    ARBOR HOUSE INN and SUITES was opened in October 1995, but the history of the buildings which now comprise the unique 8 suite bed and breakfast, began in 1903, when a Swiss cabinet maker built these cottage homes for himself and his family. During recent renovations the houses were awarded the San Antonio Conservation Society Plaque, awarded for excellence in historic renovations. The 4 buildings are clustered around a lush garden with beautiful fountain, outdoor seating & umbrella tables, in downtown San Antonio. Arbor House is centrally located one block from historic La Villita, and the River Walk, and two blocks from the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. Other attractions such as the Alamo are 3 blocks away. Guest Suites have been individually decorated with furnishings and art work collected from a myriad of sources - functional, interesting and fun. You will never stay in any hotel as unique, intimate or convenient. Each house has only three suites, featuring high ceilings, pine floors, private baths, and all the conveniences of central air and heat, state of the art phone system with data ports. All of the suites have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee pots. Some suites have private balconies. "We provide visitors a relaxed atmoshpere, a center-of-the-city location, and San Antonio charm at a reasonable price." A new tradition in downtown San Antonio.     This suite occupies the second floor of one of the houses. This suite includes a sitting room, inside of which is a small refridgerator, microwave oven and coffee maker. The bedroom has a king sized bed with a mirrowed headboard. Each room has TV equipped with cable and remote control, as well as phone with voice mail and one data port. The large bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and marble vanity. Just outside either the bath or sitting room is a large balcony with wicker chairs and table. Perfect spot for the continental breakfast which is delivered to your door each morning. Robes provided.

    These are the largest at about 750 sq. ft. each. The sitting room is large with 14' ceilings and ceiling fans along with a queen size sleeper sofa. Through a pair of tall pocket doors to a bedroom of equal size, you find a king sized bed with night stands and an armoire. There is a full kitchenette with a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker. The kitchenette also has a sink and cabinet space. There are TVs in both rooms, phones with voice mail and one data port. The bath is large with oversized marble tub and vanity. Robes are provided. Beautiful pine floors and rugs, lots of windows.

    This suite has a sitting room approximately 10'x12' with chairs, standard sofa/bed, TV, phone and data port. A small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker are also in each of these suites. The adjoining bedroom has a king sized bed and 2nd TV. Robes are provided. The bath is large with an antique, claw footed tub/shower. Again, lots of windows, pine floors and unique artwork.

    This suite is adjacent and similar in size to the Garden Suite. Nice sized sitting room with TV, phone, data port, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Bedroom has a king sized bed and 2nd TV. The bath is small, but compartmented with a seperate "water closet", shower only, no tub. All fixtures are new. Robes are provided. Accessible either from the sitting room or the bedroom is the private balcony, 6 ft. deep and 20 ft wide with patio furniture for your rest and relaxation.

    This is the only single room accommodation at Arbor House. The room is 16x14 with a king sized bed with a mirrowed headboard and armoire. Other amenities include a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee pot located in a hallway leading to the bathroom which has claw footed tub/shower.

    Reservation Policy

    • Deposit amount required: In order to make a reservation, a valid credit card number is required. A charge equal to 1 night's room and tax will be charged to that credit card as a deposit.

    • Cancellations: In the event the reservation must be cancelled the deposit will be returned, less a $25 service charge, provided the following: Cancellation of the room or suite is received by the Inn a minimum of 7 days. For holidays or special events (ie. Fiesta, AlamoBowl, etc.), cancellation will require 7 days notice prior to the expected day of arrival. Bookings of 3 or more rooms or suites will require 14 days notice in order to receive a full refund. If the above requirements are not met, the 1 night's deposit will be forfeited by the guest. Early departures are considered as a cancellation. A minimum of 72 hours notice is required to avoid being charged for those dates, otherwise the guest will be responsible to pay for those dates.

    This was our first bed and breakfast. We were a bit nervous at first booking. When we arrived our perception was changed. It was a series of cute, historic buildings. The staff was very nice. The rooms were unique and had character. The views were outstanding. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many major attractions in downtown San Antonio.

    Huge suite accomodations in four charming houses overlooking a plesant courtyard and garden. Amazing to find such a great inn within just a 10-minute walking distance from Riverwalk and the heart of the city. The innkeepers are friendly and accomodating. No central dining room for breakfast, but a picnic basket of fresh fruit, juice, bagels and muffins is delivered to your door. No question but that we would return the next time we visit San Antonio.

    Very good location to the River Walk Etc. Breakfast too much of the same.
