Inn at Craig Place

My wife and I got married at The Inn At Craig Place on April 26th, and it could not have been more beautiful. Gregg and Kelly were the perfect hosts. I have never seen anyone work as hard as these two people and their staff. The food was gourmet and the ambience was fantastic...!!!! They truly went out of their way to make our special day even more special...!!! We will definitely be spending anniversaries there...!!! Joe and Pam Rogers

We loved our stay at Inn at Craig Place. We enjoyed having breakfast brought to our room each morning and they made sure we had breakfast to go the morning we had a flight at 6am. It is one of our favorite bed and breakfasts now. We hope to return in the future.

Delicious breakfast every morning, warm and friendly hosts, and a location close to every thing that makes San Antonio famous, minus the feeling of being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed being walking distance from a lot of little shops and restaurants and feeling like we were "local" for the weekend and living in a trendy neighborhood close to all the hotspots. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Craig's Place and would highly recommend the Inn to anyone new to Texas or even to those who live close by (like us).

The best B&B we've stayed. Gregg & Kelly are very personable and helpful. They gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to see. We like to eat by ourselves and liked the option of having breakfast on the balcony. The inn is beautiful, romantic and full of history. There are not enough words to compliment the food - every breakfast was different with dessert! We had strawberry crepes, cobbler and chocolate soufflé. Stay here - this is the best B&B you will stay at.

Our children gave us a visit to the Inn at Craig Place to celebrate our anniversary. We have stayed at many B&B's and this was wonderful Inn. The innkeepers attention to so many small details made this an exceptional visit. We especially loved the Hilibrand room with the private balcony area and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this Inn and are looking forward to a return visit.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The Inn was quiet, well-cleaned, romantic, and affordable. We loved our breakfasts outside on the second story patio and we stayed in the Happily Ever After room where we could utilize a fireplace and a jacuzzi! Gregg and Kelly gave us our every need and the food was to die for. We cannot wait to visit again on our one-year anniversary!

It was our second time in the bed and breakfast and loved it. The rooms are beautiful, the food was delish, and the people were friendly. We are talking on going back and maybe even doing our 20 year redoing our marriage there at the Inn! If you never been, its a must!

This was our second stay here. Again, our room was immaculate, Kelly was so friendly and accommodating, and the AM homemade breakfast on the balcony was pure bliss. We will be back again!!!

Stayed for two nights and loved every minute. Gracious and generous hosts who helped us plan our trip in advance as well as looking after us while we were staying with them. Who doesn't love coming home after a day at the missions to freshly baked home made cookies, and warm muffins being left outside the door before a late Sunday breakfast? And outstanding restaurants within 2 mins walk, the Pearl is a 5 min drive - all the fun of San Antonio but far enough away from downtown to feel like you're in another world. We hope to get back soon......

We had such a wonderful time while there.....we stayed in 2 different rooms and both were great. Kelly & Gregg made us feel so at home.........can't wait to stay there again.

This is the best place I have EVER stayed at. We truly loved our stay at the Inn at Craig Place. Gregg & Kelly were so kind and professional. It was also so sweet the way they cheered for us after we said I Do. This meant a lot because we did not have guests at our wedding, and Gregg & Kelly did so well to make sure that the wedding was flawless. Gregg's photography skills were amazing and Kelly was so gracious as she married us. I am counting down the days until next year when we will return for our anniversary. I'm also trying to find an excuse to head back to San Antonio! ;) I have already recommended the Inn at Craig Place to everyone I know.

I and my wife honeymooned here and when we came back to visit San Antonio 8 months later, it was the only place we considered staying. It's everything you could want in a bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The bathrooms are nice as well, and even though you're staying in a historic home, you don't feel like you have historic plumbing like in some old B&Bs. The breakfasts are truly gourmet and so, so good. They also come with dessert and you get coffee brought at 8:15 before breakfast and left outside your door. If that's not enough, you get homemade cookies at your door every evening. The service is outstanding. Gregg and Kelly are friendly, but always sensitive and discreet. You can tell that they desire to make you as comfortable as possible, but don't think that you came to visit them (which we greatly appreciated on our honeymoon after living across the country from each other up until our wedding). Obviously Inn at Craig Place isn't a super inexpensive place to stay, but when you look at what you get, the value is outstanding. If you enjoy the B&B experience, this place can't be beat by the swankiest hotel, and you'll be lucky to find another B&B as perfect at ANY price.

Just finished my stay at Inn at Craig's Place for our honeymoon, and to say the least, it was an outstanding place to stay. The owners of the inn were very nice and extremely helpful on helping us with our plans on what there was to do and were extremely kind. Excellent pricing and excellent care while we stayed. Would highly recognmend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. The cook there made an outstanding breakfast an made a really good cookie. Deffinantly will come back when we go back to San Antonio!

