We had a bit of a mixed reaction to our stay. It was a bit disappointing to realize that there was no common area for guests to gather. We did speak with the hostess several times but it was always with her standing in the doorway of her private section. We did not have a bath mat for the first 2 days of our 3 day stay. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was Ok with yougurt and cut up fruit. I did like the French press coffee.

Everything from reserving the room to checkin was as smooth as possible. Deb had everything well organized and was terrifically friendly when we met. The neighborhood is beautiful and very charming. We were also able to walk to eat very easily. Lovely weekend all around.

We came to San Antonio for our sons graduation from Air Force BMT at Lakeland AFB, which is only about a 15 minute drive. We stayed downstairs in the Providence room. This room is nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The room itself was nice and clean and stocked with fresh towels, coffee and juice. We were not able to try the breakfast because we left early every morning. This B&B is located in the King William District. Access to thru Riverwalk is just down the street. There are new restaurants nearby that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Liberty Bar which used to be an old hospital is a great place for drinks. Hot Joy is a great place to get Asian cuisine. Hot Joy also has great drinks. There are a few more outdoor eateries located just down the block from A Yellow Rose on S. Alamo street. Overall, we had a great time. Just wish we had a little more time exploring the area. Definitely tons of gorgeous historical houses to see.
Again, congratulations on your son's huge accomplishment. Lackland parents have become a big demographic for us and I'm thrilled you enjoyed your stay. Thanks!

We stayed at the Yellow Rose during the UIL Basketball Tournament and our stay was excellent. Pricing was in line with other hotels close to the River Walk and the walk was not bad at all. Will definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Yellow Rose B&B in the San Antonio King William District was an absolute delight. The accommodations were perfect for our 4 night stay. The location was just close enough to all the city attractions and restaurants. Deb was the perfect host and provided us with a wonderful breakfast each morning. We would definately stay there again. Highly recommended ¿¿

My stay was lovely! I selected the coffee, tea and juice option so I cannot comment to the quality of the onsite dining.

We were in San Antonio for the Missions Marathon Half and picked the King William area for the proximity to the race. We came to realize that A Yellow Rose was walking close to downtown and "found" the King William District by sheer food fortune. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We only stayed two nights, leaving too early both mornings to ever enjoy having breakfast, but I am sure that the meals would have been on par with the high quality we enjoyed in every other aspect of our stay.

We spent 7 wonderful days at the Yellow Rose. Our room was large, clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The porch was a plus, we enjoyed sitting outside on February evenings! Having a small refrigerator was great. Deb's breakfasts were delicious and were delivered right to our room. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, we enjoyed walking in the King William district. The Mad Hatter diner was a great place for a light supper.
We think the best part of our guest rooms is that each room has a porch. [except for the carriage house] Believe it or not, it is still pleasant outdoors and perfect porch weather.

A Yellow Rose Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located within walking distance of all the top sites of downtown San Antonio. I thoroughly enjoyed walking to the River Walk, Market Square, La Villita and The Alamo. My room was large and had lovely historic charm. The King William neighborhood is diverse with a wide range of historic homes of all types and sizes. You can thoroughly get lost in the neighborhood as one house is more interesting than the next. The local nearby restaurants that were recommended were an excellent and a refreshing change from the usual suburban chains.
Glad you enjoyed our favorite part of living here....being able to walk to so many places and enjoy the historic district.
