We stayed for 3 nights and the room was lovely. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to all downtown attractions and close to the Riverwalk. The area is beautiful and the room was huge, well supplied with everything anyone could wish for. The binder of suggestions was great to have and the hosts were unobtrusive but readily available. We enjoyed the continental breakfast on our first day - lovely fruit, yogurt and sweet bread. French press coffee each day and a fridge to keep our beer cold - to enjoy on the veranda! Highly recommend and we look forward to being able to go back again!
Thanks! I am so glad you had a good time and really appreciate you taking time to submit this review. Happy trails!

The room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean. The neighborhood is beautiful, and is very convenient to the Riverwalk area, lots of restaurants, and to the missions. The hosts are lovely, helpful people. The only drawback was the sound of trains whistling several times during the night -- adds ambience but interrupts sleep.
I'm sorry the trains disturbed you. The tracks are pretty far away, but if the air is thin or the wind in the right direction the train whistle can be heard. The city is working on providing this area with a quiet zone. Fingers crossed!

We stayed the weekend at A Yellow Rose and absolutely loved it! In a great location and neighborhood, walking distance to downtown. Super convenient parking right in the back and charming rooms and hospitality. We ordered the full breakfast for the room and it was delicious. Would definitely choose it again over any hotel.
