Instead of just picking oldest son up from band camp at Stephen F Austin University and heading straight back to Dallas we found Beans Creek Ranch. We got lucky and booked on very short notice. This is so much more than just a cabin in the woods. The property is beautiful and all 86 acres are open to your whims. Enough trails are cut through the woods to satisfy the self propelled and motorized ATV adventurer alike :) There are friendly horses and longhorns. A great firepit and and even some perch to be caught in the pond. The crystal clear swimming pool is delightful. Friends from Greenvilee on motorcycles joined us the second night and loved thier cozy cabin too. Even had the Weber ready to go. Owners more than accommodating and gracious. Blueberry muffins redefined! Thanks Louis & Stephanie!

This is a great place for a weekend getaway. There's no tv, no internet, and no cell phone service. But there are friendly horses, long horn cattle, a lovable little Lab, and a pond full of fish. There is a fire pit for roasting smores, and a charcoal grill for cooking dinner. The cabins are clean but sparse. Very comfortable, but nothing fancy. You do have A/C, a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. The owners bring out a fresh breakfast each morning, but other than that they give you the run of the place. You can fish, hike, swim, or cook out. and the Texas State Railroad is only 5 minutes away.

We just returned from a two day stay here. It was quiet, beautiful, and well worth the price.Don't go if you don't like dogs, quiet, or if you must have good TV or cell phone reception. We love dogs, and don't care about TV or cell phones.

My family and I have been going to Bean's Creek since May 2008. We have made 4 trips back and have loved it every single time. Our kids enjoy the property with perks such as their beautiful pool, fishing pond, horses, longhorns and just having the ability to run wherever they want. The hosts are the best people, they are so generous, kind and true country folk. The breakfast brought to you every morning is fresh, hot and always a delight. I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone and everyone....especially if you have kids. We are planning two more trips as of now. And the railroad ride is so relaxing and great for kids as well. The train will go right past the property. We just love this place!!

Our trip to Beans Creek was too short- we could have stayed for weeks. The cottage we stayed at was decorated beautifully, antiques and old books to read, made us feel like we had gone back in time. While we only stayed overnight we can't wait to go back for a longer visit. Sunday morning breakfast was delivered to us (homemade cinnimon bisquits and fresh watermelon along with fresh juice). We ate on the porch and enjoyed to beautiful view. With swimming at the pool, fishing in the lake, beautiful paint horses and lots of friendly dogs made for a great mini vacation. Louis and Stephanie certainly have a beautiful ranch- best part of the trip was being able to bring our dogs with us. We hate to leave them at home so to be able to bring them with us was great. Rusk is a beautiful country town with lots to see and do- can't wait to go back. Randy and Michele, Magnolia, Texas
