stay and I will definently stay there again.

We stayed in, "Once Upon a Dream," on our honeymoon and it was wonderful. We stayed in two other bed and breakfasts that week and The Inn at Craig Place was the best by far. They served an amazing breakfast and customer service was great. My husband broke two glasses and they cleaned them up as if it were nothing and told us not to worry. I have already reccomended them to family and friends as an excellent bed and breakfast. We would deffinately stay again.

This was my and my husband's first time staying at a B&B and it was a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful with charm in every room. There is a nice living room, well stocked library with books and DVDs, and a nice porch to sit on and watch the sun set and the stars rise. I stayed in the Happily Ever After room which included a sun room over looking the garden. It was wonderful to eat the gourmet breakfast in the room. I also requested the romance package with had balloons, roses (which are still alive 7 days later), chocolate covered strawberries, and sparkling grape juice. The inn is about 5 to 10 minutes from the Riverwalk and has a great location to just about every where in San Antonio, less than 30 minutes from just about anywhere. Since I had never been to a B&B Gregg took the time to explain that it is our home for our stay and that they are just there to help us be comfortable. He is a very nice man and is always looking to make your stay more special. Breakfast was amazing and I missed it for days afterward. This will definitely be somewhere we will stay again and again.

I read all the reviews and they all raved about this place so we decided to try it out. It far exceeded my expectations. Kelly and Greg were beyond friendly, they were able to tell us of all the good places to eat and other attractions to check out. Plus the food was fabulous! We will definitely will stay there again.

Located only a very few min from downtown with easy access, it remains quaint and relaxing. The owners go out of their way to make your stay what you want it to be, not a pre-arranged schedule. The rooms are different theme rooms without being over-stated. The food, breakfast/brunch, is outstanding. You wont need lunch! Owners are very familiar with the area and are a valuable objective source of sights, value/quality of area resturants, entertainment, etc. This place is only about a 6-7 min drive from the riverwalk and costs less than a hotel on the riverwalk....no reason to hassle with a hotel and the crowds after you are finished sight-seeing. (Actually, I intend to stay here for meetings in SA rather than dodwntown from now on). Check out their web sight. You will not be dissappointed. R&JMc

I almost hate to write a glowing review, because that means it might be harder for us to get our favorite room here again. The Inn was beautiful and Kelly & Gregg were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. This is now our San Antonio home away from home.

I have stayed at the Inn at Craig Place a couple of times now, and each time I have stayed there, it has been wonderful! The service you get at the Inn at Craig Place, is by far, the most personal, relaxed and comforting atmosphere that I have ever experienced at a B&B before. Gregg & Kelly go to great lengths to make sure that each and every guest is happy, and attended to. Everytime we had a request or question, they were happy and very prompt to help or get us what we needed. They are constantly working to make sure that everything is presentable and it truly shows! Everytime I have been to the Inn, everything was absolutely exceptional, from the service, to the food, to the cleanliness of the rooms, and the warm feeling you get while there. I would recommend this place to anyone going to San Antonio, it is in a perfect area away from all the buzz of downtown if you want to relax but still be close enough to visit it if you would like. Each time I have been here, I leave feeling refreshed and wonderful, although also a little sad to go. Even as I write this review, I still hope that it stays somewhat of a secret how great this place is, so that I can be a bit selfish with this wonderful place!

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Craig Place B&B for a wedding. Kelly and Gregg went beyond making my stay comfortable and relaxing. I had delicious warm coffee, cream, and goodies waiting for me at my door when i woke up and a scrumptious breakfast served every morning during my stay. Shortly after finishing my breakfast in the balcony, i would return to my room to find it IMPECCABLE in just the short time I was outside enjoying my spinach frittata, coffee, fresh fruit, and pastry (or whatever other tasty treat Gregg and Kelly served up in the morning!). They kept the grounds at the Inn very neat and tidy so with that initial impression I was not surprise to see how well maintained and organize it was within the home. Rest assured that every room available for your stay and common areas (which includes a library with a sitting area and unlimited coffee maker, a balcony, a dining room downstairs, and another sitting area) was immaculate, including the private bathrooms attached to each room. This B&B has ruined hotels for me. Hotels are no match to the cozy, comfy, and warm mood that exudes from the Craig Place B&B. I highly recommend staying here and I personally guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I recently stayed and attended a wedding at the Inn at Craig Place and absolutely fell in love with it! The owners are fabulous and did everything to make us feel right at home. The rooms were in excellent condition and each were decorated very nicely. I stayed in the Barefoot Dream suite and it was just lovely! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! From the food (which was delicious!), to the service, to the atmosphere...this is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed! The owners really paid such special attention to detail and made the whole experience top notch! You will really enjoy your time at the Inn at Craig Place!

