We spent a long weekend in Pappy's Place. A total of eight people occupied the cabin with comfort for all. the owner's were extremely nice and very attentive to our needs. The interior was very clean and decorated tastefully with many nostalgic details that reminded me of times gone by. the exterior was in a high state of order. A variety of spaces to relax in, a plat area for little ones, a grill area and a nicely done fire pit. The property had ample parking to include room to park and maneuver my 29 ft pontoon. Two decks on the outside of the cottage were great for relaxing or storing coolers or cleaning/drying scuba gear. The adjacent pond had a sitting area with a swing that was great for having morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We look forward to returning one day and would highly recommend Pappy's Corner to anyone looking for a quiet getaway that's close to Lake Texoma.

Just got back from a weekend fishing trip with "The Boyz" and I must say that hanging out in the Texas House in-between the fishing made for an amazing trip. Beautiful craftmanship throughout and very spacious, both the breakfast casserole and cake that were provided were delicious as well. I thoroughly enjoyed laughing it up sitting around the fire pit at night. I can't wait for the next trip out here as I'm sure this will become an annual event from this point forward for me.

We stay at Pappy's several times every year over the summer. Comfortable, and a nice set up. Lot's of space for the family. Julie's home cooked cake and breakfast are great too.

We decided we did NOT want to go tent camping yet with a 3yr & 5yr old, so we thought it would be a good fit to goto a cabin. We found Pappy's paradise online and thought "The Cabin" would be a perfect fit for our family of 4. It was!! The kids absolutely loved it...they loved sleeping in the loft, roasting hot dogs & making smores in the fire pit out front, walking around the area, and sitting in the porch swing. It was nice having the at-home ammenities while 'roughing it' (I know, this isn't truely roughing it, but a start when you have little ones). Wonderful weekend (2 night) getaway. The kids have been asking when they get to go back again. Oh, also a FANTASTIC price for the area.