We stayed at Craig Place for a weekend getaway. It was more beautiful than we imagined. The room was tastefully decorated. Loved the in room jacuzzi tub!! The service was impeccable, having breakfast served in our room. The food was delicious. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I really wanted to stay at the Happily Ever After room but it was only available on one of our nights. So ended up booking it and switching to the Once upon a dream room for the second night. I had done some research on other B&B but I was unsatisfied with the look of the others. They looked like floral, old grandparents room with a musty smell. This B&B was very clean looking and romantic. As soon as we entered the door I was in love with the place. SUPER clean with the SUPER clean smell, relaxing and romantic. The library with the abundance of books and movies was great! We got a couple of movies and settled in. They recommended a few places to dine, which we're great and right around the corner! The seconded night as I mentioned before we stayed at the Once Upon a Time. I had Lasik surgery on our 2nd day so I had to come back and nap for a few hours. Meanwhile, a wedding was being held, it didn't bother us at all. After nap we headed out to dinner around the corner and hubby had secretly arranged a bouquet of roses to meet us when we arrived from dinner. When we got back it was so beautifully arranged that even my husband was surprised at how amazing everything looked! The breakfast was so delicious! Kelly is an amazing cook. She baked fresh French pastries and it was plentiful. The price may be a little higher than some hotels but if your looking to relax and spend time together, this is the place you need to be. We're looking forward to making this a habit every so often to just getaway and enjoy each others company.

Our stay was fabulous, every detail was attended to. The home turned B and B is beautifully appointed. The gourmet breakfast is 2nd to none.

Greg and Kelly were most cordial, the rooms were great and the breakfast to die for! Love the special attention to details, cookies at the door every evening, coffee or tea at your door 8:15a.m.! Greg even noticed I didn't care for chocolate and the last day of our stay had a different dessert for me! Very nice stay and can't wait to do it again!

Couple in our mid-20s here. We stayed at Craig Place after four days in a "cheap" New Orleans hotel. I chose this because I wanted to relax more than we did in NO. Good choice. Gregg and Kelly's hospitality is wonderful. We arrived a few hours late due to weather. Gregg called me and gave me the rundown on how to check in. He was also really helpful with advice on things to in San Antonio and the surrounding area (check out Enchanted Rock). Breakfast was really something else. You get an option of eating a full-blown meal or having it to-go. Of course, eating at the Inn is strongly recommended. You can eat in the dining room or have it delivered to your room or balcony for some more privacy. I liked the social aspect of talking with other guests while stuffing my face with delicious food. Day 1 was a french toast souffle, bacon, grapefruit, and a chocolate souffle. Day 2: Cantaloupe and strawberries, eggs wellington, and blackberry cobbler. Hands down the best cobbler I have ever eaten. Day 3 was fruit salad, a hearty egg frittata, and some sort of amazing fudgy chocolate brownie-like thing. You won't have to worry about eating lunch. Coffee (or tea) comes to your door at 8:15 in the morning. You'll probably get a cookie before bedtime. We stayed in the Hildebrand room. It's not one of the super-romantic rooms but it definitely was nice...which I guess is kind of romantic. Lots of nice amenities and little touches. Bring a toothbrush and you're pretty much set. Maybe bring your own bubble bath (though some bath oils are provided). Robes and house shoes are provided, but it might be worth noting that the shoes aren't anywhere close to a men's size 14.

We came here for a romantic getaway. It was lovely, and it made us feel like we were really on vacation. Warm cookies at night, coffee/tea delivered to the room, and breakfast in our room all made it very special. The blackberry cobbler at breakfast was fantastic. The room was very pricey but very lovely. Thank you :)

The owners are so nice and make everything just perfect. The breakfast is to die for. Rooms are wonderful.

We searched for a bed and breakfast in a close vicinity of the riverwalk, reasonably priced, and romantic for our 20th anniversary get away. We found all that at the Inn at Craig Place and we were not disappointed. The "Happily Ever After" room was the perfect retreat suite that we needed and nothing beats having breakfast brought to you every morning in your room. We highly recommend!

Greg and Kelly, I can't think of enough adjectives that can describe the experience my husband and I had at the Inn at Craig Place. It was our first time ever staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Honestly, I did not know what to expect, but I am glad we ended up there. I told my husband I felt that this was our honeymoon. Upon our return home we have not stop talking and bragging about your facility, professionalism, and food. I highly recommended all my friends and family to come visit. The Inn at Craig Place exceeded my expectations in every way! I took my boyfriend there as a surprise for his birthday and it was our first time ever going to a B & B. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our in-keepers, Greg and Kelly and given a tour of the property. They were attentive, but far from intrusive. Once we were taken upstairs to our room, we were blown away! We stayed in Barefoot Dreams and it was beyond gorgeous and peaceful. Very spacious, yet cozy and romantic as well. The library was always stocked with light snacks and drinks always accessible to us 24 hours a day. It was also fully stocked with a large selection of books and DVDs and was just a lovely spot in the house to relax. It led out to the wrap around balcony which was also very lovely to sit and relax during the evenings. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! The gourmet breakfast made you feel like royalty with the attention to detail and quality ingredients. It kept you full for majority of the day. The baked goods left at your door in the evenings were a lovely sweet touch and absolutely delicious as well. I can't wait until our next visit - my boyfriend was so skeptical upon our arrival, but by the time we left he was all smiles and can't wait to return. If ever you are in San Antonio, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you passed up a chance to be pampered by the Inn at Craig Place!

The owners were more than willing to accommodate us in our stay. Once we saw the room (The Happily Ever After) we were floored! It is an awesome room and the in room Jacuzzi was just the cherry on top! Very spacious, comfy bedding, great little sunroom, snacks galore! Breakfast was amazing! Kelly made eggs so awesome that my new hubby was raving about and he doesn't even like eggs! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, but we plan on going back for our anniversary & maybe even booking a night as a gift or two for loved ones since we loved it so much!

