My husband and I had a delightful time at this B&B! Celebrating our 5th anniversary late, but when she asked, Dr. Ada Yrizarry told us that we would be getting a cake in the refrigerator in the room, to celebrate our 5th. Such a nice touch! And she was so sweet. We stayed in the honeymoon executive suite. Be warned: the bed is hard. And when we asked for extra pillows, she didn't have any. The pillows provided didn't have much shape to them--not very supportive for the neck. So we improvised: we used the throw pillows under the bed pillows, and it worked just fine! And the food was absolutely marvellous! All made from scratch, the breakfasts were gourmet! And, when we arrived, there was an old-fashioned bath, which Ada had told me would have bath salts with it. I took a bath in it, with both bath salts, and boy, was that relaxing after a day of walking around town. Wonderful experience for both my husband and I.

I loved staying at Dr. Yrizarry's Bed and Breakfast. The house is well located in the Monte Vista neighborhood--in a pretty neighborhood and close enough to walk (about 20 minutes) to downtown and the Riverwalk. It is also close to Trinity University which I was visiting. Dr. Yrizarry was a great host. She made a beautiful breakfast each morning and was very helpful with walking and driving directions. I would definitely stay here again.

Dr. Ada is a lovely, intelligent and funny woman. Her house is overfilled with a large variety of interesting things to look at. I don't know how she keeps it dusted but she does. Maybe it's the salt lamps. The breakfasts were delicious and well presented.