inn at craig place is a charming b&b. but we arrived at a bad time ... although we were not early, there was a wedding finishing up, and the innkeepers were distracted and preoccupied ... we stood around awkwardly for 15 minutes before they were able to attend to us; at one point i asked if we should leave and come back later. after this initial difficulty, everyone and everything was very nice, but first impressions do make a mark. because of weddings on both afternoons of our stay, the downstairs of the inn was messy, although the upstairs and our room were lovely. my suggestion, to avoid future problems of this nature, would be to not have other guests on "wedding weekends". too much going on, with potential for chaos.

We are sincerely sorry that these guests felt that they were inconvenienced. We have hosted many weddings at the Inn since we acquired it over 3 years ago. Weddings are held from 2:00 – 4:00 in the afternoon and have a maximum of 25 guests, and check-in for new guests is any time after 4:00. As evidenced in our other reviews, hosting weddings in the afternoon has not been an issue for either our guests that are already checked into the Inn, or guests that are scheduled to check in on that day. These guests did, in fact, arrive 10 minutes before 4:00 as we were just finishing a wedding, and we took them up to their room at 4:05. As for the cleanliness rating, we are often told that the Inn is the cleanest place guests have ever stayed. “Messy,”as mentioned in the review, must refer to the fact that we move the downstairs furniture around for the weddings, but please note that upstairs the guests have access to the library and the balcony to relax outside of their rooms and it is very rare that any of our guests come downstairs to lounge, even when furniture is in place.

Gregg and Kelly are awesome! This is the only place we stay when visiting San Antonio! The food is amazing, and the fact that you can have it in your room-what a special touch! It's always so quite and peaceful-a great stay any day!!

Can't say enough about our stay at the Inn at Craig Place. Room was exceptional, the roses, chocolate covered strawberries and scattered rose petals made for a nice touch upon our arrival. Kelly and Greg were most accomodating, even satisying a last minute request that was left on their voice mail while we were out. Not to mention braving tropical storm Hermine to make sure our picnic basket was delivered as requested. Seriously going above and beyond to accomodate! Breakfast was awesome, chocolate souffle in the morning? You've got to be kidding! Too good to be true. We had the "Happily Ever After" room which has a real nice sun room attached that made for some very cozy breakfast and after breakfast time ;-) I highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. He was a little bit hesitant, ande preferred a nice hotel instead, but upon arrivial he quickly realized I was right. I wanted something intimate, and private and we got just that. When we arrived there were flower petals on our bed in the shape of a heart and balloons. We got cookies at night and fresh coffe with a little treat each morning at 8:15 before breakfast. The environment was tranquil and we did not even want to leave our room. Gregg was great, very attenative and informative. We couldnt ask for more. We will defenitely be back, and make this our secret getaway. We really don't even wanna tell people about the place, so we can keep it to ourselves. But if you are considering this place try it out, and we are sure you won't regret it.

This was my second stay at the Inn at Craig Place. The proprietors are always friendly and gracious. I recommend staying in the Hildebrand Rm. I especially enjoy the chocolate souffle that's served at the end of breakfast.

Everything connected to our stay at the Inn was Outstanding; the room was large, luxurious yet steeped with the air of an older time. The food was incredible. Kelly leads a vicarious life as a french chef extrordinaire and hostess. Breakfast included baked grapefruit compote, creme broulee french toast and an amazing light and lucious chocolate souflee...what a treat!