This B&B has been the nicest, well thought out as far as decorations inside and out, the most imaginative breaksfasts ever, and Kelly and Gregg could not be more helpful leading us on where to eat, places to visit making reservations, guiding us to the best and cheapest parking. The Inn at Craig Place is a wonderful place to wine and dine your sweetie ! Gregg and Kelly will spoil you rotten with their hospitality and delicious gourmet breakfasts ! The "Happily Ever After" suite has a whirlpool tub for two in the room which makes any romantic getaway a bit hotter ! San Antonio is great and this bed and breakfast just made it better for us.

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a vacation to San Antonio and decided to stay at a bed and breakfast for the first time. It was the best decision ever. Greg and Kelly were so sweet and welcoming to myself and my husband. We loved our room! The Barefoot Dreams room was so cozy, romantic, warm, inviting, comfortable, and perfect for us. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The breakfast came with dessert! The chocolate cake was just TO DIE! They even got me to eat baked grapefruit. I DO NOT like grapefruit at all. But I guess I do now. We also had the Romantic Rendezvous, and the Sweet Dreams packages. The desserts in the Sweet Dreams package were perfect, delicious, and beautifully displayed! I can't wait to go back again. I just want to cuddle up in there and never come back out! I just loved my entire experience there.

We had a small wedding for 25 guests and Gregg and Kelly did a great job of taking care of everything and made our day perfect. We stayed two nights and enjoyed all the pampering and romantic moments we spent at the Inn. We stayed in the "Happily Ever After" suite and think it's the best. Has everything you need for a romantic getaway. They keep everything clean and think of everything to make you feel special. We will definitely be back for an anniversary or another special occassion.

The food, ambiance, price, etc.was unbelievable. Our hosts were not just hosts, but friends. We will return here again, as this will be our little home away from home. We had a wonderful stay and if we ever return to San Antonio we will definitely stay at the Inn at Craig Place. The Inn is in superb condition and our room was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The food was outstanding in every way. This was one of the best experiences in a B&B we have every had.

My girlfriend and I decided to Stay at Inn at Craigs place and had an excellent time. All of my expectations were exceeded or far exceeded, thanks Kelly and Gregg.

We just wanted a place to get away and my wife found this, I was not so sure. But from the time we got there until we left it was great. The staff/owners seemed to really care and the food was incredible. If you are looking for a nice quite place to get away in San Antonio this is your place.

We spent 3 nights at Inn at Craig Place, and wished it was longer. The house is a jewel, the inn keepers are wonderful, and our breakfasts (which were served on our private porch area) were all first class. We plan on staying there anytime we are in San Antonio. The attention to detail in every way is what made the inn our favorite B&B of all!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful B&B for our 38th wedding anniversary. To be honest I was, upon our arrival, disappointed to see the house next door in renovation because it was so run down, but the Inn at Craig Place was so charming and the owners so welcoming and attentive to serving us that the house next door became a non-issue. Each morning, we were served a special breakfast which even included a small dessert. The breakfast was delicious and so filling that we didn't need to eat again until dinnertime. Each day, a coffee and tea basket was placed outside our door in the morning before breakfast and warm cookies were placed outside our door when we returned from the day. We've stayed in many B&B's, and usually receive special treats on just the first day, so this was a nice surprise. Other nice touches were the free sodas and water provided in the library room, and being able to drink my tea in a real teacup instead of a mug. They also have a nice selection of movie DVD's. We stayed in the Happily Ever After room, but since we arrived early and the doors were slightly ajar, we were able to peek into the other rooms to see what they looked like. They were all decorated beautifully, better than what shows in their photos. The only thing I would recommend to the owners would be to make the area where weddings are performed more inviting by planting some tall bushes along their side fence to block the view of the house next door while it is in renovation. But if you are just there for a relaxing get-a-way, you will enjoy it. By the way, the Mexican restaurant just around the corner (I think it was called La Fonda) was absolutely delicious and worth the money. The place is also within an easy drive to the Riverwalk and Market Square area.

Thank you for your kind words about the Inn and we're so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thought we should mention that the 100 year old manor in the neighboring parking lot is not actually under renovation so no worries about noise. It is in a dispute between the owner and the city historic association, unfortunately, and quite frankly an albatross around our necks. We have planted along the fence between, but the drought has kept some of it from growing as tall as we anticipated at this point. As for the weddings, the arch, chairs and decorations are situated so that guests are facing away from that house. Ironically, as one of our anniversary couples was leaving yesterday, the man said to us, "I know you don't like that house over there, but I love it. It's intriguing - like I can see Stephen King writing in there." It's all in your perspective, I guess. :)

We stayed here for two nights. We chose the Happily Ever After Room and it was the best room in my opinion. I got to see all the rooms but this one was just magical. We lost all sense of time here. It was like we wee the only ones in the house, it was that peaceful. The food was beautiful and tasted wonderful. The neighborhood was eclectic and two great restaurants right around the corner within walking distance. The owners were so sweet! It was the cleanest place I have ever seen! Not even a speck of dut under the bes, I am not kidding! I loved the place and it was just what we needed.

Beautiful and very tastefully decorated. We loved our room, in fact we loved the entire place! Hospitality was great, coffee at our door every morning, we chose breakfast in our room which was wonderful, there was a snack at our door in the evening too. It was conveniently located not far from downtown San Antonio. The inkeepers, Kelly and Gregg were great. We were there to attend a small wedding that was being held at the B&B. Kelly and Gregg did a wonderful job with the reception..We felt right at home the enitre time of our stay which was 3 nights. We will be visiting San Antonio again and will not consider staying anyplace but there!!!!

