Swimming Pool and Gardens
Bridal Suite The bridal suite has a queen-size mahogany canopy bed, a fireplace of blue porcelain tile, a large Louis XVI French armoire and a writing desk. A television, VCR, telephone and a high speed internet connection are available for your use. The bathroom has a procelain sink and a large, 2-person jacuzzi bathtub with shower. This room was featured in "Country Inns magazine" and "Fiesta Magazine." Price: $150 per night plus tax
Front terrace and gardens.
The Studio This is Mary Bonner's original studio. It is detached from the Bonner home and has white-washed stone walls and a saltillo tile floor. It is furnished with a queen-size iron canopy bed and hand-carved furniture from Mexico. A wireless high speed internet connection, television, telephone, VCR and small refrigerator are available. The bathroom has a shower and spacious lavatory. This is a very private room with a southwestern sizzle. This room was featured in "Texas Times Magazine." Price: $120 per night plus tax
The Garden Suite The Garden Suite is an upstairs room which overlooks the swimming pool and gardens. It has a king-size four poster rice bed, day lounger, kidney-shaped inlayed writing desk, love seat and coffee table. Beautiful lamps sit atop marble bedside tables. English and Belgian tapestries adorn the walls. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath tub with shower. The love seat and lounger surround a large open fireplace with gas logs. Like most other rooms, it has a television, a VCR, a telephone, and a high speed internet connection. Price: $150 per night plus tax
The Ivy Room This is one of our more popular rooms. A queen-size sleigh bed, built-in closet, Louis XVI armoire (housing a television, VCR and multiple drawers), colonial-era writing desk, antique walnut English bedside tables and a Victorian red-velvet chair all contribute to this charming room. This features our largest bathroom with a tub/shower combination and imported tile floors. Modern amenities include a telephone and a high speed internet connection. Price: $120 per night plus tax
The Portico Room The portico room is light and airy. Located on the first level, enjoy your own entrance to the swimming pool area and gardens. The room has a hand-painted, imported porcelain fireplace, king-size rice bed and civil war-era writing desk. A local artist, John Crawford, has painted a sky-blue mural on the ceiling for your wake-up enjoyment. The bathroom has a spacious shower and mosaic tile floor. The room has a television, a VCR, a telephone and wireless internet access. Price: $140 per night plus tax
The Ancestors Room This, our smallest room, is located on the second level. An unusual collection of antiques and paintings make this room special. From the Henry II French armoire, to the original paintings done by family and friends, this is likely to be an memorable stay. The marbled bathroom with shower is cozy, but elegantly finished. This room also has a television, a VCR, a telephone and a high speed internet connection. Price: $99 per night plus tax
Living Room Our goal here is to provide a comfortable setting for our guests to relax. Play a game of Chinese checkers, solitaire or Scrabble. Plug your laptop computer into a high speed internet connection to do research, e-mail or surf the web. The comfortable chairs and sofa are perfect to curl up on and read a book (pick out Texana books from the front shelves). Enjoy the artwork, admire the antique secretary and put some soft music on the stereo.
Dining Room The focal point of the dining room is a working fireplace decorated with Italian tiles (chosen by Mary Bonner on one of her trips to Europe) and topped with a Mercer mantle piece. Over the fireplace is a painting of a Spanish conquistador. It is unknown whether this was originally installed when the home was built or at a later date. The large dining table seats eight people comfortably.

4.4 out of 5A Lovely Stay in San Antonio
March 03, 2013
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bonner Garden. Our room looked right over the garden and pool. Very peaceful. Great location for getting downtown - a very short drive to the Alamo and Riverwalk and none of the noise. Close to the Brewery with great restaurants. Margi and Jim were friendly and welcoming hosts and served lovely breakfasts. We felt right at home.
5 out of 5Great location for outstanding B & B
March 02, 2013
Arriving at 8:00 p.m. we were greeted by Jim, shown our room, and then enjoyed wine, beer and cookies as we sat in the parlour looking over the history of the house and neighborhood. Our room was charming with antique furniture, lots of light and a large bathroom. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful from our room! Margi's breakfasts were wonderful!! It was a perfect start to each of our five days in San Antonio. We were within 10 minutes of downtown on easily accessible side streets. Our goal is to return to relax around the pool and rooftop deck.
4.8 out of 5Very good.

October 15, 2012
Mike and I have stayed at more than a few B&B's. The one thing that differentiates a good one from poor - besides the basics of rooms, location etc is the hospitality of the owners. Margi and Jim make every guest feel welcome and spark great conversations around the breakfest table making everyone there a friend. Great food, wonderful room and good hosts all at a reasonable price. Who could ask for anything more!