We spent the last two nights of our vacation at the Inn. What a lovely house! The breakfast both mornings was absolutely delicious (though we appear to be the anomalies - actually ate in the dining room). The cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch. I would not hesitate recommending this B&B to anyone. Each room seems to have it's own personality and tranquil space. We actually stayed in two of the five rooms during our three night stay. I loved them both, as each was unique. Bath gels, cozy waffle robes and slippers were a comforting touch. Cleanliness is a pet peeve of mine and I have to say that this is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed at. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms sparkled. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal! Coffee was served promptly at 8:15 each morning in little pink thermoses with breakfast to follow at 9:00. We couldn't wait to see what was going to be on the tray each morning. Might I add, breakfast was served at the place of our choosing either in our room or on the balcony. I loved the idea that I did not have to eat breakfast and socialize with strangers each morning. The french toast souffle was to die for and don't forget to save some room for the breakfast dessert. After a long day of sight seeing, we could always expect warm cookies at our door waiting for us like a sweet friend inviting us back to our room. Soft music could be heard playing in our room as we opened the door. Ahhhh, it was so relaxing! The grounds of the inn were meticulously groomed in the King Williams district neighborhood. We spent quite a bit of time each evening on the upper balcony sitting in the wicker chairs sipping on a glass of wine or on the rocking chairs downstairs. We enjoyed strolling the streets each evening admiring all of the beautiful, old homes. We have stayed at numerous B&B's throughout the U.S., but this experience has put your B&B at the top of our favorite's list. Gregg and Kelly are great and pay attention to the little details that make a stay great. It was are second time there and it was as great as the first and we are planning to stay again in two weeks. The rooms are comfortable and very cozy. The place is very peaceful and the amentities are abundant with a gourmet breakfast that keeps bringing us back again. If you are looking for a romantic place to stay that is more personal than a larger hotel this is the place for you.

We cannot recommend this Bed and Breakfast enough!!!!! Gregg and Kelly are wonderful to us, from the time we married there through our most recent stay on our anniversary. The Inn at Craig Place is like a home away from home where you are surrounded in loving details that baffle you on how they can think of so many extra amenities. This was our second time staying at the Inn at Craig Place, and - as previously - everything was wonderful!

We stayed in the barefoot room and enjoyed amazing breakfasts every morning. It's very close to the Riverwalk that it's only a $10 cab ride away that will pick you up from Craig's place which has a phone directly linked to the cab company. Even though it's very close to the Riverwalk it's far enough away that you can enjoy your time in San Antonio without all tourist. The Innkeepers are cheerful, friendly and very helpful with anything you need. The room was beautiful, the staff great, but the breakfast in the mornings and cookies you received at the end of the day were amazing and made the trip worth it! Stay here if you really want to enjoy San Antonio and still have a relaxing vacation!

They were very helpful, friendly, eager to make us comfortable, but definitely not hovering. We have stayed at a lot of B&B's, and this was our favorite so far. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend, and we will stay there again ourselves!

I had traveled to the area with my wife for my brother's wedding. We chose this B&B because of the attractive website and good reviews. We loved the stay. The house is great with nice historic detailing. The food is outstandingly prepared and breakfast on the porch in the mornings are a delight. My one observation is that the neighborhood that the house is located in appears to be a little sub-par, however Kelly and Gregg make up for it with their hospitality and cuisine. We would definitely stay there again.

Only 5 minutes from downtown down one street in a quiet neighborhood with several good restautrants in short walking distance. What a wonderful couple that Gregg & kelly were as hosts during my stay. I stayed int he serenity room & was met with chocloates & champagne glasses on bed with a note asking if I wanted a hot beverage sent up to my room in the morn, now THAT'S service. I needed help getting to a place in the city & was given a map, directions promptly by Gregg. The breakfasts were very filling and delectable to the palate...thanks Kelly! ;-) I recommend this to any one renewing their vows & or wanting a romantic stay. The only drawback is the old house next door which is not the hosts fault & was not an issue as the weather wasn't condusive to being outdoors on the wrap around "sleeping porch" as I was informed by Kelly. The bed was comfy & room came with a sitting area for a comfy read with the faux fireplace going. So come and enjoy this house that feels like a home by the loving hearts and service of a wonderful couple, Gregg & Kelly. God bless & may your stays be relaxing and refreshing! This was my first bed and breakfast experience and Inn at Craig Place made it wonderful. I will be staying at bed and breakfasts more often now!! They were friendly, warm, welcoming, and very kind. I loved our stay and plan to stay again when I come back to San Antonio.

My husband and I recently renewed our wedding vows at the Inn at Craig Place. It was just the two of us and it couldn't have been more lovely. Innkeepers Gregg and Kelly arranged everything and made the event very special from top to bottom. Their warmth, attention to detail, and delicious breakfast the following morning made it everything we dreamed of. They were even willing to set it up for us at the last minute, though it couldn't have been better if we had spent months planning! Coming from NYC (where we lived for 10 years) we like to think that we're not easily impressed, and we were honestly impressed by the personal attention, care and hospitality that Gregg and Kelly showed. We hope to return there soon.