On April 21 2012, we had our wedding there! An amazing experience from start to finish! From the first call made to find out information to the actual event, we had nothing but friendliness from the owners Greg n Kelly ! Everything was so tasteful and elegant! An experience and a day we will never forget! They made every detail so special! We will definitely be back for our first anniversary and we would recommend The Inn at Craig Place to everyone! They take pride in what they do and it shows in the attention to every detail that they take... Just wow!!

Our stay at the Inn was spectacular. We didn't know what to expect and when we arrived, we were greeted by Mr. Greg Alba with a warm smile. His attentiveness was outstanding. He helped us with all of our directions to anywhere we wanted to go. The food was so delicious that we wanted to bring the chef home with us. They gave us ideas to redecorate our home. The room was cozy and very romantic. We plan on returning next year again.

After much searching on the internet I decided that The Inn at Craig Place was the place for us. We were not disappointed! We arrived earlier than expected and with a quick phone call we were in our room. Love the keypad entry. Our room was ready and beautiful. Everything about our stay was exceptional but the advertised "gourmet breakfast" was more than we hoped for. How amazing to wake up to coffee at your door, and then step onto the lovely balcony for a breakfast to die for! It was our favorite part of the day and I don't normally even eat breakfast! This easy, pampered start to our morning helped set the tone for our entire day. Easy and relaxed. The restaurant suggestions that Gregg made were perfect and within easy walking distance. The level of privacy was wonderful and a little unexpected. Even though we knew others were at the Inn we felt we had the place to ourselves. Without any reservation I recommend a stay at this Inn. My husband and I got married at the Inn a year ago and came back for our one year anniversary. Our wedding was perfect and the stay was so wonderful that we had to come back. My husband and I got married here in October of 2010 and it was exactly what we were looking for! We didn't want a big wedding, and we didn't want to go through the stress of planning anything ourselves. The Inn at Craig Place was perfect! It was all inclusive, so all we had to do was show up with our clothes and our rings. It was beautiful, from the giant oak we were married under, to the roses and the delicious food. The house is gorgeous as well, and the room was so nice and cozy. For the price we paid, there was nothing around even comparable to the quality of service we got. Gregg and Kelly made us feel comfortable and right at home, they are very nice people.... and great cooks as well! The breakfast is amazing! We really wouldn't change anything about our special day. We even went back for our 1st anniversary :) I'm hoping we can go back every year, we really love this place. Highly reccomended if you are looking for something small and affordable, yet still classy and beautiful.

To those that like bed and breakfasts but enjoy the privacy of a hotel, this place is perfect. Greg and Kelly go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome, but give you your space. The coffee basket being left at the door before breakfast was my favorite perk. I also appreciated having an option on what time we wanted to have breakfast and where we wanted to eat, whether in our room or out on the beautiful balcony. My thing with BandBs is that the breakfast should be just as special as the room and Greg and Kelly make sure that is achieved. In fact I almost wish Bedandbreakfast.com had a place to rate the food, because I would give Inn at Craig Place 5 stars.

This was truly one of the BEST weekend stays I have ever had. This was the first Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed and I was not quite sure at first how much privacy there would be, but it was great. I have never felt so catered to before in my life, the rooms, the food, drinks and the owners were all awesome. I would hightly recommend this B&B to anyone for whatever your occasion may be.

The Inn at Craig Place was one of the best B&Bs at which we have stayed. We were only there one night, but our stay was quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. Kelly and Gregg were great hosts, starting with the call to let us know that our room was ready and we could check in early. We chose the option of breakfast in the dining room and had a fun time visiting with Kelly and Gregg, and enjoying their delicious cooking. The location is convenient to Downtown and the Riverwalk (just five minutes away by car), but there is a lot to explore in their neighborhood and other parts of San Antonio too. I don't know when we'll return to San Antonio, but we'll be sure to stay here again when we do.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating 4 years of love and committment so we wanted to do something different but easy and very special. We had never been to a bed and breakfast before and I must say I was extremely impressed. Homemade cookies at our door every evening, starry glowing night sky, french inspired homemade breakfast. The decor in the room was exquisite. We loved it. The night sky and the cookies were my boyfriend's favorite part. The bath had a jacuzzi that could fit two people with bubble soap that actually produced bubbles!! The owners Gregg and Kelly hand delivered everything we needed. Even flatware which they went out of their way to provide for us.We both very much look forward to making a trip back very soon.

We just had our wedding at The Inn at Craig place. The wedding was absolutely perfect - beautiful ceremony, stunning surroundings, and completely stress free! Gregg and Kelly were very helpful in planning the ceremony and made our stay something that we will remember for our lifetime together. We stayed in the Once Upon a Dream guest room for two nights and could't be happier with our stay. The Inn was very clean and the room was very cozy. The bed was comfortable as were the plethora of pillows! The bathroom was immaculate and the jet tub was fantastic and very relaxing. Each night had a new type of cookie waiting for us in the room, and each morning a gourmet breakfast. The food was delicious and has inspired a few ideas for ourselves to make at home. We will definitely be back every time we visit San Antonio and recommend this stunning example of a bed and breakfast to as many people as we can!

My husband and I were married here in November and couldnt wait to get back!! We were able to get a one night stay this last weekend just to escape and it was just as wonderful as it was when we were married. Gregg and Kelly are so sweet and they make sure everything is perfect!!! The rooms all have their own "personalities" and the Inn is so comfy and quiet. Now the breakfast....WONDERFUL!!!! Thats the only word that can describe it...if you are visiting SA or you lives here as we do this is the perfect place to go to escape everyday life!!

Was great. Better than the pictures the breakfast was huge and great costumer service! So romantic the balloons strawberries roses and juice were already in the room waiting for our arrival. Our car broke down while we were out and we had to take a taxi back to the hotel and once we got there there were cookies waiting outside our door. It was over my expectations. They thought of everything! I will be goin back in the future!

My name is Bridget M, I have stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before, and The INN at CRAIG PLACE leaves ALL others in the dust! This was by far THE best experience that I have EVER had. The bedrooms weren't small, they were cozy. The food excellent! We had no curfew, easy door access, made coming and going most comfortable. The grounds were kept up very nicely. I WILL be back in the near future. Thank you very much for the MOST memorable stay ever.

We have stayed with Gregg and Kelly two times now. Both times really allowed us to "get away" and feel relaxed and still at home. We really love visiting San Antonio just to visit this B&B.

My husband and I usually like to spend time away on an island but this time as a well needed get away we choosed to stay in the US. Craig's Place came up on my email sight. My husband and I stayed here last week and it was amazing. The room was very cozy and relaxing and the hospitality was outstanding. The keepers were very friendly and the breakfast was truly a culinary delight. We will definetly stay here again when we are in the San Antonio area.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed every moment from the scrumptious breakfasts to the comfortable beds. Our room was really big with a fireplace. We were awakened with a coffee and pastry tray and then an hour later served a gourmet breakfast. Plus we had warm cookies in the afternoon. It was much nicer that we expected and we plan to go back.

The room was clean and well appointed and the breakfast was so good we didn't eat until dinner. Would definitely stay there again!

This is one of the best places I visited so far. I feel bad to leave this place.

The only bad thing that I can say about the Inn at Craig Place is that we had to leave. Right from check-in to our check-out, this was the perfect honeymoon getaway. You cannot find more hospitable people then Kelly & Greg. The food was out of this world and we felt at home as we took in the sights of San Antonio. THANK YOU for a very memorable honeymoon!

We stayed 10/30/11 thru 11/1/11. My new Husband say's, "Best ever. Magical. Awesome." We were married on Halloween and had a very small intimate wedding at the Inn (A Charming Affair). We had guest's come in a Halloween costume or in Wedding attire, which the owners found amusing. We had a outdoor ceremony and everything was so green and beautiful, perfect for picture taking. The weather was perfect, it wasn't too hot or too cold. Though if the weather had not been perfect, I'm sure the inside would have been just as nice. For the reception, Our cake was breath taking, it looked just like the pictures on the website. My favorite was the mini quiches, raspberry chipotle sauce and crackers. Gregg and Kelly made sure everything was in place and we felt like a million dollars. I don't think we would have got this kind service at other venues we had looked at. For the room, we stayed in Happily Ever After and I'm glad we did, it was so spacious and romantic. Plenty of space to move around in and get dressed. Very clean. My favorite part about the room was the sun room, it's very peaceful. We were excited about what to expect for Breakfast. For Breakfast on the 1st day, we had Crème Brûlée French Toast Soufflé with chocolate soufflé for dessert. It was divine. 2nd day we had the Ham and Cheese Soufflés, but I think it was served with sausage instead of ham. I might be wrong on which dessert though. It was very good and we finished up all of it this time around. We had a hard time finishing up the dessert and ended up not being able to eat everything because it's a LOT of food which tasted so good. Kelly is the Queen of gourmet. We were sad when it was time to go, but look forward to many get-a-ways and Anniversaries there. Thank You Gregg and Kelly for making our stay perfect and a Beautiful Wedding. Linda and Paul.

My fiance and I chose this place to have a small intimate wedding. We wanted to be married on 11-11-2011 Gregg and Kelly went above and beyond to accommodate us. The place is so beautiful! They go all out, the food is perfect, the rooms are so very clean! It's very quiet peaceful ad serene. They are super nice people and very patient. We were running very late Kelly helped me get into my dress and Gregg helped my fiance. They set everything up to look like a big wedding it was so much better than I ever expected or imagined. I was sas because none of my family could make it but Gregg and Kelly made my dreams come true! They are located right near the heart of downtown close to shopping dining and the FAMOUS RIVERWALK! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS PLACE.

The rooms were GREAT! They were very quiet. The location of the B&B was great! If you want a quiet escape this is the location. The Innkeepers were fabulous. We loved the breakfastsand the service. We will be recommending this place to our friends.

The owners of this Inn pay really close attention to small details. My wife and I got married there last year and it was awesome, just stayed there for our anniversary and was impressed again. Highly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay here...we just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back...it was very romantic, private when we wanted it to be, and the food was good! Dessert for breakfast is most definitely a great idea!

We never stayed at a B&B before. Our stay was nice, but quick. We only stayed one night and I can see that you probably need a couple of nights to really get comfortable. The house was charming and we had coffee on the upstairs patio during the evening. I tried to use the whirlpool tub, but I am tall so this was not relaxing to me. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic. It was a neat experience. I recommend trying this, but squeeze in a couple of nights.