We had a delightful stay of 2 nights at the Inn at Craigs Place in San Antonio. The hosts, Kelly and Gregg, are warm, friendly and attend to your every need and desire. The accommodations are exceptional in the beautifully restored house. The location is outstanding; close to the riverwalk, Japenese gardens, restaurants, etc. The breakfasts are indeed gourmet in presentation and in food quality. From the cookies left outside your doorstep, to the coffee basket before breakfast, to the chocolate soufflé – it was all incredible. How could anyone accept a hotel when an experience like this can be yours. We look forward to our next visit to San Antonio and the Inn at Craigs Place.

I really enjoyed it! My wife loved it! Really quiet, Great rooms, Nice neighborhood to walk and see all the older homes, Churches, schools, even a short walk to some interesting night life. Downtown San Antonio not far away. We really enjoyed ourselves. Gregg & Kelly are great hosts!

Craig Place went above and beyond our expectations! We had a small wedding ceremony there and Kelly and Gregg were great! We stayed in the Happily Ever After room and we must say it was outstanding! We stayed in Hildebrand room. The room was decorated nicely. Nice high soft bed with fireplace and personal entrance to deck. We ate breakfasts out there every morning. The food served in the morning was above and beyond. There's a library with books and movies you can view while you are there. Well worth the money and then some. The owners are personable but not overly intrusive. We appreciated the overview given to us upon our arrival on how to get around town and things to do. We would definitely stay here again if and when we make it back to San Antonio. Only 5 minutes from riverwalk.

My hubby and I attended our lovely friends wedding at The Inn at Craigs Place. We went up the night before and didn't realise the pampering WE were going to have. It was wonderful. The house is quite simply stunning, a great wedding venue. Gregg and Kelly thought of every detail both to make our stay outsanting, aswell as tending to the Bride and Groom. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves while at the Inn at Craig Place. It was a very quiet place we really didn’t even know that anybody else was staying there along with us. The breakfast was awesome each and every morning. Greg and Kelly were some great down to earth type of people. They really helped us a lot as far as finding things to do and places to go. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this Bed and Breakfast just as my wife and I will again next summer.

The Inn at Craig Place was outstanding! As 1st time guests at B&B my husband & I were amazed. Gregg & Kelly go out of their way to make you feel pampered & relaxed. We were spoiled & did not want to leave! I would HIGHLY recommend this place & already have to family members. The Inn is most definitely warm & welcoming and certainly a nice change of pace from the craziness of the Riverwalk. I think I am forever spoiled by having the Inn at Craig Place be my first B&B experience. It was the most amazing stay I could have ever had. Beautiful room, amazing breakfast, friendly innkeepers. I want to visit other B&Bs someday, but I know they won't be as good. Inn at Craig Place set the bar too high for them to compete!

We were very impressed with our stay at The Inn at Craig Place. Far better deal than staying on the riverwalk. No exorbent parking fees, fabulous breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff!! Well worth the mile and a 1/2 drive to the riverwalk. Loved the gourmet breakfast, evening homemade cookies, DVD collection, and 24 hour soda and snack bar. Can't find any of that at a hotel.

We went to the Inn at Craig Place for our honey moon and were blown away by all the the attention and privacy that we received from kelly and gregg. They made our honeymoon stay very special. We would strongly recomend the inn for a romantic getaway. We will for sure return for our one year anniversary.

I'm so happy that there was room at the Inn!!! If not we would not have the lingering memory that we enjoy today! The Inn at Craig Place is outstanding. I believe 'real life' is in the small things and that was exhibited in our stay here with wonderful & unexpected extra touches...roses, fresh cookies, fireplaces, a library, extra large, lush bath towels & of course, the fabulous gourmet 3 course breakfast!! My boyfriend took me there as a weekend getaway. Little did I know he was going to propose!!! When we walked in the room, the floor was covered with rose pedals and the bed had a heart made of rose pedals. Kelly and Gregg did a great job setting up the room for what was one of the best days of my life. The room was beautiful. The next day, I was blown away with the breakfast served to us. they brought the breakfast tray to our room. We had creme brule french toast, baked grapefruit, orange juice in champaign glasses, and for desert (yes desert) chocolate sufle. The was the best experience of my life. I strongly recommend that you plan your next bed and breakfast to the Inn at Craig Place. I know we will be going back soon.