Thank you for your review and kind words about your stay. It's a challenge to make guests and potential guests totally aware of the tubs in the Once Upon A Dream and Serenity rooms. We clearly describe them as "deep jetted whirlpool tubs" and show pictures with dimensions of them so as not to lead anyone to believe that they bigger than they actually are. Can two people fit into them? Yes, they have but it all depends on how small or how big they are :-)

We had never stayed at a B and B before this and so we weren't sure what to expect. We were thrilled with the whole experience. Gregg and Kelly made us feel right at home from the start. We stayed in The Hildebrand Room and it was just lovely. The room was spacious and decorated tastefully. It was clean and well stocked. We had fresh coffee delivered to our room each morning and a wonderful breakfast delivered as well. The food was just amazing! Each afternoon fresh cookies were placed outside our door as a little treat. I think what made this experience excellent was the fact that we weren't treated as an income. We were treated as guests that they wanted to impress! We were impressed! We will definitely stay with them again in the future!

Gregg and Kelly made us feel at home once again! Last year was the first time that we stayed at the inn for our honeymoon and our original stay was for only 4 days; we ended up staying for 8 days and loved it! We decided to go back for our one year annivesary and the service like always exceeded our expectations!

I selected The Inn at Craig Place as a surprise getaway weekend for my husband's BD and our Anniversary and it proved to be an amazing choice. The Inn is beautiful and although located in a residential area, it is quite secluded and quiet. With it being in the Monte Vista Historic District, just taking a walk around the streets nearby was wonderful due to the beautiful historic homes! The owners, Gregg and Kelly, were absolutely incredible at making our stay memorable! The breakfast each morning was delectable...some of the best B&B breakfasts we have ever enjoyed! Eating on the balcony was wonderful too! Beautiful big old trees in the front yard with cardinals and squirrels to watch was fun. Warm homemade cookies each evening delivered to our door and a pre-breakfast basket delivered each morning with coffee/tea and an "appetizer" was perfect! I especially love the idea of serving a dessert with breakfast....what a treat! I highly recommend this B&B...you will not be disappointed!

We were married at the Inn at Craig Place 4 years ago. Even though we were the current owner's first wedding, everything was perfect. Gregg and Kelly are wonderful, and every detail is in place. We have been back almost every year for our anniversary. Its great to wake up to coffee and delicious scones or muffins at your doorstep in the morning. We enjoy our coffee and amazing breakfast sitting out on the wrap-around upstairs porch listening to the birds. We love walking through the historic neighborhood early in the morning or in the evening. Our very favorite cupcake place, Kate's Frosting, is just a block away. This is our favorite getaway... we HIGHLY recommend it!!

Our stay at your Inn was the best ever. We felt so at home that it was hard leaving the rooms on some days. The Barefoot Dreams is just that... A Dream. It has become our code name for mentally escaping from the busy pace of our work week. The morning breakfast was an experience in itself. We felt so spoiled and pampered. We loved the old southern charm of the house. The porch gave such a beautiful view and was the ideal location for breakfast. Gregg and Kelly are the best hosts ever, they made us feel like family as supposed to guests. If and when we are ever in San Antonio again, the Barefoot Dreams room will be our home away from home. The decor and little details made our stay so special. We didn't really have to go far to enjoy our vacation. Watching TV by the fireplace was so soothing. The bed was extremely cozy, the flameless candles added a romantic touch. I could go on and on. We are already looking back to our next trip to your B&B. Food, service, atmosphere and amenities were fabulous. Innkeepers are friendly but not intrusive. This will be our place to stay when we visit San Antonio.

I suprised my fiance with a mid week stay at the Inn at Craig Place, we often frequent bed & breakfast's. Everything about the inn was amazing starting with the service. My husband and I first visited the Inn at Craig Place for our honeymoon in 2008 and have been back two times since. Greg and Kelly think of everything and are more than accommodating to your every need. From beautiful rooms to coffee and fresh baked scones or muffins on your rooms doorstep when you wake to an amazing breakfast and fresh baked cookies on your room doorstep when you return from your afternoon adventures, there is nothing left out or skimped on. Every time we have stayed with them has been great. The breakfast is delicious from the first bite of frittata to the last bite of chocolate souffle everything is deliciously decadent! WoW! My husband and I just recently married here at the Inn at Craig Place and it was more than I could ever ask for on our wedding day. My wife and I don't get away from home too often so we wanted to stay somewhere special.Craig's place proved to be that. It's located in a quiet older neighborhood that was fun to walk around. The house itself was beautifully kept as was the yard. Breakfast was great! Gregg took great pride in what he served. Each of the two mornings we had an entirely different menu served on the upstairs porch. Although all the rooms in the home were filled that weekend, it was quiet and we felt like we were the only people there. We would stay there again and would recommend Craig's place to our friends.

As a previous reviewer stated, we also have stayed at many B&B but this one tops them all. Our room was very clean and they came in every day to clean, which we have never experienced at any other B&B. The breakfast was exceptional! The presentation was so pretty. We enjoyed eating on the deck. My husband loved getting morning coffee outside the door each morning and the fresh cookies each night. They make your stay very comfortable and enjoyable. It's a peaceful area. Our room was very nice and I peak at some of the other rooms and they looked wonderful too. They have every detail covered. My husband and I have stayed in several B&Bs before...but none compare to this one. I can't begin to mention every detail because there are too many. They have thought of everything. As for the food! Well being from Louisiana it takes alot to impress us with food, but Kelly did it! The food was unbelievably good. Gregg was so helpful and kind. You can't get this hospitality anywhere else. We arrived a while after 6 and the owners were in their car leaving for the day but when they saw us, they stay a bit longer to get us checked in and give us some information which was nice. Our rooms was great and cozy with delicious chocolate and cookies awaiting us :-). We loved the library and the balcony and the three course breakfast in the balcony was awesome. Gregg and Kelly are very nice, accommodating and helpful.

Our stay was great. Me and my husband had just gotten married on the day we checked in. There is no other place in the states that I would have wanted to stay at instead of Inn at Craigs Place. They were wonderful and great. They truly blessed us. The hospitality was wonderful and the peace and quiet we had was priceless. We have nothing negative to say. The place was top of the line. We recommend everyone to give them a chance first. I almost decided against them because a hotel gave me a better price but everything inside me said stick with them. We went with my gut feeling and I am so happy I did. This couple is a blessing. The food was great. The room was beautiful and the home beautiful also. They put their heart into this.

3/24/2011 Craig Place Inn is the Perfect Place to have a Small Intimate Romantic Wedding. From the time we arrived til our departure Gregg & Kelly made our stay most enjoyable. Me & my fiancee had searched the web for several weeks & came across their website. After reading all the great reviews & Seeing what a Beautiful place this was we knew this was the Perfect place for our Wedding. Gregg & Kelly went all out to make sure that our Wedding Day was Special. We had a Couples Wedding Only & It was the Most Romantic & Memorable Day that we will always remember & Cherish for years to come. From the Awesome Gourmet Breakfast served to us on the balcony each morning to the Cookies left at our door each night & the Special Pictures that Gregg took of our Wedding & put on a Dvd for us that was placed in our basket with our Coffee & Tea in front of our door the next morning. You will never find a More Romantic Inn to stay. Craig Place Inn is by far the Best Inn that you will find in San Antonio!!! We would Highly recommend it to Everyone. I could not have imagined a nicer stay at a more beautiful place. We were greeted with such warmth and hospitality that we immediately felt at home. I stood slightly open mouthed as we walked up to the front of the beautiful house and had the same reaction as we walked inside and toured the rooms. Each evening we went to sleep with the stars above us and every morning we woke to the sounds of birds. Our breakfast was INCREDIBLE and we never once felt rushed or pressured to begin our day any earlier than our liking. I truly cannot express how wonderful our stay at the Inn at Craig Place was. i am from San Antonio, but my work for the last 5 years has taken me out of state. I frequently come back to visit family. I usually book a hotel downtown, but decided to try something different. Hands down! this B&B is the nicest place I have ever stayed. Most of the hotels closer to the Riverwalk will nickel and dime you to the bone - parking, internet, food, etc. I have stayed at the "luxurious" Westin (EXPENSIVE!!) , historic Menger (smells like cafeteria and you can hear everything in the room next to you!) , and budget Red Roof (outdated) - all are much more expensive and terrible quality for the money. The Inn is in an older part of town. I saw an earlier post from an individual commenting on "bad neighborhood" As a native San Antonionian, Monte Vista is actually a very safe part of town. I went to school at SAC over the summers and would walk to grab lunch, etc. It is just an older area of town. Although I concur some homes out there need a facelift, you are probably safer here than deep downtown. As far as the rooms -WOW!! Each one has its own fireplace, the linens and decor are beautiful, and the breakfast is truely gourmet!!! As soon as you step out of your car you can see the immaculate attention to detail from the gardening outside to the careful restoration of original pieces inside the house from the glass doorknobs to a painted mural in the dining hall. You will not regret booking your stay here. I will def be coming back to this inn for any of my future travels.

The food is amazing - foodies rejoice! And you can eat the food in your room (with a 9 or 10 delivery - they'll bring you coffee at 8). If you want, you can eat in the dining room with others. Great library with books and DVDs. And the rooms...to quote Liz Lemon: I want to go to there. Everything a B&B should be!

My husband and I recently vacationed in San Antonio and stayed at the Inn at Craig Place. The inn is beautiful and the decor matches the feel of a house built around 1900...with all of the modern amenities that one could want in a modern inn. Our room was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Hands down the best breakfasts that I've ever had...and I'm very discriminating. We felt spoiled, and were very sad to have to leave!

Gregg and Kelly are incredible hosts. We feel welcomed and pampered every time we go. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the food is truly gourmet. Also, our favorite Mexican restaurant is within walking distance, right around the corner.

It was a beautiful, peaceful experience. For two parents who have never even had a honeymoon, it couldn't have been more perfect. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and pecfectly put together. The owner was available and friendly and very helpful in getting us around town. The first chance i get to go anywhere again it will be here. Completely satisfied.

All I can say is the pictures do not do the Inn at Craig Place justice! The house was unbelievably beautiful and the food was to die for!!!! Gregg and Kelly know exactly how to treat their guests, like royalty. They are there when you need them but do not bother you at all. My husband surprised me with a honeymoon package which included a dozen long stemmed red rose bouquet, chocolate covered strawberries and sparking apple juice along with glasses to toast with. Rose petals were scattered all over the room and in the shape of a heart on the bed. I was in absolute awe of how amazing the room looked! Little did I know the real treat was in the morning when breakfast was graciously served in our room and the food was absolutely out of this world! The chocolate souffle was yummy. We will most definitely return to the Inn for many more years to come. Somehow Gregg and Kelly have thought of everything and pay very close attention to detail. I can confidently say the Innkeepers make this place very special! The Inn is also very conveniently located to the downtown attractions. We absolutely 100% recommend this Inn! My husband and I had the privilege of staying at The Inn at Craig Place on the weekend following Valentine's Day. We had the Serenity Room - and it was fabulous! From the romantic music and fresh cookies when we arrived, to the fireplace and jacuzzi tub - everything was absolutely beautiful. Gregg and Kelly were incredible hosts - and cooks! I can't wait for the next opportunity to stay in this beautiful home!

My husband and I went here for my husband's birthday and a pre-anniversary celebration, it was so worth it, with almost 6 kids( one otw) its hard for us to get away and enjoy it being just the 2 of us, but here we were able to have a mini honeymoon, reconnect with one another, enjoy awesome food, and comfortable/relaxing accomodations. The inn is very close to all the "hot" spots, our room was clean and food-award winning, we're thinking of making this our annual anniversary spot; our secret getaway. Greg was very nice and knowledgeable about the city and its sites, funny, he was an excellent host, and his wife, we didn't see her until the end, but her sweets were something not even grandma could top...she's talented. We went for our 15th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful and romantic place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will be back again!

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience. The Inn at Craig Place was an ultra quiet getaway that provided great service and tasty food. Upon arrival we were given a personal tour of the B&B and check in was very quick, then we were shown to our room.... OMG, when we walked into "Once upon a Dream" (The name of our suite), we were so happy with what we saw. Very romantic with it's own private bathroom (Jet tub and shower) we were just ecstatic... Soon after settling in the Innkeeper Craig who is a very nice gentleman hand delivered fresh cookies to our room which were absolutely delicious! The next morning we were met with fresh coffee and scones at 8:15 and breakfast at 10:00 (You have your choice). All I can say is before breakfast even arrived we were already looking at dates to book our next stay at the Inn. Thanks so much to the Inn at Craig Place for making our Valentines Day weekend something extra special :-) Jamie and Nathan

My husband and I spent a weekend at the inn, in the Hildebrand Room. The inn itself is absolutely beautiful. Our room was charming, romantic, very clean and had so many thoughtful touches. Gregg and Kelly are gifted with wonderful hosting abilities. My husband and I felt so welcome. The breakfasts that were served were out of this world. All-in-all, this is a must-stay kind of place!!

My husband and I heard about the inn at craig place from a friend. They had an amazing experience so we made reservations for a night the weekend of Valentine's Day. The Inn is beautiful, and we were told it was the 3rd oldest house in the neighborhood. It was in excellent condition. Gregg was wonderful, warm, and welcoming. We stayed in the Happily ever after room that had an adjoining sun room where we had breakfast. It was an amazing first experience w/ a B&B! The breakfast was 3 courses, and perfect for a breakfast lover!! We met Kelly the next morning, and she was just as friendly and warm. We were sold on breakfast being brought to our room! It made the romantic evening even more perfect!! The other great thing is that it's minutes from Pearl Brewery and Riverwalk where we had dinner. It is a great location! I would highly recommend this place to family and friends! And, we will be back!

When you drive up it is such a wonderful site to see. Gregg and Kelly are such wonderful people they are so nice. Our stay felt a whole lot more personal then staying at a hotel. Breakfast was amazing it was so good and something we looked forward to each morning. The rooms are so Beautiful. It's like your in a fairytale. My husabn and I didn't want to leave it was such a wonderful experince. If your want to get away form everything with your someone special you need to go the the Inn at Craig Place.

Stayed in the Serenity Room and it was fabulous!! Early coffee and scones in bed followed by a GOURMET breakfast in bed an hour later- a place you can just stay in and relax!!

The room was nice, the glow in the dark stars above the bed was romantic along with the fireplace and candles in the room. Breakfast was wonderful!! Staff was great. :)

We had a 2 night stay there during our honeymoon, and we loved our stay at Craig Place. We loved the breakfast- make sure you're hungry, and all of the little amenities there. The hosts were wonderful as well- we'll be back for our anniversary!

If you are looking for a good bed and breakfast to stay for a couple of days then the craigs inn is the place to go. The couple are very helpful and will do anything to make your experience the best. We had a gourmet breakfast both mornings that were ridiculously good. The wife knows how to cook and bake. The husband made sure my reservations were squared away. My wife said we are definitely going back again. Kelly and Greg thank you for the experience.

Kelly and Gregg run the most amazing inn I have ever been to. They were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! They were willing to offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do whenever we ran short on ideas. Gregg always waved when he saw us leaving in the mornings and made it truly feel like home. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a romantic stay and a unique experience.

My husband and I stayed here on the final two nights of our honeymoon. What a wonderful place! Like almost all the other reviewers, we will have a difficult time adjusting to normal life after staying here. The breakfast meals were quite amazing! Gregg and Kelly do their best with the details and making sure every aspect of your stay is perfect, relaxing, and enjoyable. We loved the evening fresh cookies, beautiful decor, his and her robes and slippers, jacuzzi style bathtub, even the fresh decorative garnish on the breakfast dishes. Gregg and Kelly are very friendly and personable and we loved getting to know them during our short stay. This by far is the best place we have ever stayed at and will return again as soon as possible!

Everything about Craig's Place is a touch of grace. There is such thoughtfulness in the decor of each room, in the lovingly prepared breakfast, the nighttime cookies, the roses with a special note, etc. This was our 3rd year to visit...we always come on our anniversary. We leave feeling pampered, refreshed and renewed. Thank-you to Kelly and Gregg!

We had a wonderful stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was beautifully decorated and super cozy with so many personal touches! The house was easy to find, close to everything and yet, secluded. Gregg personally welcomed us on arrival and was gracious, full of information and gave us a tour of the place and the amenities. We were blown away by the delicious and creative snacks and breakfast. Everything was perfect for our anniversary celebration and we will return any chance we get!
